  Flatten makes them your image into one with a background color, regardless of the color is in your color chart 2 in the toolbar (foreground/background).  Merge Visible and merge down is like that... they flatten the image, they just composite whatever you choose.  If you merge down, it takes a top and a bottom.  If you are merge visible to all those with the eyeball of visibility 'on' and composites them.  The main thing is that they don't flatten your image, so if you have layers with transparency transparency is preserved.  Flatten transparency of deletes it.

• Is it possible to merge images of 4 different files into a single image of 4 x 4 with ps scripting?

  I have therefore four files that each contain 970 images.   The pictures in the folder 1 are exactly the same as the images in the folder 2, 3 and 4.   All images are also in size 400px.   What I'm trying to do is to take images of the same name of each of the 4 files and put them into a single image of 800 x 800, then they are arranged in a 4 x 4 mode.

  Example: Each folder has an image named mastiff1.psd.  Images of four mastiff are different, but have the same name and have the same size.  I wish that all the images of four mastiff to be combined into a single image to double size who has all four images mastiff on it and save it as mastiff1 - 4 x 4.

  Is that something this photoshop script could do?  I'm a newb to this.  I used actions much, but never a script.

  For the script, you need to know a programming language JavaScript script that works on both platforms of Photoshop or AppleScript which will be only the Apple Mac machines, VSbasic or that will run only on windows.  You should also know how Photoshop and know how to use Photoshop well.

  There are some things that cannot be scripted to DOM Adobe doesn't have the methods of the interfaces for all of the functionality of Photoshop.  However, there is a plug-in with Adobe name Scriptlistener witch is as a recorder of script that you do in Photoshop that can be recorded in actions is recorded in two papers on the desktop you when the Scriptlistener plugin is installed is in the JavaScript syntax in VSbasic.   As Actions there is no logic just hard coded step, step, step...  The code uses the Operations Manager to do the function of Photoshop.  If the things that cannot be scripted using Adobe DOM can be scripted by using the action handler code produced by the Scriptlistener plug-in and hard-coded steps can be changes in javascript functions that use variables.

  I don't really know javascript, but I can hack it. Did some scripts in the document layout.  Most require a PSD template but PasteImageRoll does not work, but any Image must be in the same folder.  Most of my automated script require any image to be in the same folder.  However, two of my scripts are interactive.  You can select each image available from anywhere.  Images will be automatically resized and positioned to which you can then edit.

  I'm not the best eaten encoder, you can always look at the code I came with.

• How to split a video into images and combine them into a single image?

  Little context:

  A game called Roblox let's make you your own games, publish, advertise and monetize them, etc. all this for free. It does not support videos, so I want to make my own using pictures. I have already tested with images individual, but which is laggy. So I thought, what happens if I make an image with a bunch of images in there and have this image to move on the screen it looks like different images.

  So here's what I want as a result (but with my own video and without white space between each image):

  I use FreeVideoToJPGConverter (software) to convert my videos in jpg files.

  Then, I use Photojoiner.net to convert them into a single image.

• New to Acrobat Pro DC. I can't find the tool flatten to flatten a textbox. Was available in the previous version. Flatten the layers does not work.

  There is no built-in tool that does this in Acrobat. You might had a third party script or a plugin installed and adds this option at the request, like this: UVSAR: tool for selective flattening for Adobe Acrobat 8, 9 and X

  When I group objects to different layers, they all end up in single layer... I have a slight memory of what it is possible to the group object without affecting the layers... maybe a setting?

  I'm not sure what happened, but I got a PSD file, I was working with multiple layers and then I saved a PDF file of the file and I think I may accidentally active files somehow because now my PSD file layers are combined in a background. How to cancel it (somehow liberate all the layers in the file again)? I need to send the PSD file with all its layers available for editing, and I have no idea how to solve this problem.

  Unless you have a copy backup of the PSD layered, you can't. Once flattened and saved, you can never restore flattened layers, they are gone. Sorry... better is to save several copies so in this case in the future you don't suffer that again.

• Adobe Lightroom 2015.2.1 - cannot access the images using the import option "browse the computer."

  I just downloaded and installed Lightroom 2015.2.1. When I click "Import", I gives me a few options to choose from, one of them is "browse the computer." Choose this option by opening the folder that I need, there is no images displayed and the folder appears empty with a title "no element not corresponding to your search. This is true for ALL folders on my computer.

  What's weird, is that if I click on "selecting a folder" at the lower right part of the window, the pictures in this folder will BE imported even though when the folder is opened, they are not displayed. However, I want to select specific images and does not import the entire folder.

  What happens and how can I fix?

  I saw another thread with a few days of a person having the same problem, but without a fix.

  "Browse computer" only shows you the folders.

  Select a folder by clicking with the mouse, click the [Select Folder] button, then the import window will show the files in this folder, where you can select/Disable-preset images.

  The window shows "no found photos" If the folder is empty OR the images were previously imported.

  Hi, I can organize the files in the project with folders Panel, which is very useful when you are working with many elements.   Still looking for a model, but it's a model with 4 views which is useful for positioning elements in 3D space.

  If you lock a view, then you can create a new Viewer and see other views by simply clicking the name of the other computer in the Composition window. You can also enter a tab, any tab and drag this timeline, model or any other Panel to a new location. You grag the pattern to peas to the far left of the tab. There is information on organization of panels and workspace in the help files, and a quick Google search to view this short tutorial by Chris Meyer.

  You want to end up with something akin to this then start by clicking and dragging the tabs autour. You can understand it in a minute. Don't forget to lock the views of the model and ECW.

  

  When you want things back the way they were just go to the workspace and select reset.
