Thunderbird 2.0

I am trying to import v7 Eudora data files into Thunderbird. I learned v2 for it. Where canI get an older version of Thunderbird 2.0?

Where did this information come from? I don't think that is correct.

In any case, you can try TB 24.

    Hello world

I use a PC for business purposes (I know it's bad) and I would like to set up my email address in a Thunderbird client. I tried to use my email address in @ mac.com, me.com and icloud.com with iCloud vainly password authentication each combination.

This means that there is a password different email than the one iCloud and if yes, where can I find it?

    Thank you for your support.

  • How can I configure extract of Message in this latest version of Thunderbird?

Used to be able to put in place a command something like extract Messages selected on one of the menus at the top. You set up and when click on the menu option send the attachment in the folder that you identified. I had this set up in the previous version.

So, how do I once again? I can not even find the menu at the top. I hate this Chrome like thing with all the previous menus stuck under the icon of 3 tiny lines on the right. TERRIBLE! Can I rest Thunderbird menus in the toolbar superior ion to the old and much better view?

  • Migration Eurdora to Thunderbird 3.61 hic

I downloaded Thunderbird 3.61 and am trying to migrate mail in of Euroda. When I try, I get the following msg:

    "The message sending failed.
Could not open the temporary file C:\Users\Eric\AppData\Local\Temp\nsemail-6.eml. Check your setting of "temporary directory". »

I erased all the attributes of all directors in this way. For some reason any Tbird does not always manage to recover the temp msg they send. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The problem at the moment is gone. I think that someone on this forum (that I use often and find very little claire) commented that Yahoo Mail is something of a burden to society and therefore not given much attention. After some advice that I indeed found a new Yahoo certificate installed in Eudora in the last days - he wasn't reliable natch - so I added it manually to the trust list and Eudora itself works fine now. I'm a happy camper.

  • Suddenly I can't receive emails from a particular address on one of the three e-mail accounts that I have on Thunderbird.

These emails come from a non-response address, and I get quite a number on a daily basis, so I was wondering if Thunderbird has a sort of virus protection that prevents me to receive. They won't in the junk mail folders or spam folders. I checked with HER on the Web site that sends these emails, and they said that everything was going well at their end. It shows emails through. However, I could not receive even their test sent from their account message no answer. BUT when they sent from another account, it came through fine. So the problem seems to be with my receipt of messages from addresses no answer. This began to happen on December 14.

I thought maybe it's something in my antivirus software, which is something called Symantec Endpoint Protection (provided by my employer), so I tried also the implementation of all the email accounts three on another computer. This serves as my Thunderbird email software but has another antivirus (Avast free) program, but I'm having the same problem.

Finally, I tried bypassing Thunderbird by accessing my three email accounts from the web. Still not received the mails no reply. Would it be to say that Firefox is also involved?

Obviously, * something * on both my think computers these emails 'no response' are spam or virus even. (Yet, I get spam every day a lot of other sites, go figure!) The only thing that the two computers have in common is Thunderbird and Firefox. The computer, I tap on the Windows XP Home with service pack 3 rums. The other computer running Windows7 Home.

My last effort would move to Outlook from M$, and I really don't want to do that! Can anyone of you offer any help? I'm sorry that I'm not a geek and cannot re - program anything, but I will try very hard to understand what you're saying.

    Thank you in advance.

    Susan

It is between the sender and your Inbox. That's all you can say. Your provider should be able to track your account and see if the message comes from their server.

Thunderbird is a software email client. It runs on your computer and helps you manage your e-mail. It can not download messages that do not in your Inbox on your server vendors.

  • How always show Images in Thunderbird for MacBook Pro

I sent you an e-mail with an article on how to load remote images in your thunderbird. Please see the link below:
    http://www.ashout.com/always-show-images-or-remote-content-in-Thunderbird/
This may work for a PC, but it does not work on my MacBook Pro. The 1st step is to go back to 'Options' and 'Options '. My Thunderbird software (this is the latest Version) does not have the file 'Options '. Can you translate PC instructions to "MACOS" instructions for me to always display images on my incoming emails?

My Thunderbird software (this is the latest Version) doesn't have the 'Options '.

    It's 'Preferences' for Mac OS.

  • Thunderbird on SharedComputer - how do I keep my private TB

I use Thunderbird for my multiple e-mail accounts. It's a desktop computer family that others use. How can I keep my Thunderbird private? Is there something like a master PW I could use to open TB?

Of course, I love TB, but this is a shared computer and I don't want anyone in my family, read my emails.

In addition, us do not separate user accounts with Windows and really don't want to.

Thanks for any help you can give!

We do not use separate user accounts with Windows and really don't want to.

You want privacy but do not want to use separate Windows user accounts. It will not work.

  • How to do a search of Thunderbird * verbatim? *

For example, I want to search the word "walk" in my email address, and Thunderbird shows each e-mail mentioning the month of March. I want to disable this option (of preference, permanently).

