Yet, if I stop vista for an hour or more, when I restart the PC time system strangely transformed in March 11, 12:00. I have reset on the exact time, but if I stopped it, it will change again for another time, say 2 agusts 2013 23:00, and so on.

I if it stops and it reboot after a few minutes, the time is correct.

Comprehensive analysis of MSE can't find anything.

I am confused, can someone help me?

    Thank you

Low battery can keep the date and the time of change of random dates and the times. The information you have provided your motherboard is six years old (and the battery was built before the motherboard), two scanners showed no malware, so I think it's time to replace the battery.

  • My date and time keeps going back to an earlier date and makes dificult to start. my computer.

My current date and time keeps coming back at a date and time that is earlier and I have to stop and restart several times.

According to my experience, this could probably be 1 of 2 things...

The first thing that could cause this problem is an infection.  Have you had a chance to run an antivirus program to scan your system for infections?  You currently have no antivirus installed software / protect your system?

The second thing it could be is a dying CMOS battery.  If you are using a desktop computer, change the battery should be a quick troubleshooting step to see if this solves the problem... If you use a laptop computer, he might need time to disassemble the laptop and replace the battery.

  • My Airport extreme and Time Cap. both lasted 14 months, what happens with that. Time to change brands?

My last two routers in Apple both lasted 14 months more I had an arrival of DAO. Of course, both just went out of warranty. My current A.E. seems must be reset to zero every day even if it is shows that it works, my devices loose their connection. Rebooting solves the problem for a short period. Hard and soft resets it have done and that does not help.  Now, the yellow light flashes and the utility Airport says that it may be overheating. I just it's time to change brands.

Your Apple router is covered by the Applecare, extended warranty on a computer, ipad, or apple TV.

The program is quite generous... you can buy an apple TV now (Gen3 is fine) and buy on what is cheap apple care. It covers all airport bought up to 2 years earlier. So take your defective AE at the apple store... Buy Apple TV and its applecare... do not open the Apple TV... Get your replaced AE... Then, get a refund on your Apple TV. It's a little sneaky, but only if you don't have applecare...

In the European Union or many other countries... There are in your laws of the consumer that Apple must meet the provisions of warranty... And 14 duration of life is not good enough.

There are many problems with the current series of AE and TC.

Constantly wireless of does not... power outages of power.

My first TC was like yours... not quite DOA, but it was defective out of the box and lasted a week total.

Secondly, one was poor wireless. My oldest Gen5 AE and Gen4 TC have been much faster.

Third go was very well. (At least on this point).

If you want something better watch the top selections here. You will find the AE list... a long long way down.

  • HP4530s: HP4530s - time to change the thermal paste

    Hi all

can you please help me to decide if now is the time to change the thermal paste on my processor on laptop HP 4530 s. I have this laptop for almost 5 years now and lately I noticed significant overheting. Of course, the fan is always on. Home, take a look at the screenshot of Speedfan application. As you can see Core 0 (I guess that's the CPU and sometimes reaches more than 60 ° C).

Since the fan was cleaned not so long time ago, I thought I'd give laptop to some experts to disassemble, remove the radiator and change the thermal paste. I've seen many of these videos on you tube.

I have win 7 pro installed on this laptop and is mostly used for surfing the web, MS office and youtube.

    What is your opinion?

    Thank you!

Thank you for your help Hüffer. I also found on many places that these temperatures are almost normal. However, given that the laptop is almost five years I decided nevertheless to change thermal past and for cleaning the air in detail.

Is there not a lot of dust in the fan or heat sink. My firend exchanged thermal paste and after the test, the results are given in the following picture. Core0 temperature never exceeds 50 C. The test is carried out after an hour with the same content to youtube. The lapopt is not really hot on the side left (where are placed HDD and the heatsink) more. I think it was the right thing to do, something like a review.

  • In HKEY_USERS\ Shell folders values. By DEFAULT keeps changing

I have a screen saver application (Google Photo Sideshow) which seems to look at the value AppData Local stored in the registry of the user Shell folders key in defining its cache folder, which is in turn the location of the XML file that tells it where to find pictures. (Sorry, I know that was complicated).  Anyway, I also wanted to set the screen saver to the Windows login screen in the HKEY_USERS\. DEFAULT registry section.

My problem is that the values stored in the Shell folders for it. DEFAULT profile continues to change.  Sometimes they point to C:\Documents and default User\... and sometimes they change to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\... and sometimes the fair white value out completely.

Can someone tell me what controls the values stored in this folder, and why they keep changing?  The user Shell folders paths all remain constant with % USERPROFILE%\...  I searched for this answer for weeks and can't seem to find someone who can tell me why these values change according to what rules they changes, etc...

Any help would be greatly appreciated... :)

  • Why my icons on my desktop keep changing

My favorite site icons keep changing to blue globe just out of the blue.  How can I stop this?

    Thank you for the update.

File Ntuser.dat is normal is displayed on your computer. It's a registry file of the Windows operating system that contains personal files and preferences for each user account. It is not harmful. File Ntuser.dat are invisible, except if you set your settings to show hidden files (which I think we did before). Deleting the file Ntuser.dat will remove also all the account settings and cause the damaged profile.

For more information, kindly check this link.

Regarding your concern to icon, we suggest you to do what we did before that is to clear the cache of the icon. After that, run your computer in a clean boot by disabling startup programs to check if there is any third-party program causing these. Watch it and leave it in the boot for a day to check if she always changes the icons. To run your computer in a clean boot state, please follow the steps in this link.

Let us know how it goes.
