Time settings Internet

I tried the time servers following Internet:
Time.Window.com
Time.nist.gov
NIST. Time.gov
time - nw.nist.gov
time - a.nist.gov
time - b.nist.gov

When I'm in the settings window of time Internet and I click on update now, I get the following error message:

An error occurred while Windows timed with time.nist.gov (or server whicher, I tried to use)

No idea what I am doing wrong?

Hello mdchips,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

I've included a link to an Article on dealing with Windows Vista time Sync problems how
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/dealing-with-Windows-Vista-time-sync-problems/

If your clock is constantly out of sync, even if she says that the synchronization was successful, the problem could be that your computer is losing time due to a problem with the system clock. There is an easy way to synchronize via the command line prompt.

Clock synchronization of command line

Open an administrative mode command prompt (make a right click, run as administrator), and then type the following command:

w32tm/Resync

If that's not enough, please post again and we will continue troubleshooting with you.

Sincerely,

Marilyn

  • Sites Web regularly not approved since refreshing Firefox. I deleted cert8.db; time settings are fine, but still does not work. What should do?

First had error message saying that something prevents update with the Firefox Firefox refresh query. So I did. Result is common Web sites such as google and own sites of mozilla not opening not because "Untrusted connection" - (error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer).
I am working on Mac OS X 10.10.2
Has deleted the cert8.db in folder profile a couple of times, but does not work.
    Time settings are fine.
Removed the whole browser app and reinstalled again; same problem occurring. What is going on? And above all, how can it be fixed?

Ah, you see AVAST there under the issuer of certificate?

Your Avast security software is intercepting your navigation to filter threats. In order to filter connections secure, Avast creates these false certificates and presents them to your browser. Since Firefox uses a certificate from Safari, Firefox should be set up to trust in Avast to generate these certificates.

Now... in theory, Avast is supposed to update Firefox automatically when you go outside and start it again. I guess you left Firefox since this problem started, but, if not, that give a try.

If this does not work, you or a volunteer will have to search the steps to get the Avast signing certificate in Firefox.

Plan C would be to get the old file cert8.db file old data of Firefox on your desktop and it transplanted into your current Firefox profile. You must already have been put in place to work with Avast.

  • Equium L20-198: error 0271 check date and time settings.

My apologies if this appears twice, I tried to change and I somehow lost my thread.

    Hi people.

For awhile, I had problems with my laptop. Toshiba Equium L20-198.

If I unplug the network at any time, when I re - connect and start the computer, I get two warnings.

Date and time settings error 0271 check.

WARNING 0251 system cmos checksum bad default configuration used

About 6 months ago we replaced the CMOS battery, while we struggled to find a brand new ML1220EI2 Nickel hydrogen 3V 14mAh, we had to go for a "used" quality one.

The problem persists and I now also get this message every time that I reboot rather put into hibernation.

Yes, the computer is a little more than 5 years and hit a little, but it is absolutely perfect in all other ways - with one exception - the main battery is completely dead. If the network becomes disconnected, I make you stop in about 3 minutes. :(

Is it possible that the CMOS battery charge the main battery and this is my problem? I did a little research on Google and found a similar question and an answer on a Dell forum where someone has stated that the CMOS takes his food on the main battery. Would this be the case with my Equium and could buy a new battery solve my problem? I obvioiusly don't want to spend £30 + for it will not help, any response would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    > Is it possible that the CMOS battery charge the main battery and this is my problem?
Well, the CMOS battery can be charged with AC adapter but the laptop must be turned on for about 18 to 20 hours.
It s not I known if battery CMOS takes the power of the main battery
Usually the CMOS battery should always charge in work and when the laptop is plugged in
So, theoretically the main battery has no influence on the CMOS battery.

I think it might be a mobo problem, I think this could be a reason for it

By the way; in most cases the CMOS battery is not removable... so I wonder how did you repalce this CMOS battery...

  • How can I change the time settings?

Hello. I had Skype on this laptop for a while and didn't really care about portable time settings are wrong. But today I decided to change to those appropriate (the current settings are a day before) and it destroyed my Skype. It winded windows chat back and I couldn't send anything. Where the question - y at - it an option to correct the time settings AND change Skype history files at the same time, so that they are in conflict? And if there is no option - how can I remedy this?

Skype uses the clock of your computer to talk to tag messages. When the computer's time is not, which is the case with chat messages.

You can delete the entire chat history or try to fix the time stamp of the messages, but it can be a long process requiring 3rd party applications.

