  I can see why it is important to be able to see your notifications completely when they arrive and I'll be more than happy to help resolve this.

  On your Mac, in the upper left corner, select the Apple logo and select System Preferences. Once here, select Notifications, then you should see listed Facebook. Click on Facebook and then make sure that the alert style is set to "alerts." This should now give you an overview of what talk notification.

  I know that now, if you have facebook messages open and active on another device, that is exactly what will happen.  Make sure you have not a Facebook window open up somewhere with your account, open on another device, etc..

• Facebook Desktop notifications

  Given the previous questions with the same topic with no response says. So I ask you once again.

  El Capitan 10.11.5 OSX

  Mid-2015 15 "MacBook Pro / 2.5 GHz i7 / 512GB / 16 GB of RAM

  I do absolutely no notification from facebook on my desktop. I'm correctly connected to my facebook account on my Internet accounts settings, I have it configured to display banners on Notifications settings, and I can share my account facebook via the Menu successfully share.

  I tried to login using my email address and using my phone number and I tried logging out of facebook, turn off the computer and then press and connect again, but still nothing.

  I get my facebook notifications on my iPhone without a problem, and I receive notifications for all the other apps on my desktop without problem. The problem is limited to just facebook on the desktop.

  Suddenly, the problem appeared about 5 days ago and has not resolved itself since.

  That's all the info I have, I'm grateful for any help.

  Update, notifications are at the rear. Are showing in time with my iphone, but completely empty on the desktop, as seen on the screenshot.

  

  I did nothing else, it happened completely on its own. I suspect it is a problem of distance between facebook and Apple.

  Have recently upgraded via the updater for Facebook v1.8.0.49 appworld

  In the previous version when a notification came through Facebook it would make appear an icon on the home screen of facebook and NOT send an email to the email address on blackberry.

  For example, I have an email address BIS set up on my camera (mobileemail.vodafone.net) and also have the blackberry facebook app messaging service enable (checked) in the facebook app and also the "blackberry Smartphone notifcation" checked in the facebook of PC through iexplorer.

  Before only facebook notifications came as the app or facebook knew it was the same address, since the upgrade I now get both an email to my BIS email account and a notification icon appears.

  I change anything in the options.

  (now tried logging in and out, reticking options, etc, nothing)

  Y at - it a new option, or is this a bug of upgrade. The application of face book has only delete the email and now sends to the device?

  Since typing this my wife with the 8520 just told me that she has the same problem.

  This isn't a major problem as long as at least I'm getting a nowt rather than email and notification.

  I don't have a problem of shared editing post I did on FB and I am running 10.11.5

  or my own post using Safari.
  

  I think to edit shared, you must go through your page, do not to the General timeline.

  Fact is that I've never had this problem on one of the OS X including 10.11.0

  After logging out have done a battery pull reboot! If you don't do it by removing the battery while your unit is powered, wait at least a minimum then reinsert back. It may solve your problem then please try it.
