Tick mark spacing

I'm trying to figure out how to get the spacing in a chart xy of the graduations. I can't find in the properties. I'll put the max/min for the x / balance there by program and I want to thank scales scale max/min, a past my y max and max x values of data. I do not mean constant + 5 or some because if the main graduations are 100, don't hardly see you any difference where as if they were tick mark in 0.5 increments the graph is too distributed on. Suggestions?

for,

In 2009, ticks can be set with the properties of the increment in the range, as shown. Oder versions have this property?

  • How the control number of the minorticks between two tick marks of the axis?

    Hi guys,.

    I want to draw a number of minor ticks between two graduations of the vertical axis of the column chart based on user input.

    ex: If user provides 2 there are two minor ticks between two tick marks on the axis.

    Thanks in advance.

    From what I can tell with sleeping with her, minorInterval value divides the vertical County to get the appropriate number of ticks between each interval.

    In the example above, I have the interval to 10 and when I put the minorInterval at 2, then I get 5 ticks.  The first tick is the interval and then followed by 4 more ticks.

    In your example, in order for me to see 2 ticks between intervals, then, I must assign the minorInterval 3.5 .

    10 / 3.5 = 3 (2 ticks)

    The forumla should be something like:

    ViewableTicks = interval / (selected ticks + 1);

    So, if I created a drop down list with 1-9 ticks (because 0 does not work if you are showing minor ticks), then when the option is changed, I calculate the value for minor ticks and set the component LinearAxis (countAxis) this new value.

    protected function tickViewList_changeHandler(event:IndexChangeEvent):void
    {
     var tickCount:int = tickViewList.selectedItem;
     var tickView:Number = countAxis.interval / (tickCount + 1);
     countAxis.minorInterval = tickView;
    }

    I created a blog post showing my example.

  • marker spacing (bug?)

    I have a program that is periodically updated with different z scale intensity graph max and min values (which are used to determine the range to a table of colors).  I want the user to have the ability to specify the number of intervals of marker, but I seem to have run into a bit of a bug.  It turns out that "uniform spacing marker" is not indeed uniform if the balance goes into the negative range.  It seems that balance should always increment in what concerns the marker 0, no matter where I specify the range start property to be.

    Here, look at the VI I joined.  I have a scale from - 100 to 100, and I try to divide it into 5 intervals similarly. Ideally, the markers of scale would be just read 100, 60, 20, 20, 60, 100.  Instead, because she chooses to always use 0 as the reference of the increment, it reads 100 80, 40, 0, 40, 80, -100.  Does anyone know of a way around this?

    I have not tested the following theory:

    A scale has 5 properties: Min, Max, increment increment minor Major, Start.

    I think the start will allways be a marker value, so I think that the evolution from the beginning to 'Min' you will get where you want.

  • Chart WPF: How to add a space between the labels and tick marks

    I would like to know how to set a margin between the main graduations and their labels in a chart for WPF.

    Especially in the x-axis labels are placed very close ticks.

    Unfortunately, there are no existing configuration property to add an extra space around the scale labels. I created a task to address them in a future version of Measurement Studio.

    To work around the problem, you can use a string format that includes extra whitespace in the result:

                        Format="{}{0} " />

    If you need a check, you can create a custom label presenter to add extra space for the generated label visual.

  • Back to the indicator of speed and hash/tick marks

    so... I am back! and here's my problem:

    I went during the preliminary discussions, because I simply can't understand why this particular counter hatch not line up correctly.  Here's what I do: (brands of hash on the speedometer equals 11 and there is a gap of 90 degrees at the bottom of the speed indicator, there are 21 small hatch).