When I click on modem settings, Internet xp tells me a modem is installed in vain and to [uninstall my modem drivers, reboot, then install again]. How can I know which? Once ive installed them where can I find install again? Can I install them from Device Manager. I checked the modem drivers in the device manager that they work properly. Just chime in here. But I wonder if you have performed an analysis antivirus on the computer lately? If this isn't the case, I suggest strongly that. I have seen a few cases where like this slcpapple mention it's actually malware. So please what virus scanner and report it here so that we can at least rule out.

  • Question of time server Internet

Is it possible to change the time server for the clock in time.nist.gov XP (does not work) to nist.time.gov (does not work)?

Tried, he doesn't like it (no data? something like that on the third order), so I googled w32tm and further investigation on nist.time.com, I'd get it all first.

Time.nist.gov, which never works for me, exists; It is just terribly busy. This is consistent with the nist.time.gov which * links * to the sites, you can use for synchronization, but is not itself a sync site. Oops. (East time.nist.gov incorporated in XP? (Because if it is rarely accessible that looks like something that might be updated suite.)

First of all, being reminded the possibility one of the google links, I changed the address by doing a find in regedit. It worked, but as I said above, this isn't a useful address.

Once I found out it was the wrong address and found a good one, I discovered by chance I could change the address by selecting the text in the drop-down list that you get when you double click on the clock and select the time tab Internet. I thought it wouldn't work, but it did.

Anyway, thanks a lot for pointing me in a useful direction. I'm guessing that because the address that I gave is not supposed to have given there is no data. But I learned a lot about the departure function that I didn't. Enjoy it!

My date and time settings are set in Egypt and whenever updates of the laptop with microsoft server time, it increases of 1 h.
Recently in Egypt, changes of daylight has been cancelled and I guess that's the cause of the problem!
    Any ideas?

If time was recently cancelled, you can go to your control panel:
    Panel-> data and time-zone (tab) >
and uncheck the "automatically adjust clock for daylight saving time.

Otherwise, you probably need to adjust your zone settings on your computer using Microsoft time zone Editor.

  • How to adjust time settings manually on the endpoints of TC

    Hello

We have endpoints of TC TC7.3.2 running. We have NTP and already set to OFF. We want to set the time manually using the clock buit - in the codec. How can adjust the time manually. On the web interface, I see on the time settings to set the timing of the hours/minutes. Is there a command on the API to do this?

    Appreciate for your help.

    Thank you in advance.

If endpoints using the touchscreen device, you should be able to adjust the settings of the time on the touch screen. Make sure that UserPreferences is set to this setting is available on the touch device and access the setting.

Accessing the web interface Configuration > System Configuration > UserInterface > UserPreferences: on

On the touch screen, browse on settings > administrator > admin settings > Date, time & location

From there you should be able to set the clock manually synchronised.

  • NB100 - settings Internet erased!

    Hello

I hope someone can help me...

I was happily using my netbook in the last 3 months, but when I went there tonight all my internet settings were already missing (I have a modem (Netgear) wireless attached to my desktop PC and I usually connect through this without problem)

I followed the instructions to reset but my netbook keeps trying to pick up an internal modem but cannot?

I followed the advice of "help" and looked in the Device Manager but it tells me to select "ports" and I do not appear to have?

I also tried physician connectivity Toshiba where annoyingly I can see the connection I'm after but still cannot connect to it!

We are with Sky Broadband at the moment and I'm having no problems, be able to connect using my office (and my cell phone)

If anyone can give me some info that would be greatly appreciated

    Emma

    I'm confused.

If you connect to the internet via wireless connection?

If Yes, then why are you trying to get an internal modem?

If you are connected to an ADSL line, you must connect the ADSL Modem to the LAN socket on your laptop.

The LAN plug has its own modem, so you can not plug an ADSL line directly into the laptop.

The internal modem is analog. He has access to remote and cannot be used with ADSL.

Try disabling your security software and connect to the internet. Maybe the software blocking the connection.

Hi, I have Satellite L10-90 with XP Home. The time setting is always bad for about a month. I synced the time and it seems to be fixed. • Time settings airport capsule (1st generation)

I use Longreach wireless (Netspeed) as my ISP. The speeds are way down on what they should be; is that what I can do in the settings to help speed up the line and download speeds. IMac El Capitan 10.11.3 running with a time capsule airport 1st generation I had for about 3-4 years than the wireless network. The long reach system has the built-in modem to the antenna on the roof he and the capsule directly connects not the wall by a power supply.

Connect your iMac by ethernet to the modem directly... you might need access and buy an extra long cable or use another computer, a laptop is great.

Discover what look like your speeds wireless... If it's the same thing, then you nothing doing on the current wireless network will help.

If you get a big improvement... my recommendation is to simply buy a new router... the TC is very old and simple band... and wireless sound could be well below 100% now.

The TC can still be used for the backups connected on the router again.
