Third time trying to update my Flash Player?

I have a MacBook Pro that runs on the Mavericks software and uses Adobe Flash Player.

Initially, I got a message saying that my Adobe Flashplayer is obsolete.  In response, I tried to download the most recent version that was downloaded about 30% of the way and would not go further.  After several attempts, I took my computer in a store of support tech to my house, just to know that it wasn't my computer, this is the latest version of Adobe flash player which is apparently "broken."  Professionals from the tech support shop gave me a link to substitute the new flash player and install an older version, allowing me to watch videos again.  However, the same problem reappeared and I took my computer in the same shop in the hope of finding a permanent solution.  Today, I received the error message once again tried to install the new update and failed once again. This is my THIRD time meet the error message.  I tried to contact support Adobe several times and am disappointed that it is almost impossible to talk to someone of my question.  New guidance is appreciated, because I'm tired of exhausting my bank account tries to solve the problem on my own.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help you.

Hello

Apple has blocked the old versions of the player.  If you install older versions, you'll get the same experience.  Please try the installation off line/standalone program displayed at the bottom of this page, http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html.

Another potential cause of this problem is that the lock timeout is set too low:

    1. Select the address bar of Firefox (click or press CTRL + L)
    2. Type of topic: config and press enter
    3. Click on I'll be careful, I promise!
    4. in the filter box, type dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs
    5. Double-click the setting and change the number.

The default number is 10, for a default timeout of 10 seconds. Some games Flash can be slow and requires a higher setting. I would recommend to change that to 20 if you have problems with this.

In addition, it would really help if people who encounter this problem let us know what games Flash is slow - and as soon as they are slow. Thank you!

  • I get a 'connection error' when trying to update/install Flash Player

I have a previous version of Flash player while trying to update. The installation doesn't make it beyond 5% before saying "connection error". I tried all the troubleshooting steps and even tried to uninstall. When I try to download the uninstall program, I get a page on safari that says "safari cannot connect to the server" (I also tried it on firefox, same problem). I tried to locate it in my bar tools and applications to uninstall from there with no luck, it disappeared completely. Not in my trash, nowhere. Don't know what else to do. I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5. When I check for Adobe to see if it is installed on my computer, it says that a previous version is installed, 16.0.0.

  • Update of Flash Player seems to have reset Firefox.

Windows Vista up to date. Last update of Firefox. Latest update of Flash Player.

I followed the prompt to update Flash Player as usual, which opened and ran through Internet Explorer (sharing computer, IE is the default browser). After download and installation of update of the FP, it opened the "Step 3" FP in Firefox page, apparently it crashing in the process.

Normally, Firefox opens with 2 pinned tabs (which is Pandora) and all that is left in the last browsing session. This time he opened with a darkened/unloaded (the page tab "FF crashed") and the stage of FP Adobe page 3 in the 2nd tab 2 tabs, that has been loaded. No other tabs pinned or other. Opening FF opens the start page of FF and not the other tabs. The normal configuration is listed in the story under "Restore Windows closed" ("Restore closed tabs" has a separate list).

Opening from the previous installation to "Restore the windows closed" reveals the installer, though Pandora has become indeed inadmissible (cache, cookies, history, etc. has been deleted) due to a buggy script. However, regardless of where I sail, FF never restores the previous session (as it is supposed to), but rather by default is the start page.

I have not tried resetting FF, in the hope of a better solution.

    Thanks in advance.

Please try reinstalling Flash, it is possible to restore the session restore file in the folder of your profile to an earlier version. But firstly I would recommend to backup and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox

  • MSG for error ProgramFiles\SearchExtensions\Client.exe & Avira does not update & Adobe Flash Player does not work

Hello.  My computer is running XP.  My cpu is Intel Core 2 Duo processor.  Sometimes I use Firefox and Chrome.

At startup, there is always a prompt that shows "C:\Program Extensions\Client.exe Search make sure that you type the word correctly and try again".  With it, there is a white rectangular black box with label on top "C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe.  With her, I also noticed my antivirus Avira will be not updated.  It says "Your PC does not work properly", and when I click on "Difficult problem", it says "error" and does not always update.  And with her also, I can't update Adobe Flash Player.  It downloads, and then when I click "Run", he always says 'error' could not retrieve the data it needs.

