  I bought a new Portege with Win Vista on it and Win Xp on a CD Revovery. It has worked on my new laptop. Then I installed Win 7 on it without making a backup of my system of work. It was a big mistake. I downloaded Win 7 of the Toshiba homepage divers. But the Fingerprint Software means that there is no sensor. The driver has been installed. After much trying, I used the recovery CD. Now I have WIN XP on my system with the same problem. It was a recovery with all the drivers CD. He had to work. But it does not work.

  Someone at - it an idea? Could someone help me?

  Is it difficult for you to test it with Vista image too?

  Please help me with this query I have.

  I just bought a Satellite Pro U500 with Windows 7 installed. I also have a TOSHIBA Windows XP product supplied with the laptop recovery DVDs. Was told I could downgrade to XP with the DVD.

  I want to install Win XP in addition to the existing installation of Windows 7 on a different partition, I intend to create.
  Can I create a create a separate partition and then use the recovery TOSHIBA Windows XP product DVD to install Win XP on it?

  Am just worried I might spoil the on the laptop's recovery partition?

  Basically, I want to be able to run the current Windows 7 and Win XP on my machine and want to know the best way to do it without damaging the existing TOSHIBA recovery partitions.

  I want to use the recovery DVDs TOSHIBA Windows XP product to install XP on a new partition with windows 7 OS.

  + downgrade to xp + means that you are not allowed to use your win7 installation any longer...

  ask problem "dual-boot":
  burn a DVD restore *, choose from the start menu

  After that, you can choose partition wich you like "sacrifice" for xp and install it...
  XP can't 'see' the install of win7, but you need a Boot Manager to boot both systems (xp is crushing the win7 boot code)

  or you go the other way:
  installation of xp and then install win7
  This has the advantage that win7 offers you the ability to boot xp from the bootmenu.
  in both options, you lose the hard drive recovery!

  the card reader is now working with the card reader for win vista driver.

  Dear HP Windows 10 gurus,

  I upgrade my HP Jet 7 (5701ng) Tablet to Windows 10 twice now, but I'm having a few problems that I hope experts can help with.

  1. The F11 on Start method of the BIOS to perform a factory reset is not available more after the upgrade to Windows 10. It is really important that Stream 7 users have the ability to easily perform a reset factory must take place 'the worst'.   This morning, I received the hub surrounded by bubblewrap in a blink of an eye bag and I tested it out (actually I am writing this reply using my Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000 keyboard and mouse with the USB dongle connected by the hub as well as the original HP charger and lead). Cyrex experience, isn't that everything works perfectly as advertised for me also. The hub, switch is in position 2 (as has happened) is the position designated for this model of Tablet. Earlier, I was playing files WTV through Windows Media Player to a USB memory stick connected via the hub and which also worked perfectly and the battery charged throughout the.

  After my a few hours of testing today I can say deep I think we have a cheap and effective and compatible with this product solution!

  With respect to the other items on my list, I'm little bit to find solutions to those as well (although I was not happy to have to install a 3rd party product called GPSDirect in order to get my Bluetooth GPS receiver works with Windows 10 cards). I am convinced that this should be responsible for setting as they were responsible for 'break' this compatibility in OS latest due to the location/sensor API revised Microsofts.

  Once I get my new memory stick I will try the new installation of the OS from scratch using an ISO and pilots provided good HP that this will create not a Windows 10 sharing recovery that can be activated at the start with F11 (at least I don't think it will be), as well as from my factory equipped HP USB Windows 8.1 media restoration Bing standby if the disaster occurs I think that this should be a satisfactory solution to this problem.   Can someone tell me if NEITHER-DAQmx Base 2.0 is compatible with Win Mobile 5 devices?

  I try to capture analog voltages and my app very well builds and the charges for the PDA and the PDA does not see the DAQ (6062E) PCMCIA card that I use.

