Cannot create a third partition of BOOTCAMP

Hi guys, I have tried to install a windows 7 with BOOTCAMP for the last few days, but nothing has worked so far, here is a list of the methods I've tried:

-BOOTCAMP->

-Disk Utility: tried to create a new partition of the data partition with all sorts of formats of partition and the results were all "illegal name" and «it should be 59356 instead of 59352 "»

-Also wrote a check for first aid on a data partition and had this error

-Also tried with an OSX bootable usb key

-As well as "hoped" to be able to decrypt a partition bootable Windows 7

I had 3 partitions before when the older OS X, then I merge/delete (can't really remember) TRAINING camp to the data partition. Now my macbook is running on El Capitan.

Other info: Macbook pro 13 "mid-2012. 500 GB HARD DRIVE. El Capitan OS and 1 parallel windows

Would love to hear any suggestions, thanks a lot!

Versions of Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) have a HD Recovery, which does not allow a shared partition. Your Mac doesn't support SL, so HD recovery has been removed manually or a different order of partitions used.

Can you boot into Safe Mode - try safe mode if your Mac does not commissioning - Apple support - and then start normally and test BC Assistant? Please after the release of the following OS X Terminal commands.

    Hello
I have a sandisk extreme pro 128 GB usb and I try to format it to NTFS in windows and it is impossible.
The only way I success for formatting on my MAC but the NTFS partition is not visible in Windows...
Use NTFS or HFS partition without problems, but on Windows the button does not work on my MAC and can...
Does anyone have a solution for me?

PS: I try windows XP, 7 or 8.1 nothing works...
Windows see 2 partitions on my key, but cannot format.

I just fix myself... about here was a good idea LoL

So my problem was when I format the key the first time I use my MAC, and by default the MAC use GUID partition to format the key and on Windows, we should use MBR partition.

Then when I format the USB on my MAC using disk utility, on the score of "variants" tab change when to create an NTFS partition MBR (instead of default GUID) partition

After this, format the key and that's it!

Its working fine now, I'm happy with this beautiful, design USB by Sandisk ;-)

    Hey... !!! r

am using the windows operating system 8. I try to create the disk partition with disk management option, I find no option to do so. It says "connecting to virtual disk service" and no response.  help me how to create readers D E F.

    Hello

You can create the new partition of the available free space. For example, if you have 1 TB in C and suppose that 500 GB is free, you can do a right click on C in disk management and select reduce the Volume. Make sure that you have selected the new volume lower than the space available for free so enter you anything according to your requirement, but be sure that it is less than 500 GB. In seconds, you have new volume, call it as D or whatever you want. Similarly, you can create E, F and so on.
Hope this helps, good luck :)

  • Got erro 'We couldn't create a new partition.' installation Win 8 via bootcamp

I was installing Windows 8 pro via bootcamp on an iMac with the new installation of recovery.

It's my fusion drive before installing windows:

However, I got the following error during the installation of Windows 8 pro via Bootcamp, even though I formatted disk 0 Partition 5 Bootcamp:

We could not create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup logs files.

So I have to quit Setup and go back to Mac OS X and delete the Windows via Bootcamp partition:

Can I ask you why windows cannot be installed on this partition formatted? and how to fix this?

(I just picked up the iMac to a disk fusion problem before installing recently: El Captian is not installed on the part SSD disk fusion after recovery of the internet)

It's frustrating because I installed Windows 8 successfully via Bootcamp when I received the new iMac earlier.

Advice and emergency aid are necessary!

    Thank you!

When you say that you have formatted your Windows partition, you format you through installation of Windows (2nd screenshot)? To this screen that displays all partitions, you have chosen the one you want to install to and then click on Format for the Windows install process can format NTFS?

  • Bootcamp does not start after you have created the new partition

Hi, I accidentally created a new partition on my mac OSX 10.11 and then discovered that my bootcamp would not start. After that, I deleted the partition but the disk for the BOOTCAMP partition identifier was disk0s5 instead of disk0s4. is anyway to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

The disc is now disk0s4, but when I try to boot in bootcamp, it says no bootable disc detected

  • Repair your startup disk Bootcamp disappearing after you create the new partition

. After some research, I found that it was the way forward to create a separate partition, and so I did another partition.

