TL2000 vs sequential Mode random playback mode

We just bought the TL2000.

In reading through the guide of the user (page 118-119), it defines the mode 'random' and 'sequential mode '. My question is... What is the difference?

I ask because I am unable to discern when one would be used over another.  Here are a few questions that I left with after reading the definitions.

1. If I choose "Sequential Mode" and the loop, it says that it allows backup operations without end without user interaction.  Well, this seems attractive. However, caution indicates that only 1 player will be used.  So, just to clarify, does the 2nd drive would be effectively useless?

2. by reading the questions of different forum on two separate issues, I saw the recommendation to activate sequential mode and activate the shuffle mode.  What are the advantages and disadvantages of using one over the other?

3. in what scenario would be an organization wants to choose Random instead of sequential, or vica versa.

Thank you!

Hello JustTryinToGetItToWork,

The biggest difference in 2 modes, is that when working in sequential mode, it will be in order when entering the slot 1-24 support & will use only 1 disc. Also when running in sequence mode, there may be problems get the robot in the TL2000 to load the media in the drive as & most often, that you end up loading media manually in the drive & eject manually.  Now when you use the Random it media mode is used in any order, but uses blank media first, then will use media that has been written on front. Most of the clients Configuration it TL2000 in Random so that they have full function of both drives & robot.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Limits for random playback in WMP?

I have a large music library, with approximately 14 000 titles recorded in Windows Media Player (WMP).  Is there a limit to how many songs the shuffle play function can handle?

WMP has the ability to remember what has been played so it won't repeat a selection up to what all the songs on the list have played at least once, assuming that he was not arrested and restarted?

What happens if the same title appears on several source disks?   Would each of them considered as unique and distinct songs?

Example: The song "Summertime" has been interpreted by several different artists, and she could also appear on more than one album of an artist given if there is 'original' albums and "greatest hits" albums by a given artist.

The same question in a different form: the same title appears, but by different artists.

In 2 cases, we have seen, would each of these apparitions seen as unique and distinct entries?

WMP has the ability to remember what has been played so it won't repeat a selection up to what all the songs on the list have played at least once, assuming that he was not arrested and restarted?

It doesn't have this ability, because he is not doing it this way.  When you choose to shuffle, playlist any queue is sorted randomly, then playback is started.  If no song could never play twice, until they all play, unless the song was already listed several times in the queue of read (which list was selected before you click 'play', which could be a reading list, or all of the library).

Example: The song "Summertime" has been interpreted by several different artists, and she could also appear on more than one album of an artist given if there is 'original' albums and "greatest hits" albums by a given artist.

Each media file, even if it is identical in all directions (even the same file name) if stored in different folders is something totally different and unique and will be not skipped, simply because another element of the same name was played. Because once again, the order of play is completely determined before reading starts already. It makes random list first, then the parts of the newly classified queue.  There never need to follow what has played, which just to the bottom of the list of queues in order.

  • Sometimes during random playback of music, next song starts from the Middle

This has happened for about 2-3 months now. It is usually a rare event. Maybe its just me, but I feel that slowly becomes more frequent...

In any case what happens is, while I'm listening to my iphone the shuffle, it starts the next song as usual, but sometimes this song will start from the middle. It's weird. It also happens when im jumping songs manually.

    -A.L.

Start with the basic troubleshooting steps.

First, try a simple Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10 to 20 seconds).

If this does not help, you may need to restore your iPhone.

  • stop the random playback of music

The shuffle music stays on and will not turn off.  It is very annoying, because I put my playlists in a particular order of song for good reasons

In the lower left corner of the music app, there is a Shuffle icon. Click on it to prevent it from brewing.

  • Turning off random playback in playlist

HI, how can I turn off the shuffle using playlist feature please

Assuming that, as you say, that your iPad is on the latest version of iOS (i.e. 9.2.1), at the top of the playlist, above the list of songs, there should be a shuffle icon to the toggle. or if you play the songs full screen you must have a lower power of the left icon shuffle

  • iPod Classic supports the versions of the song in shuffle mode

When I'm in shuffle mode, my iPod will play all versions of the song of the same title, and I don't want that to happen.  I don't know why it is dragging on title only. Is there a way to fix this?

Also, what are the steps to mix songs in a playlist?

I don't know why it would play all the songs of the same title, if you play in "shuffle" mode  Who would you play the songs in the order list (random playback is disabled), with the songs in alphabetical order by name of the song.

For random playback of the songs on a playlist, go to the settings on the iPod screen.  There is a setting for Shuffle; Set it to the songs.  Select the playlist on the iPod screen, without going into the playlist.  Press the Play/Pause button.  OR you can go in the playlist and select the first song to be played; the following songs will be mixed.

  • Achievement reading random/random with a custom (blank) microSD (SlotRadio Player)

I apologize in advance for asking a noob for my first post question. I read in some other nets and impossible to find exactly what I was looking for and thought I'd post on the device-specific Board.

I bought an ativa 2 GB microSD card to load some of my own music (would have bought a SanDisk card, but none in the store) and used the adapter to connect it to my computer and drag and drop files directly on the map.

I created 5 test records that on the display of the SlotRadio Player, appear as 7 playlists on a preloaded SlotRadio card (1 000 - song). I can navigate through folders to test using the buttons to the left and to the right of the display screen, and the names of file/songs appear in the same format as the playlists/songs of preloaded maps.

However, then the SlotRadio Player seems to play maps preloaded in random shuffle (my preference as well) and the curls after having exhausted all the titles on any given playlist (to keep the atmosphere going), the player will not play my card microSD personally responsible in this way. He will play in the existing order and go to the following folder on the card after have played all titles in the current folder.

