Thunderbird is not start nor allow me to remove software

By clicking on the Start logo gives a view of fraction of second dialog box, too fast to read, then nothing. Tried to uninstall for the relocation. The Thunderbird software uninstalled but maintenance software will not uninstall. Recently I downloaded a newer version.

  • Programs to decide to not start nor can I stop.

I use an IBM ThinkCentre 8171 with Windows XP Professional, as my OS. I have frequent problems with programs do not trigger the short time (sometimes immediately) after that I start. After clicking to launch I get the hourglass and then the cursor returns to the arrow shape, but the program does not start. This happens every day I turn on my system for the first time to work. When I try to stop, he won't do it again. Now need me not less than 4 attempts to cut the current through surge protector before I can start the programs I need to run successfully. Even after I am able to run the program with some programs start, possibly to start no more programs or windows shut down. I must once more, turn off the power and then reconnect just to stop correctly.

How can I go on the correction of this frequent occurrence?

  • Mozilla Thunderbird will not start after the blue screen.

There was a program that was supposed to update the drivers but caused a blue screen. I had to go back to a previous point of reset to get Windows 7 running again. Now Thunderbird gives me an error "could not load XPCOM" at startup. What should I do?

I solved the problem as follows:
    1. turn off the antivirus software.
2 delete the program folder in Thunderbird, C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird (Windows 32-bit) or C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Thunderbird (64-bit Windows) by default.
    3. use the browser to download the Thunderbird installer on the Mozilla site.
4 reinstalled Thunderbird by running the installation program.
    5 turn on antivirus software.

  • Firefox does not start, nor can it be uninstalled

After what seems like an update for firefox, the application starts. He made the jump, but then nothing happens.

Also I'm more able to uninstall firefox. By dragging to the trash in the applications folder has no effect.

Well, not sure what broke, but Firefox is working now. Not sure if there was a separate process that is not named Firefox that was running and the origin of the problem or maybe someone else account he had opened and permissions of files were not released after a reboot. Maybe a fix has been pushed through. I do not know

  • Satellite 1800-814 does not start after the installation of the software

    Hello
If I pass on my old Satellite S1800-814, it seems to start correctly: it shows the symbol of "Toshiba", then "Windows XP loading", then the screen goes completely blank, followed by a black screen showing the cursor that I am able to move. The hard drive continues to hum as usual for a few seconds, but then begins to repeat a series of clicking noises, somewhat like a disk that is stuck. The boot process is not still engaged.

Here's the context: I installed my (old) version of Avid Xpress Pro editing software on my Satellite 1800-814. I managed to install a newer version, even if it does not function effectively, where my attempt to install an older version more closely adapted to the processing speed and the size of the RAM 1800-814. I got the usual warning at the end of the installation program of Avid saying that Windows can be affected if I let the installation ends in letting the computer on. But I pressed the option "continue anyway" (as I've done it before without negative effects). The computer off, but he came in as described above. Please tell me what I broke. Can I ever solve this?

    Thanks for your help.
