To access the form field values

Hi all

I have a form with several fields. I need to change the value of a field as 'Y' and send the form in the java code.
I used the following
FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();
RichInputText = (RichInputText) fctx.getViewRoot (.findComponent("pt1:r1:Active1")) active1;
If (active1. GetValue(). ToString(). Equals("Y"))
active1. SetValue ("N");
on the other
active1. SetValue("Y");
This changes the value, but if I run "Commit" operation using
bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit").execute ();
its not saving in dB.

My usecase:
By clicking on the button, need to change the value of the indicator (field) and submit the form that has to go to DB.

Please suggest me the right way.

Concerning
Suresh Camille

can you explain your case to use a little?
Your first message, I understand you want to access the value of Active1
You can use this code:

// get the binding container
BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();

// get an ADF attributevalue from the ADF page definitions
AttributeBinding attr = (AttributeBinding)bindings.getControlBinding("test");
//set the val
attr.setInputValue("newval");
//get the val
String val = (String)attr.getInputValue();

your second post, I see that you are editing the text. So I'm a bit confused.

  • Bulk change the form field values?

    Hello

    Throughout our Eloqua installation, we have a couple of forms of adding contacts to our facility without a family name or the company. As a result, we are unable to sync these contacts to Salesforce so that we can make on them. I would like to change these contacts in bulk so that we can give them a name placeholder and company and then push them to Salesforce.

    I have heard that you can bulk edit things by going to settings-> fields and views, and there is an option within the Population of details field, but because we have more than 1000 unique values in these areas (most of our contacts have correctly added data), we can not view the values or change through this screen. What other options are there for safely editing these values on these contacts and then pushing just such contacts to Salesforce?

    Thank you!

    Brian

    Proceed to the step that you want to add and click on the black arrow down. Choose 'add members at this stage. " You will have the possibility to add a contact group at this time.

    F.value = FV

    If AFormAut.Fields.Count = 0 Then
    sMsg = "No there there no field (s) to read this PDF file"
    On the other
    sMsg = "There are" & AFormAut.Fields.Count & "fields in this PDF document.
    End If

    For every FormField in AFormAut.Fields
    FieldName = FormField.Name
    FieldValue = FormField.Value
    ' MsgBox AFormAut.Fields (Fieldname). Value
    sMsg = sMsg & vbLf & "," & Fieldname & "," & AFormAut.Fields (Fieldname). Value & "," & FormField.IsTerminal
    MsgBox SMsg

    Looks like there is no form field.

    Hello.

    I guess that these areas use the option 'allow formatting of the rich text.

    Thus, it is not Properties: aspect which resulted in implementing in the form of text, thetext in the form field"' bar (CTRL-E or CMD-E).

    Uncheck the option 'Allow rich text formatting' to return to this behavior.

  • All the form fields do not paste from one file to another

    I use Adobe Acrobat DC on OS 10.10.3.

    I have a .pdf file containing form fields set up on what I want to use it as a 'model '.

    One machine I can copy the form fields and put in a new .pdf file and it works fine, but on any other machine, I tried it on it is not. On the other machines when I copy the fields of the form about 75 percent of stick them in the new .pdf.

    Is there a setting/preference on what I should check or would be - something else causing this problem?

    Thank you very much for the help.

    Replacing the old pages with the new in Acrobat is the standard way to do what you want. The fields of forms, links, code, bookmarks, comments, page/document, metadata, etc. are preserved.

  • Adjust the text in the form field

    How do you shrink to fit the text in the form field when you fill in a document?

    I use reader XI.

    This document is a form of Government and a protection on it, if it's important.

    It is mainly for the purpose of printing and using the paper document. When you print from the field cut the text and it is impossible to read the entirty of the field.

    Thank you

    Hello jjcola

    You can do that with the Reader. You need Acrobat, please try the free trial http://www.adobe.com/in/products/acrobat.html

  • Forms to fill out and Distribution: to flatten author text but not the form fields

    OK people, first time posting on this forum, but certainly not my first time looking for answers!  I was quite managed with other issues if I think I myself stumped on this one.