  I ran the installer of 'Base' which has copied the Base/s driver file in the PDA (and I have the basic task OK configuration in VI), but the PDA comes up with an error "unrecognized card". I deleted the driver/s of the PDA database and reinstalled them but without success.

  Is that all just because the Base 2.0 is not compatible with Win Mobile 5?

  Is there a way I can get 2.1 base to work with LV-Pro-8 and PDA - 8 or y at - it another way I can get the drivers on the PDA that handles the card under Win Mobile 5 6062.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated,

  Sorry for my late reply.

  The problems are a combination of LV8.0, Base 2.0 and hardware failure.

  In the end I went with LV8.6, Base 3.2 and Win mobile 5 with 6024E PCMCIA card or 6062E.

  The basic hardware config utility is a bit different and took a little of violin to go. I also found some documents that lead me the wrong path re save for the project or unit basic tasks, but now I understand it's all good.

  I don't know if your customer still has problems, but I'm more than happy to help if I can.

  Our Office recently we are facing issue with as "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" error blue screen frequently in most of the laptop,

  all the laptop with Win XP Pro-SP3 and Win 7 Professional.

  * It causes while he was working on several browsers or applications.

  * A few times everything by removing the Ac laptop adaptops, getting suddenly Bluscreen problem with the same error as "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".

  My troubleshooting:

  * In format and re-install with fresh people with Win XP and Win 7 Pro system.

  * Updated with the latest patches from Microsoft.

  * Updated all hardware drivers of Lenovo

  * We use Symantec Antivirus 11.0 client in all laptops, in this way, we had to also call with symantec and log the issue with them. but according to the confirmation of Symantec, it is not caused due to Version 11.0 Symantec

• XPS13 and Lexmark Pro901 - problem

  I have two XPS13 Win 7-64 machines.

  Both have wifi for Lexmark Pro901 printing problems.

  I have different brand machines that use the same drivers for Lexmark customer and have no problem.

  Limited to XPS computers.

  Problem

  First computer startup I can print something without problem. The second request is blocked indefinitely.

  On each system, run delete print jobs to remove stuck in the queue print jobs, and then restart your computer.

  In the batch of December of Windows updates, Microsoft has installed Internet Explorer 11. IE11 caused printer problems.

  Open Internet Explorer, click on help, then click about words of Internet Explorer. It should show the version here. If you IE11, then go to control panel, Windows Update, updates installed, look for Internet Explorer 11. Click Internet Explorer 11, uninstall.

  Restart the computer when you are prompted. Then see if your printer works.

  I just bought a new computer hp laptop g6x I wanted to use it temporarily to record music while I rebuilt my pc studio. the laptop came with win 7 Home premium and the same problem of latency mic that everyone knows. ive tried drivers that I tried to change the binaries of reg, that I even tried to run win xp as a virtual device by vm ware, the problem is win 7 still had control of the sound card. None of the fixes in the forums have worked. I guess that I have a card his rare idt. If I can't find the fix here I was about to set up a dual boot with win xp option, I would really prefer not to make or take my new what I thought was a bad * back of laptop.   Hi, well bad get right to it. I have a dell studio XPS 1340 and have recently upgraded to Windows 7 last week. everything was fine until last Monday. When I switched high performance mode for my battery, my nVidia card also goes to Boost Performance. but this time, I got a blue screen with this:

When I first upgraded to win 7, Skype has worked well. but now, when I run a video or normal call, my computer completely freezes. In addition, the games I play seem to decrease in performance. I used to be able to play very good Burnout Paradise, but now there is a significant drop in fps. also, the computer seems to use more cpu and heats more quickly. The battery life has decreased too. and when I use windows media center to connect with my xbox360, my phone freezes when I try to access a video.

  The page fault has a high probability to be RAM or hard drive related.

  You can test the computer memory using the memory diagnostic tool.

  You can start the memory Diag tool by clicking the ORB start and type 'Memory diagnostic tool' in the search box, clicking on the entry that is displayed.