I didn't know it would affect my Windows partition that I thought it was completely different.

So now, when I start it up, there is no option to start with Windows. But when I boot the Mac and select Startup disk, it displays Boot Camp is still there, and all my files etc. are still there.

I tried to create one separate partition (other than Bootcamp). After that its done and I started my computer, I found that the option to boot Windows (Bootcamp startup disk) has disappeared. But I still see boot camp Mac files. Any solution for this? Thank you.

(I tried to find this solution on the discussion Forum, and I found: repair Boot Camp after having created the new partition, however, I'm not able to follow these instructions. any help would be appreciated)

  • Z220 SFF - want to dual boot, but you cannot create an additional primary Partition

I want to install a second operating system, but I have more primary Partitions.  I want to install Win 8.1 Pro; I have an OEM Win7-Pro that came pre-installed on the original HARD drive and then I rebooted on a SSD drive, I used to replace the original HARD drive.

The SSD has three partitions - all of the primaries, and I don't know if I can get rid of a (or merge with an existing one) in order to create the primary partition, I need for the new OS. My understanding is that Windows only allows three primary Partitions.

The 256 GB SSD has the following primary partitions:

    1. System (drive G :) - 2GB in size (NTFS) - I have no idea what it is.)  The disc contains two folders (recovery and Remote Programs - two of them empty) and a file of 1 KB called System.  But when I check the properties of readers, he says it has 376 MB of space used.

2 HP_Tools (l: car) - 105 MB (FAT32) - the interesting thing is that this player does not actually appear in the computer management/Win7 disk management tool.  I see it only when using a third party tool (Partition of AOEMEI).

    3. C: drive -l' remaining space (I actually now it split into another D: drive which is where I want to install the new OS, but since the other three disks are primary partitions D: drive appears as a logical partition).

What are the options I have to configure a dual boot on this drive?

    Thanks for any help.

After much research I could identify that I could safely get rid of the HP System Tools partition and use the resulting Partition of Primay free for the second operating system.

I've not found an option to load the HP tools on a USB key. But I don't use really anyway, so not a great loss.

    Thanks for all the help.

  • Cannot create a partition during the installation of Windows 7

When I want to create a new partition on the unallocated space during the installation of Windows 7 in custom option on that I enter the size of the partition size I wanted and click apply, but nothing happens and cannot install Windows 7, but the same thing can be done by my old Windows XP CD. My computer is Dell Inspirion - 620... When I was clicking on an already partitioned space to install, error message is that there was not much free space in partitioned space was similarly if I formatted the partition of 75 GB and all 75 GB of free space and so on showing the screen.

Try to increase the size of the partition and see what happens.

Windows 7 would probably work on a 75 GB partition, but you will run out of space real fast at that size. A minimum of 120 GB would be better.

Another thing you could try is to simply create a major score for the entire disk, then after you have installed Windows, go to "disk management" and create your other partitions.

Personally, I don't see what good it does to have multiple partitions on the same drive. If the drive fails, all of your partitions went anyway.

  • Two Partitions of BootCamp, cannot start second of two.

I created manually two partitions Bootcamp as each boot fine using BootCamp. The images have already worked as unique BootCamp partitions.

    Windows 8.1 is on/dev/disk4s2, Windows 7 x 64 on ./dev/disk4/s3

When I create an automatic configuration of BootCamp, it built a virtual machine with two partitions of/dev/disk4s2 Startup - Windows 8

I have reproduced the configurations, but created new disks:

    Create the Fusion.app/Contents/Library/vmware-rawdiskCreator applications/VMware\ $ / dev/disk4 3 ide BootCamp7

    Create the Fusion.app/Contents/Library/vmware-rawdiskCreator applications/VMware\ $ / dev/disk4 2 BootCamp8 ide

I then removed the old files vmdk and pt-vmdk beams, added these and edited the VMX to reflect the name change. The discs appear correctly in the GUI.

The configuration of Windows 8 on slice 2 boots fine, but Windows 7 on unit 3 eventually try to boot from the network with a boot disk not found. The BIOS is configured correctly and sees the drive. Settings is configured to boot from the hard drive.

    What Miss me?

    -Harald

Just realized it as legacy boot. Only a SINGLE boot partition 'Active' for Windows by drive.

    It's bee too long...
