Times fonts in Adobe PDF format
Hello editors,
Using the framework 7.1, Windows XP.
I use the Adobe PDF driver in image with the SetPrint utility. My problem is that our Style Guide requires Times fonts and Adobe PDF converts this value to Times New Roman.
My colleaguse use a local postscript printer that sometimes, but I get errors using this (THERE were up to present unable to fix it).
I can convince Adobe PDF to accept the Times font? If not, it seems that 'best practice Frame' (use Adobe PDF) is not compatible with our style guide (use both). And of course, the style guide takes precedence.

I'm not sure that there is a significant difference to the reader between
Times and New Times, but the problem is that your colleagues use
the fonts on the PRINTER not on their computers. The printer unless
manufacturer has provided fonts on a CD to install on the
computer, it is unlikely that these fonts are actually being
incorporated in PDFs of your colleague. And if they are, it is very
unlikely (but possible) that these fonts are licensed for inclusion in
a PDF file - if you are worried about the legality of this, you should
check the actual PDF using Acrobat preflight.
If I were you, I buy a legal copy of time, or just ask the
the guardians of the style guide if new times can be replaced if your
system has no time.

How to convert PDF/A in Adobe PDF format
I have PDF/A files which I need to change (add/remove/rearrange pages). If the file is in PDF/A mode all commands are disabled. Is it possible to convert the file in Adobe PDF format for editing?
Just set the preference is not to use the PDF/A files-> preferences
PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! This preference is set like that in order to ensure that the PDF/A files are processed by Adobe Acrobat/Reader according to the rules of the PDF/A standard. If you change this preference, there is a chance that the PDF file appears quite incorrectly. See http://blogs.adobe.com/pdfitmatters/2010/03/details_matter_conforming_with.html> for more details.
The correct answer to the question is to use "delete/a ' control Information upstream, which will become the PDF/A document to a standard PDF file.

I use Adobe InDesign CC 2015 on Windows 7 and a book with several chapters, each chapter being a separate document. Several attempts to export the book to Adobe PDF failed with the following statement:
"Printing error: Adobe Print Engine failed at the end of your data due to an unknown problem."
When I run the command 'Package book for print', it shows that there are some fonts and missing images. However, as far as I know, I replaced all the missing fonts and I'm unable to see all missing fonts or images on the computer screen. Person documents in the book export to Adobe PDF with no problems, but the book does not print as a whole, affecting the table of contents and the page numbering (e.g. Roman in the front-end vs Hindu-Arabic in the rest of the book). I'm frustrated because InDesign doesn't tell me what the problem is. I'd appreciate any help in this regard.
No, I wasn't trying to PRINT to PDF. I tried to export the book in PDF format in following file > export... and then click on PDF for output. That did not work. However, I just realized that I can export the book by clicking on the small arrow in the upper right corner of the menu that shows all the documents in my book (I don't know how it's called). From there on, I chose "export book to PDF...". "and voila! It worked.

Loss of quality of the fonts - export in PDF format
Sorry for duplication but I searched for a high and low for a solution but have come up empty-handed...
My problem is I'm losing POLICE QUALITY when you export a document in InDesign to PDF. For a quick understanding I am first inserting a screenshot of a piece of my User.ID before export file, then a culture of the same strand of PDF after export. What is the problem with the loss of sharpness of fonts? Help, please? I was pulling out my wallet. Time is of the essence, and a designer may not have exactly improper blurry fonts. ; P
(Btw, based on suggestions from other users to the problem apparently, I confirmed 100% built-in fonts, high resolution/print quality and even tried to switch off the option character "Ligatures".) Any other ideas? I appreciate really him)

Hi Manny,
in principle there is no real problem with your design.
But to avoid the effect you see in the PDF document, follow these steps:
Use no color for the lines:
Before:
After:
How would you do it?
Select the text block, select the small "T" in the swatches Panel for the formatting of the text, switch to strokes if necessary by typing x and choose the outline color "[None]".Uwe

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition and Adobe Acrobar 8.
Whenever I print a document in PDF format, the PDF document is generated correctly.
Unfortunately, it also generates an error entry in the Adobe PDF print queue. At each system restart Windows Live One Care detects errors and ask me to fix.Hello Pino Sannicolo,
Try to check your print to the printer settings. Right-click on the printer, and then click Properties. Click the Advanced tab and then click on "print directly to printer". Dave D

My company (ADTRAN Inc.) bought Adobe export in PDF format in December and it has been downloaded to my computer. I left the company and have to get it loaded to my colleague's computer or given instructions as to how others can use this product.
It is not loaded on a computer at all. It's a subscription service you subscribe, you connect, you can use it. Subscrtions are based on the Adobe ID and not... As far as I know... Transferable.

I have Adobe Pro to print a form in Adobe PDF format?
Hello, I have a scenario where I would like to offer internal employees to fill a form that they can print in PDF format so that it is no longer a form. This would then share the new document with external clients. Internal employees have the opportunity to do it themselves without access to Adobe Pro?
The Adobe PDF printer comes with Adobe Acrobat Standard and Pro.