    I create the outer circle and then the circle (the inner circle is not actually necessary for the moment).

    on a new layer, I create the great hash mark;

    I select the outer circle and the brand of hash and copy them to another layer

    I turn them: 360-90/11 = 24.55 with 10 copies (see circle top of page)

    Then I copy the original outer circle and the original big hash mark into a new layer and adjust the weight of the race to represent the small hash mark

    then I turn 21-90/360 = 12.86 with 20 copies (see middle circle)

    and you can see my background circle that both sets of hatching don't align properly.  What I am doing wrong?

    unalignedhashmarks.jpg

    Thank you

    Jber

    Jber,

    You must use (360-90) / 10-(360-90) / 20, because one is considered as the number 0, and there are 10/20 intervals, i.e. 270/10 = 27 and 270/20 = 13.5 so two small correspond to a big (intervals). The gap is also much more than 90 degrees (about 114.5 degrees).

    The reason the strange(ness of the) misalignment is the division by 21 (20 + 1) is only half as well off is the division by 11 (10 + 1).

    You have to rotate so that the gap of 90 degrees down of course.

  • Hatch irregularly spaced

    I'm sure that it is a fairly simple solution to this, but I can't see it.  This dial irregularly spaced ICT/sharps and I need to recreate the sharps. They must be in the same position as the original, except that they should look better than the original.  All major brands of hash must have the same width and length, Ditto for the small hash marks.  What I did (and it doesn't) is:

    Draw a circle with no fill and no respect, use scissors to cut each large brand of hash, create a custom brush for the '5' sharps and another for the number '3' signs, but using mixtures.  It works very well if all the hash marks, small and large have the same length, which is not and that's my problem.  If I draw the brands of hash, using the method above, hatching are drawn the outline of the center of the circle, so that when trying to attract smaller, the length is not correct.  Anyone know how to get both small and large hash marks in the orginal position and keep them spaced correctly on the circle?  even if they are spaced so irregular one to the other they must be well positioned on the invisible circle.  I hope I'm making sense.  If I try to select them all, and then individually move one end of the smaller hash (to make the smallest hash) their position around the invisible circle changes and they all start looking weird.

    Here's the original dial:

    water.jpg

    Jber,

    In my opinion, the best way in this case is Custom make. On top of the original as a locked template (created in red or in some other suitable color clearly perceptible both black and white and with some guides checked), you can:

    (1) create three vascular accident brain/nofill circles corresponding to the outer ends of the graduations, and ends of the shorter ends of the longest;

    (2) add the anchor with the anchor Point tool add (supplied with the pen tool) in the center of each tick.

    (3) for each tick mark, with Butt Cap ticked set the weight of the race to the width and the ClickDrag with the tool line Segment since the anchor Point to the center of the circle, then cut the new tick mark with the scissors tool, where it intersects the circle of the relevant inner end and remove the excess part internal (you can create all the more long thick first and then the more narrow courts);

    (4) delete or hide the circles and value all of the white strokes or whatever color desired.

    You can recreate the black background with a simple filled circle and a straight cut down frequency (unless the right cut is just one thing to crop image); You can use the line Segment tool, object > path > divide objects below and remove the excess part background.

    Created in this way, the graduations will really point to the Center.

  • How to calculate the degree of rotation of ticks

    Hello again,

    So with a lot of help I got here, I was able to move all the way to learn how to do my work digitally instead of with an old camera.

    In my last discussion, I learned to make the tick marks with copies and rotation.  Now, my question is, how is the rotation calculated if A) I get the placement right tick brands, especially small ones because there are so many and B) how calculate the degree of rotation so that I have the right amount of space at the bottom of the gauge/dial?

    Here is a picture to show what I'm asking:

    rotation degree.png

    I know how to get the tick big brands and small graduations, if I had to place it evenly around the entire circle, I know how to do this too - but since I'm putting around some of the circle (although always evenly) I'm lost.  I can understand only the space of hit and Miss calculations and that takes too much time.  I also need to know how to rotate the whole thing by obtaining space open as shown below.

    Thanks for your help!

