  Sorry for the delay with my post was out and about. However, I found a surprising solution to the situation. My father who is tech savvy thought that we should try to take a look at the alpha ourselves. So we checked the warranty sticker for zero and he wasn't there and we proceeded to disassemble. We took out the hard drive then we went we removed the chassis. We have then the guts and everything that we've done is we wanted to make sure that everything was intact (we didn't send back see how it would be tedious and an inconvenience.). WE DID THAT PLACE ALL IN. REAR AND REMOVE THE STICKS MEMORY I went to plug it back and works perfectly well. Now, I'm typing this from two reboots of the alpha, and it seems to go a lot. I guess we'll have to see what brings the future... in any case, I'll keep the guys/girls updated you and tell you if it's worse here.

  I wonder if I'll just to have to send it back, but I had problems with the Alpha under and turned off for awhile now. Every now and again he just decides not to run away and instead flashing the yellow light on and off.

IMac El Capitan 10.11.3 running with a time capsule airport 1st generation I had for about 3-4 years than the wireless network.   IMHO that's a great way to do things.

  Transport CANADA is much more fragile than a cheap USB portable 2 TB drive.

  I bought this access point to work in autonomous mode and it seems that it is not loaded for this. When I try to download the IOS file to switch to standalone mode, I got an error not allowed as I don't have a service contract.

  How can I use the AP in standalone mode?
