Error message "You must update your flash player" IE9

I have Flash Player version installed 10,3,183,10, which I believe is the latest version. I am under W7 Ultimate 64 bit, IE9 and used to use the 32-bit browser. I get an error message 'You must update your flash player' and "links are displayed" whenever I meet a video link in IE9. I have google chrome, and display the video correctly it. I uninstalled and reinstalled flash player and also tried the beta version 11. Nothing has worked? I recently installed and uninstalled Firefox and Opra, that's all I've done this may be linked to this problem.

Thank you.

You can try the steps outlined in these two FAQS?

ActiveX filtering in Internet Explorer 9

    Hello

    This can help you:

Download and run the Flash Player Uninstaller, as Flash can get damaged.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Windows.html

Then download and install Flash Player; After unchecking installing Chrome and Google toolbar option:

  • Script error when you try to install Flash Player 18.

, I get a script error when you try to install Flash Player 18. The error box says "line of Script error 202 tank 13 Unable to set property"innerHTML"undefined or null references code 0 URL C://.../Downloads/flashplayer18ax_ra_install.exe/160" and "undefined" is on the screen of the installer after I closed the error box.  I'm on a Dell Inspiron, IE 11.0.9600.17843, Windows 7 Home Premium Svc Pack 1.

I get this same error box any installer that I use for Flash Player 18.  The error box appears immediately after I launch the installer. I reinstalled flash player 17 successfully two days without problem, but of course Flash Player 17 does not now work on web sites.  I ran the Adobe flash player Uninstaller a couple of times between tries - same result, same script error box.  I've lost count of how many times I tried to install it and my fingers are raw...

Roughly the same time the error box appears or a second or later, my Norton Insight pops up a box that says that Norton has not enough information about this program (the installation program, I guess), to recommend this program, but I don't think that it prevents the installation program to run. Or maybe it is?

This problem seems to come from the installer of Flash Player, but I don't see anything from Adobe on this matter.  I tried running as administrator, I disabled the parts of Norton to see if it is this error source - I've searched for hours on the internet and I can't find answers.  I've never had a Flash Player update problem so far.  Anyone can understand this or point me in the right direction?   Thank you.

    Hi all

Installer online team was interested in to this yet and the DPI setting as the culprit.  If the DPI setting is not set to 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% returns the script error.  If you are DPI setting is set to something else, assign him one of them please and Setup online should work.  The team is working on a fix for this.

    To check/change the DPI setting:

    1. Start the control panel and go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display
    2. In the left menu, select set size custom text (PPP)
    3. In the Windows Setup custom DPI select 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% in the menu drop-down
    4. Click OK
    5. Select apply
    6. Open a session/disable
    7. Online installer should now run without displaying the script error.

  • Error message prevents the installation of Flash Player 11.1.102.62

    I have a Dell Studio 1737 laptop with: Windows 7 64-bit, Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26 GHz 2.27 Ghz, RAM 4. 0 g.

Try to install the latest version of Flash Player. The download is smooth. When the installation reaches 50%-51% a message pops up saying: "the Flash Player Settings Manager is currently open. Close the Flash Player Settings Manager and try again. "The only Flash Player Settings Manager I found is an icon in the Panel as"lash 32-bit player. Receive click on this icon, the Settings Manager opens. However there no provision for "closing" except the 'X' in the red box in the upper right corner of the window to the Settings Manager.

I used Adobe uninstaller and uninstalled Flash Player. Then tried to download and install again with exactly the same results, as explained above. I tried many, many times with the same result.

The users forum has a post about this problem for Flash Player v 10.3, it says to go to C:\windows\system 32 find FlashPlayerCPLAPP.cpl, then delete it and try the install again. I looked in C:\windows/system32 and the specified file is not there, needless to say, I can't delete it.

I have also looked for Shockwave in the list manage modules and it isn't here.

Bottom line: I don't have any version of Flash Player installed on my laptop and am not able to install the program.

Any ideas? Thank you very much in advance for any help!

  • 'incorrect type for the socket' error message during the installation of flash player.

MacBook Pro (15-inch) with El Capitan 10.11.5, Safari 9.1.1 OSX Version.

Message received from new flash update. Conducts system preferences to download. Download went to the file downloads. Close all windows including the browser. Opened, dmg began to download. Error message as follows "Type incorrect Protocol for socket AdobeFlashPlayer_21_a".

DMG trashed, uninstalled Flash Player, downloaded from the Adobe site, same message. Started in safe mode. Shut down, started normally, always impossible to download Flash Player. Now, I don't have any Flash Player and cannot download any version.

Help would be appreciated, thank you very much. Pat

It is possible the error of mounting the DMG is related to the 10.11.5 update.  Please see cannot load DMG files after installing 10.11.5 | Apple Support communities.  A number of people get the same error, with various software, when mounting the DMG if none of the suggestions in that work of forum for you, contact Apple support for assistance.

As an alternative, you can also try using the installer in offline mode, posted at the bottom of the problems Installation | Flash Player | Mac page, in the section "Problems", but I suspect exhibit you the same behavior.

  • I get a 'connection error' when trying to update/install Flash Player

I have a previous version of Flash player while trying to update. The installation doesn't make it beyond 5% before saying "connection error". I tried all the troubleshooting steps and even tried to uninstall. When I try to download the uninstall program, I get a page on safari that says "safari cannot connect to the server" (I also tried it on firefox, same problem). I tried to locate it in my bar tools and applications to uninstall from there with no luck, it disappeared completely. Not in my trash, nowhere. Don't know what else to do. I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5. When I check for Adobe to see if it is installed on my computer, it says that a previous version is installed, 16.0.0.

  • Error message "You must use an account with administrator privileges to install windows 8.1..." When you try to download Windows 8.1

ORiginal title: cannot download Windows 8.1 due to problems of administrator

    Hello

I just got a new laptop, Dell Inspiron 15R with pre-installed Windows 8. Aware of the Windows 8.1 update I logged on my account (which represent the highlights of settings I have administrative privileges) has sailed to the store windows and clicked on the download tab Update button. I received this error message that I couldn't fix:
"You must use an account with administrator privileges to install windows 8.1." Try connecting with the user of an administrator on this PC account and retry the update"
I am the only user of this computer and as such am probably the only person capable or able to be an administrator. Does anyone have a solution?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Error message - "You must be connected to the Internet to play songs from music to Apple."

I'm running OS X version 10.9.5 with iTunes version 12.3.1.23.

Adobe Flash Player was working fine until I downloaded the latest update. I've lived cela in April when I had to uninstall Flash Player and reinstall an earlier version. I tried to do that this time, but had no chance. It still does not work. I have Mac OS 10.6.8.

You have posted in the forum of Developers of Acrobat.com .  Do you think the Flash Player forum would be more appropriate?  In addition, "does not work" means absolutely nothing.