    I created the form fillable 'generic' I'm going to use to distribute to various contacts for some upcoming projects that we will participate in.  Because each project will be different, instead of having to create a new form every time, I hope that with my base model form I can enter various information with the type writing tool and somehow to protect this information to be edit/delete while allowing my contacts to enter their information in the form fields.

    I tried to apply the different variants of security features, but the downside of this is that it does not "distribute" my form so that it can be track with Adobe Tracker.  The only way I can successfully distribute this form for the masses and track responses is if all the security settings of the document are disabled.

    I hope that this logic all how I explain it.  Because the information (not the form fields) on the document sent to the changes each week, I was hoping there would be one easier way other than creating a form to complete for each new.  I'm not an expert of Actions, but it would be possible to create an Action that would "flatten" the text of the type writer only?  That would at least prevent third parties to manipulate or remove information that I placed on the document.

    This free tool based on JavaScript for Acrobat is what you need: http://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/

    The typewriter tool creates a type of text box, so that you would select just this box to flatten.

  • StructCount bug when deleting a key of the FORM field

    Help, please.  I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.

    When I try to remove a key from the FORM field, the StructCount to the extent of the FORM remains unchanged, even if the key doesn't seem to be within the scope of the FORM any longer.  This is not the case when I create a struct in the scope of VARIABLES.  I enclose the code I used to test this.

    Is this a bug with ColdFusion?  Is there a fix / patch for this?  I use Coldfusion Enterprise version 8,0,0,176276.

    Unfortunately, I don't think you can avoid it as it seems to be a problem with the underlying FormScope class.  You could wrap your alternative 'counting' code in a cffunction.  Which would keep at least the logic in one place:

  • How to create a script for the calculation of the VO2max using text on a pdf form field values.

    I'm trying to create a script that calculates the VO2max based on user input in several text fields.

    My form is set up so that the user can enter values in the 4 fields of text:

    1 weight = weight in kilograms

    2. age = age in years

    3 time = time to walk 1 mile in decimal

    4. the heart rate (HR) = heart rate recovery immediately after you have finished walking 1 mile

    The VO2max equation that I use is:

    VO2max = 132.853 - (0.1692 * weight)-(0.3877 * Age) + (6,315) - (3.2649 * time)-(0.1565 * HR)

    After the user enters values in 4 text fields, I want the text of VO2max field automatically calculate the above equation and display the result to the user so that the user doesn't have to get all those numbers into a calculator.

    Any suggestions on how to write the script?

    Assuming that your domain names are what you entered in the formula, you can use the simplified field notation:

    132.853 - (0.1692 * weight)-(0.3877 * Age) + (6,315) - (3.2649 * time)-(0.1565 * HR)

    If you want the value to display only after al the data fields are complete you need to use a JavaScript calculation:

    function GetField (cName) {}
    oField var = this.getField (cName);
    if(oField == null) app.alert ("field of error for access to the" cName + "\nPlease verify the name of the field.", 1, 0 ");
    return oField;
    }

    var weight = GetField ("Weight");
    var Age is GetField ("Age");.
    var time = GetField ("Time");
    var h = GetField ("HR");

    Event.Value = "";
    If (Weight.value! = 0 & Age.value! = 0 & Time.value! = 0 & HR.value! = 0) {}
    Event.Value = 132.853 - (0.1692 * Weight.value)-(0.3877 * Age.value) + (6,315) - (3.2649 * Time.value)-(0.1565 * HR.value);
    }

  • Direct access to the form fields in the process?

    HI -.

    I am building an Apex application that has a section of form, I need to generate manually - I need a lot of Javascript custom treatment within this block of fields (generating an arbitrary number of fields based on other user input, update totals the user to change values, etc.). I have no problem to build that portion of the application.

    However, I am now not sure how to access the fields I create in a post submit processes (so I can process/save the data entered). Y at - it has a syntax that I use in the process through a list/collection of all submitted fields, or (b) directly access the value of the field named "xyz"?

    Thank you

    If you mean spit your own tags to entry with htp.p, you can do that in the APEX. You must use the APEX_ITEM package. When you submit the form, you will get an error because the procedure of wwv_flow.accept is not the settings that correspond to the fields in your form.