I tried to uninstall and install new Avira, and it's always the same problem.  I am also afraid that I can't watch my favorite videos from YT because it requires an update to Adobe Flash Player.

I searched the internet for problems Client.exe and svchost.exe, and in one of the answers with Client.exe and taskeng.exe problems microsoft, I tried to follow somehow solutions step by step.  They require that you are looking for a task scheduler or folder tasks and I discovered my computer is not all that.  Any Scheduler task and in System32, no task folder.  Because you need to search for files with "rocket" in there and delete it.  Others find it useful.  I don't know if this is the case even with my computer.

I also try to do a system restore.  He has yet to eliminate the prompt error Client.exe and svchost.exe.  After I did, there is a message box that says "Avira CCPLG. XML file is missing.  I searched the internet, but nowhere, you can download this missing file.

I hope that my computer has no need of a reformat.  I hate reformatting.  Also, what is ADWCleaner?  Is it advisable?

Help.  I need "simple" solutions  If you have any other questions regarding this problem, please bear with me, because I'm not a techie.  Hope that everyone out there can help me.

    Thank you.

    Oh Yes...

Looking at a different Google search results, in addition to deleting "rocket"-oriented tasks, they mention using Autoruns to delete any "rocket" focused on the startup items that you may have:

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=mKchQdXjuPA

It is a good idea and you can get Autoruns here:

    https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Autoruns is the program Windows msconfig on steroids.

Just download it, unzip it in our office or somewhere you can find it, run Autoruns.exe, enlarge the window, you can see everything and wait until it finishes populating the list of entries.

When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.

Look at everything and log tabs and you can also see your scheduled tasks.  You can also click on the "Find" button (looks like binoculars) and looking for something to do with the 'rocket', and delete them. "."

The items that appear in a color shrimpy came not "signed" with third party programs, that you have installed, and are not usually a problem.  The manufacturer just didn't "sign" their files properly.

The items that appear in a yellow color are the entries that point to a file, the path, the place that doesn't exist so that they are a bit suspicious because they probably don't make sense more.  I usually just delete those yellow, but sometimes they come back.

Autoruns does not install anything on your system - it just runs on request, so you can keep around or remove it when you're done (nothing to uninstall).

  • Page updated Firefox always said 'you need to update Adobe Flash Player now! ", but identifies the missing plugin update process which I am unable to find.

I click the button to update Flash Player on the web page updated to Firefox that brings me to the Adobe Flash Player download page. By clicking on the download button now takes me to a page of instruction poster screenshots to wait during the process. The InfoBar at the top of the page says it has a missing plug in, but by clicking on the button "install the plug-in missing" translates to "not found any plug-in." There is no other button or active link on the Adobe page that allows me to move forward with the process. This same thing happened the last several times that Firefox has updated. Flash Player has not been updated for a long time.

    Hello Annette,.

I am glad that you posted the question in the Microsoft Community. I'll certainly try and help you update Adobe Flash Player.

To stop Microsoft Security Essential, open MSE, display settings, real-time protection Open, uncheck "Turn on real-time protection."

Don't forget that you turn it on again once your download/installation is complete.

    Caution:

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. • I was constant (several per day) reminders to update my Flash Player

There is no end of Flash Player pop-up ads (my favorite is the one who interrupts my work to let me know that my Flash Player is up-to-date. (if there is a reason any interrupt me to let me know that?). Today I seem to be getting the other side of the story.

Earlier today, I received a notice that I needed to update my Flash Player. I closed this box because I didn't do this moment at this time, but 10 minutes later, I had the same request and thought "just get it done."

    I did it.

Then about 30 minutes later I got again the request. I closed the window. then about 20 minutes later I'm me again the request. So I thought that "maybe I have has not clicked the right button or something...» "I did it once again.

I'm still too often these messages.

    Hello

You can check if you have the latest version of flash player installed on your Mac for Safari (NPAPI) browser by going to:

Preference of the system-> Flash player-> updates

Here you can see the list of the NPAPI and PPAPI versions of Flash player.

Above these lists, you can see the 3 options of how you want to get updates. You can choose from these 3 options.

    Thank you.