    Well let's say you want a gap of 90 °

    and need for 100 points. then: 360 ° - 90 ° (270) / 100 = 2.7 copies up to 100 angle 2.7

    and need 20 points then it will be 270 / 20 = angle 13.5

  • How to create brands in a vaulted space policy

    I need to recreate this dial and I learned how to create regularly spaced tick marks in a circle, but it is an ellipse.  Here, I tried to draw two ellipse then used scissors to cut down them to size.  Then, I used the online tool and called each of the graduations.  Then I adjusted the weight of each tick.  This isn't a good method, because end ticks have not reached the ends of the ellipse perfectly, leaving a very little bit of graduation outside the ellipse.  There must be a better way to do it. Here's what I ended up with:

    ellipse.jpg

    But that's what I need to create:

    Fuel-pressure.jpg

    (I only need to create the part arched with graduations of this dial)

    Any help is appreciated, but please note that I am familiar with only the basics of illustrator, I simply do not do this kind of work often enough to completely understand the software.

    Thank you!!!

    Jber,

    If you want graduations follow an ellipse and at the same time have a constant width (two different widths), you can:

    Lock 0) image of the dial;

    (1) create the thickest graduation and move a copy to the right, then a mixture of one step.

    (2) create the thinnest scale and move a copy to the right, then a mixture of five steps.

    (3) create two ellipses, corresponding to two arcs, and then create an object and a step mixing > blend > Expand to get an ellipse to Midway;

    (4) with the ellipse to halfway object > path > add Anchor Points a few times (see below), and then copy the ellipse to Midway;

    (5) select the ellipse at halfway original thin mixture and the object > blend > change the meaning;

    (6) select the ellipse to halfway to the copy and the thick mixture and object > blend > change the meaning.

    Now you should have the dial set with thicker scales on top of those thinner on top of all of the elliptical arc.

    If you wish to extend the thick tick marks to the top, you can select this mixture and:

    (7) object > blend > expand.

    (8) to select each of the thick check marks and select low Point of reference in the ((droite à gauche, Centre pour centre, gauche à droite) Transform palette, then multiply the value of H by the desired amount and click Ctrl / Cmd + entry to make them a little more to the top/outside.)

    The object > path > add Anchor Points to 4) is to get an even distribution of the mixture thin tick mark (not necessary because tick thick brand mix because there is only a single step).

  • First HP - RPN Mode - enter an algebraic Expression

    First HP Calculator into RPN mode, is there a way to enter an algebraic expression?  For example, on HP 50 G, you use the check mark button, ' ' ' to start the expression, then continue as algebraic.  Should I just go to the CAs to do this?

    Enter the algebraic expressions on the first HP is done in the same way as on the HP 50 g: just put the tick marks around the expression.  On the first HP, the tick mark is a shifted key: [Shift] [()].

  • Box insert/create in a table

    I am trying to create a report that includes text, tables and pictures.

    Crucial to make this work is to have two check boxes clickable in the table, similar to a number, or insert a tick.

    I try with the help of numbers for the table, but then I would need to merge this table after the text, but before the pictures section.

    (The most recent message that I can find from 2013 and I hope that there was some improvements since then.)

    Although Numbers ' 09 v2.3 and numbers 3.6.1 on El Capitan allow checkboxes in the cells, there is no format support given in Pages ' 09 v4.3 or v5.6.1 Pages check box. A copy/paste of two figures, in their respective version of Pages will produce a table with Boolean words (for example a FAKE, TRUE) that represents the initial state of the checkbox in number. A tick mark selected alternative can be produced in the Pages table cell by pressing option + v keys.

    I found answer myself!

    I created this class:

    Class clNI_CustomFormatString360
    Inherits FormatString
    Private decimals_ As Integer = 0
    Public Sub New (ByVal decimals As Integer)
    MyBase.New (FormatStringMode.Numeric, "G5")
    decimals_ = decimal
    End Sub

    Public Overrides Function FormatDouble(ByVal value As Double) As String
    <>
    value = 360
    End while
    While the value > = 360
    value-= 360
    End while
    Return MyBase.FormatDouble (Math.Round (value, decimals_))
    End Function
    End Class

    And then in my code I attribute:

      myScatterGraph.YAxes (0). MajorDivisions.LabelFormat = New clNI_CustomFormatString360 (1)