• Upgrading to Windows 7 HP Pavilion dv6500 and have a problem with the resolution

  OK, here's my problem. I had Windows Vista, has been sick with it. I'm not used to ask someone if I can or can not install some software or OS, so I have two formatted partitions (recovery hp too) and installed windows 7 now, I discovered that he had a lot of problems with the drivers. I have successfully resolved all of them, even my hp legacy works and everything else, except the driver Nvidia. My screen resolution is 1024 x 768 and should be 1280 x 800. I tried all the drivers that are provided in the topic above here (dv6000 - dv9000 update for Win 7 or something like that) also downloaded and installed this driver "179.48_notebook_winvista_win7_32bit_beta", nothing helps worked on this problem for 2 days, am tired and ask for help I need resolution 1280 x 800 on my screen , and I now have 1024 x 768.

  Dan or one of the others may be able to help if you post exactly what indicates the error.

  As you say you are not a noob so maybe you need to change something in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Maybe go to the advanced option when you're at NVIDIA.

  Personally when I clean installs I delete, and format the entire disk before installing W7. Doing it this way usually prevents this kind of error occurs. When you use the W7 install disk to format, it may not remove all of the old files registry Vista and can cause problems.

  If you start from scratch once again, this may solve your problem, but there is no guarantee.

  It took 4 tries on my HDX from Vista to W7 to do things.

  I just took a glance at my NVIDIA advanced and under Show options there is an option to "manage custom resolutions. Here I could input what I wanted. What's your has that?

• Pavilion dv3507ea 64 bits - RAM (and Win 7) upgrade

  Hello, this is a long time since I've posted here... on a backlit keyboard on my dv3507.  The topic is still underway nearly two years later!

  I move to win7 (maybe I should of taken advantage of upgrade offers on this site some time ago).  As well as the upgrade to Win7 I increase the ram.  Currently I have 2048 and mounted a 1024 module - i.e. the two slots in the populous 3507.  I intend to replace the 1024 2048 module to give me 4 GB.  I know the improvement will be negligible, but I'm always happy to throw money at it...

  In the manual of the computer it says it is 6400 667 ddr2 sodimm.  I ran various "analyzers" including crucial and he says that it is 6400 800.  I checked the bios and the HP system tools to see if it tells me that the clock speed of the memory installed but it does not show anywhere.  I don't know whether to believe memory manual crucial analysor tool... and at least 2 other tools who say it is 6400-800.  Only the manual says that it is 6400-667.

  I'm pretty sure that 667 and 800 can be appointed, but with the 800 synchronizing to the slower speed (667).

  Has anyone here upgraded their ram?  If so did you use mixed speeds?  All the problems?  And all the problems on the upgrade of the dv3507ea for Win 7?

  Your laptop can be upgraded to windows 7 64 bit without any problems. You can download the drivers for your hardware on here.

  To clear the confusion, in theory, when different speed RAM modules are used, all of the RAM should clock at the speed of the slowest module (usually you can see what kind of limitation only on Intel systems).

  Your laptop supports 667 and 800 Mhz clock speed, and it wouldn't cause a problem if you use mixed speed memory modules but I suggest you use all the same memory sticks with clock even to get optimal performance speeds.

  Although PowerCLI is supported on Windows Server 2008, the Get-VMGuestNetworkInterface cmdlet is not. The problem is that the output of the command ' ipconfig/all' has changed with Windows server 2008. This cmdlet uses the ' ipconfig/all' command to retrieve information. What has changed in the ' ipconfig/all' output, which is the line "IP address...:" changed to "IPv4 address...: This is why the cmdlet can no longer retrieve the IP address.

  The GetVmGuestNetworkInterface_WindowsGuest.bat file in the scripts of your PowerCLI installation folder is used to retrieve the information. I'm trying to learn how to change this file so that it also works with Windows Server 2008.