  • Not able to download the update of Flash Player

I have a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.  And I'm running on Safari 6.  I tried to download the update of Flash Player for Adobe Flash Player Installer 15 since last week.   The download box appears when I click on 'Install Adobe Flash Player'.  He requested my password, I come into the box of shakes showing that I entered the wrong password.  I changed my password for Adobe and my administrator password.  And still nothing.  And I can't uninstall it because I apparently do not have the right password.  I asked for help on this problem last week.  And no one has been able to help.

This password is presented by your operating system and is designed to prevent you from accidentally installing the software.

If it comes to your personal computer and you don't need a password to connect to the computer when it first starts, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to go to this prompt.  If it comes to your personal computer and your normal password does not work, make sure that CAPS LOCK SHIFT is off, and then type the password carefully.

If this is your work machine and he asks an administrator password, well, you will need to have a conversation with your computer friendly.

If you are still puzzled, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:

  • Trouble installing the update of Flash player 14.0.0.177 for Chrome

I tried to help my mother to update his flash drive. It was flash version 14.0.0.145 running and having problems with it. When I saw there was a newer version, 14.0.0.177, so I downloaded it, I was checking things for her. Chrome, to activate it on the plugins page, but the only version to appear was the old man. As far as I know, this is how it is installed. She has a computer with the windows operating system windows 7. Is there something I'm missing here, or something I must try that might help to get the latest version of flash running? Thank you!

    Hello

The version of Flash Player integrated in Chrome is updated by Google, not Adobe.  For this version of Flash Player, it seems that Google has released Flash Player via an update to Chrome (as opposed to a components updated, they do sometimes), in accordance with this page Chrome releases: Stable channel update, which indicates that 36.0.1985.143 is the version that contains the update of Flash Player. You can navigate to chrome://chrome to trigger the update (or tools > about Google Chrome, that goes to the same page).

  • Notification of updates to Flash player version

Looking for a way of automatic notification by which we can be invited for pending releases update of Flash Player so we can pack the new version for the distribution of our advanced users.

It's actually pretty easy, and we provide offers pre-packaged of ActiveX and NPAPI versions of Flash Player ready for distribution through AD, SCUP, KCP, etc

We also provide an Extended Support Release, which is still patched with security and updates published in parallel with our generally available release, but the goal is to isolate the organizations against the risks associated with the development of new functionality, while keeping the security update.  For organizations that have requirements strict tests of updates of product feature-bearing, it's our way to provide the pain relief as the cadences of browser version and the security landscape have required much faster for Flash.

Let's all start, you must apply a Flash Player distribution agreement.  It's free.  The license for download is not technically grant you permission to repackage and redistribute the player, so you don't get access to all of the prepared packages and view.

We expect changes in the distribution of the House to increase the number of applications coming, so if you are redistributing current Flash Player within your organization now and that you do not have a distribution agreement, take a few minutes to fill out a new agreement until we have absolutely overwhelmed with new applications and our processing time takes a hit.

    Adobe Flash Player Distribution. Adobe

Once you have been approved, that could be fast enough, I hope, you will have access to our distribution portal, and I think that you will get automatic notifications by virtue of being on the distribution list.

Probably, you should also register for the Notification Service security Adobe, just so that you do not know to be notified of critical updates to any of our products that may be on your network:

    Adobe - Security Notification Service

Here is the guide of the system administrator for Flash Player, who probably has something that you will find useful:

Adobe Flash Player for Flash Player 14 Administration Guide | Adobe Developer Connection

Flash releases player on a monthly rate, aligned with Microsoft Patch Tuesday and more occasional releases out of a cycle, when we need to deal with critical security issues.

Flash Player also includes automatic update service, which we strongly recommend that you take advantage, especially if you are already very busy.  If you are updated on an ad hoc basis, you let your users exposed to threats that we have already alleviated.  Given the level of sophistication, that we see with organized crime and State sponsored piracy, no time to do a binary diff to a new version and debone patches to use them against older versions.

While we work closely with our partners in the research and security communities, and the vast majority of these updates are the results of the questions which are discovered and disclosed in a responsible manner, it is important to keep your customers put far, especially when we are issuing out of remedial program when an active fault has been identified in the field.

Anyway, I think that the above resources will keep you abreast of everything that is essential and give you access to all the tools necessary to distribute Flash Player inside your organization, while minimizing the associated work.

    Good luck!
