Thunderbird does not work, but can not be uninstalled to allow the re-setup
I have recently updated Win10 but now back to win8.1 Thunderbird does not work (the version is 24.5.0) size of the program is 48 MB. I can't access to the program and it does not uninstall using the uninstall feature. Any helpful suggestions would be welcome.
Make a backup of your e-mail using Mozbackup data or simply make a copy of % appdata%\thunderbird\profiles.
Reinstall the Tbird. The last of them is Thunderbird 38.2

I ran the twice successfully system restore, but that did not help. When a window is blocked, hit CTRL-Alt-Del shows an error message "failure of Security Options. I use Vista. Open windows on the desktop were often not well closed for months, but now the computer freezes as soon as I opened the first window. Busy circle is present. Hi people,
My Thunderbird has turned into a pigeon feather-less in the last days.
It does not at all most of the time. If I restart the PC (Windows 7), it will start sometimes.
Even if started, the only way I can see the contents of any folder is to right-click and 'open in a new tab '. Then, I can see the content but can not respond to anything.

Thunderbird does not delete messages!
I tried many Linux e-mail clients. The best is Thunderbird. Of course, it's not flashy out of the box and requires some adjustments to get it as good as the products Ms. But get there eventullay. Thunderbird does not connect with the server
Another recent problem is Thunderbird does not connect with the server. I don't know if sent mail will go out, but I know I'm nothing receive. My internet connection works well for FF or another browser. I checked my settings and they seem OK. I checked the default settings in Win10x64 and they are correct. Any ideas?
Although windows 10 is new for us all. How do solve you. I have other solution with very similar issues.

Thunderbird does not all files except "inbox." and against the info 'aid', there is NO 'account settings' under 'Tools' & I have the latest version of T. I just need to download the SENT MESSAGES, Inbox not only.

Thunderbird does not not with my IMAP server despite download update

It seems that the sync IMAP of Thunderbird (31.1.2) is somewhat in conflict with CalDAV Lightning (3.3.1) synchronization, in my case with ownCloud (5.0.17) server.
Whenever I'm * online * AND the lightning is * activated * Thunderbird freezes.
Seen lightning * disabled *, sync IMAP works just fine as it should - and has done in the past.
Be * off *, lightning and even just CalDAV synchronization to work very well.
It seems to be the combination of the two that makes it ununsable.
I run THAT TLS secure IMAP on port 143 and self-signed HTTPS on port 443, with the same certificate.
I was able to reproduce this on a second housing with a nearly identical configuration.