Global search is weak in this regard.

I use research that focuses on the older file, via ctrl + shift + f or the QuickFilter.

These are great if you know that you can search for the folder.

If this is not the case, a saved search can be put in place to collect the corresponding messages in a virtual folder.

If you know regular expressions, you can use these in the search and tool the QuickFilter by using these modules to improve research:

  • How to fix Firefox and Thunderbird when MozBackup broke?

    Hello.

We are a small family business. My father, the head of the company, really liked software MozBackup and we use it for a long time now.
About 2 weeks ago, we bought a new PC for our needs, and while I was configuring it to work, I encountered a major problem. I installed Win7 64 bit, all the drivers needed and software, including FireFox, ThunderBird and MozBackup. Everything was going well until we used MozBackup. FireFox is now having trouble with certificates - for example it shows problems with certificates not approved on Mozilla help sites, google etc. Some Web sites are displayed in plain text, in particular the support pages. Also, it does not play youtube videos - they're starting to buffer and then an error pops up. Uninstalling Firefox and deleting the profile manually do not help, when I run it again it stil has these issues. This stopped after you have reinstalled the OS, but I really don't want to do this again. Thunderbird shows that our private mail server's certificate is not approved, it also has problems with displaying certain messages (not reliable too). All other web browsers works fine. We checked today and it also happened on our new ultrabook with Windows 10, but when we updated Firefox and restored the profile with MozBackup on our old laptop - he didn't plant as on other computers. It seems to happen only with freshly installed Firefox and Thunderbird.

Could you help us somehow? Is that caused new versions of these programs? I used FF and TB 38.4.0 42.0/43.0. Maybe you could just give me a solution to restore by default, so she would go as it has just been installed? Then we could migrate to Firefox Sync with our profiles.
We would be very grateful for any help from you.

    See you soon.

You have restored the cert8.db file?

There are security software such as Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET which intercepts secure connections and sends its own certificate.

If you cannot inspect the certificate by "I understand the risks", then try this:

Open the "Add Security Exception" this URL chrome by pasting into the address bar of Firefox and check the certificate:

    • chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.XUL

In the field of location of this window, type or paste the URL of the Web site.

    • retrieve the certificate via the button 'Get certificate '.
    • Click on the "view..." button. "to inspect the certificate in the certificate display

You can check details such as the issuer and the certificate chain in the Details tab of the certificate display.
Check which is the issuer of the certificate.
If necessary, you can attach a screenshot that shows the display of the certificate.

  • Emails sent from thunderbird arrive to spam, very well arrive sent e-mail web host.

I use 1and1 hosting for a provider of e-mail company website and the company. When I send emails to gmail accounts using the 1and1 interface they manage very well, but when I send them using thunderbird they arrive at the level of the junk e-mail folder.

I've confirmed this by sending to several different gmail addresses and company represents several I use in thunderbird. The same as always the case, emails sent to gmail via thunderbird are sent to spam, but those who are sent directly from 1and1 arrive perfectly.

Is there a setting in thunderbird that is causing this problem? I have tried Turing on and outside, anti-spam and antivirus put in mail electronic provider 1and1 but to little effect. Thank you in advance.

When you send via webmail goes directly from 1 & 1 webmail server.
When you send via thunderbird it goes via the smtp server.

It is possible that gmail is down your IP address that sends spam.
Try changing your IP address to test.

The SMTP server associated with the host of your domain, it is possible that the IP of your host (or range of IP addresses) can be on the black list of one or more of the known spam servers, based on other users of the same service.
A search on the web for the blacklist of email server will give you several sites that you can use to determine if your server is on ordinary black lists.

Send via webmail could pass through completely different servers with different IP numbers explaining why these emails are not be marked as spam.

Select e-mail to have it displayed in the messages pane.
Click on "More" and select "view source".
In the headers of messages that have been classified as spam, you can find the header information of spam by the mail scanner which has classified the message as spam, which may help to establish what is mark as spam.

  • I'm running Thunderbird ver15 under Win Vista. Gmail considers ver15 a low security application. How updated to a version that works with Gmail?

This worm is working great for years. Suddenly, Gmail could not accept my sign-in. I have auto day together in Thunderbird, but it won't go past worm 15. Only after that I changed the setting in Gmail to enable low security Gmail applications would allow me in my emails via Thunderbird. I could connect to Gmail via the web very well, but not via Thunderbird. Could this be a problem with Vista?

    Thank you
    Richard

Then I tried to configure server authentication to "OAuth2" method, but this option was not available. in the drop-down list.

"OAuth2" only works for IMAP accounts. For POP "Normal password" is required, either in "allow applications that are less safe" or authentication step 2.

You can set if "OAuth2' for SMTP server outgoing.

When your problem has been fixed can you mark the thread as "solved" Please?
    Thank you.