Y at - it no coding I can add to an existing file again on the map to read random/random initiate and loops?

The firmware on my SlotRadio Player is 01.01.13A (not the most common, but I'm not sure if this has anything to do with what I described above).

I use WMP to organize my music and first tried to sync to the microSD with this software, but opted for drag - move after realizing the SlotRadio Player treats each file (artist, Album, etc.) as a "reading list". (The same barrier to reading random/random, I ran using a cheapy 1 GB mp3 player in the past.)

Thanks in advance for taking the time to check this.

    KC

what you see is by design of the player. In reality, there is no shuffle mode this player. When you use slotradio cards it may seem to play in a random order, but it actually isn't. There are 3 different playlists ordained to each playlist on the map the songs don't play in the same order. Unfortunately, you will not be able to play your personal music randomly as the player it self does not support random playback.

  • I can't iTunes to temporarily ignore the checkboxes for playback?

Pretty much what the title says. I uncheck some songs in my main library because I rarely, if ever play and I don't want to have to jump on them when they come to shuffle. However, recently, I wanted to listen to all the songs on a series of albums together, and I have playlist for these albums, but right now a lot of songs are unchecked. I don't want to go through the hassle to check all these songs and then remembering those to uncheck/go through the process of unchecking them when I return to the main song list (it's six albums in total).

It also seems kind of ridiculous create a playlist of the songs just checked in my main library; as I have to update every time that I get more music.

Is it possible to get iTunes to temporarily ignore the boxes for purposes of reading? Or, failing that, a way to assign only a playlist by checking / unchecking the boxes?

I am currently using iTunes 11.0.0.163, for what it's worth.

You can disable the checkboxes in the preferences. This prevents them affecting playback. Otherwise if you drag stuff until then he plays enabled or not. Note You can also set pieces chosen to ignore during random playback.

  • Can someone tell me how to change the random setting when playing iTunes on my iPad Pro?

I am playing iTunes on my iPad Pro and may not know how to change random playback settings.  I see the taskbar shuffle just above the playlist with a shuffle icon.  But touching this icon seems truly random for a different song rather than change the setting.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Hey zip66215,

I understand you want to learn more about the playback controls for the application of the music on your iPad. I can help you with that.

Generally, you will begin to see a list of your music and when you play a song, the mini-Player will appear at the bottom of different tabs of the music app. If you type the mini Player, it will bring to the top of the current playback with all different game controls screen. From there, you can repeat and shuffle settings. Take a look at the screen shots to learn more of what I am referring to the as well as research and the link below.

  • Windows media player rating system / random play

I'm having a problem with my Windows media player and its rating system. After so much time to listen to all my music on random, he started playing some songs more frequently (based on evaluations of random playback) than others. (E.g. you have 100 songs in your music folder. You play all, but randomly. After a day or two of that, along with some songs will be raised by default 3 stars, while that others who have not been chosen at random so far not.) The random function is very fond of top rated music.  I want to know how to disable the rating system. Is there any other option than to go through my entire music collection and give a rating of 5 stars?

Unfortunately, I don't think that it is possible to disable the function of automatic scoring of WMP.

You can, however, create an auto playlist that excludes most recently played songs, by adding a condition to Date played last is previous to the x . Then, you can play this auto playlist instead of all music. For more information, search help WMP AutoPlaylist .

I've seen a lot of posts about random/random playback function, but nothing seems to indicate that this function can be added through a firmware update. It is even possible to add this feature via firmware or we are out of luck because it does not support HW?

  • L80/L81: photo of USB key do not appear in the correct order

    Hello

My parents-in-law have a digital frame (L80/L81 Toshiba) and when they put the key USB in the photos appear not in order. For example the slideshow begins to photo 15 and not 1.

My mother-in-law really want this problem solved :)

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello

I suppose that you have set the slideshow settings on randomly:
You can set how random or sequential.

To set the slide show sequence:
-in main menu, select the photo and press OK to enter the Photo mode
-device select step that you want to access then pres Ok
-Select the sequence of slide show, then press ok
-Select a sequence; sequential or random-> in your sequential case

  • iPod Classic 7th gen Shuffle play Question

A week ago, I was playing random songs on my iPod through shuffle. Today, I used shuffle and the same exact songs to play in the same order of a week ago... The iPod's battery die since then, so it was restarted. I find it weird that this happened. I was just checking to see if anyone has had a similar experience. This is not the first time that I've lived this BTW.

    Thank you.

Under certain conditions, I can cause my iPod repeat a sequence of songs in shuffle mode. For example, if the third or fourth in a sequence random song and I press the "back" button a few times to return to the first song, repeat the sequence.

    Consider this:

random playback of the songs actually means "to randomly choose another song", and yet it is in fact very difficult for the same a real computer to generate a random number because computers operate on a regular and predictable. Even if an iPod is a computer, it is nowhere near as capable as a full specification and I suspect that the mixed songs are actually a hidden playlist (or two), who (s) get updated when the iPod is synced with iTunes. It could explain why some users report seeing the same songs being synced over and over again, even though they have not played against them.

Even if I say 'playlist', it is more likely to be a list of numbers, stored on the iPod that are used to select the next song "at random".

    So this isn't a bug, it's just a limitation of the power of an iPod. Are two things that you can do (well, three actually!);

    1. When you use the iPod, start your random game with a different song. The first song was a 'number' and this number dictates what "random" list is used. Every list is different.
    2. Sync your iPod with iTunes frequently as this will be the time that hidden on the iPod playlists are revised.
    3. Accept the status quo. (Okay, I'm being facetious...)

It is a theory so I may be wrong, or even be shot down in flames (but only by more experienced contributors), but I don't think that this will never change as iPod Classic software is unlikely to be updated now.
