to access the old xp disc in vista

Had problem with the old pc from Dell. New HDD inserted using windows vista. I have a station and tried to view the old hard drive (which was operating with windows xp) but cannot access it. Message concerning the formatting of the new drive, but it would be clean which I need to access files. Advice welcome

The program I used was an older version of Data Rescue
As I said it is has worked for me several times recover data from disks of my friend. The new version looks like it can be used as well by the PC for recovery and as a separate rescue CD. I think that the they have offered a trial to show if he could find the files first. But there are other programs as well. The old version of the DR could save an external USB or external drive as long as it is FAT32.

  • To access the old Palm III data

I stopped synchronization to handheld computer about 1 year ago and just continued to use the Office to enter the data. I recently moved into a new Visa Office PC and installed Palm OS that supported my old configuration.  I don't remember exactly how I got my username entered (only know it is used to store in a folder "EJ")... can not know how to load old data. I think it was intentionally made difficult to prevent hackers and thieves--but I've grown attached to my old data (just not my old PC or the old device).  Time to upgrade - but if I can't access the data... Should what incentives I?  If I have to do it again I'll just create a form in Access database.

Finally... Thanks for giving me added by car!  I found this link of Web site... http://www.Palm.Crevier.org/FAQ/

Google search for images RE: path of registry data for palm IV... He mentions 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\Core\Path' and so I put the path C:\Program Files\palmOne\EJ variable and then not wanting to ever be one to lose, I doubled on data records and put a second data EJ under the first as a subfolder folder then it exists under this path and C:\Program Files\palmOne\EJ\EJ.  Launched to him and everything is fine come! didn't know if I had "my I name ' or 'my name i.' as my username but I guess that confirmed (where I is than my other initial).

So I delete a lot of files and watched all the files of data under this path and nothing has changed (last updated the still 31/10/2008)! -did a search for address*.dat down there (at least I'm sort of find some differences in the Vista operating system)... still not found out where the data - but it works!

Next step is laboriously happily and foolishly and I hope I can upgrade the palm devices and software and still not find out where the data is going and how better archive to come have fun!

  • To access the old back base with XP CD

I have a number of CDs that were created by using Windows 2000 to store old Wordperfect BACK files. These files contain text information related to the patented technology. As it happens to be that I was not able to read the CD with Windows XP. The idea is to convert these old files of text BACK into something compatible with today's software.

My question is, "How can I access these files with XP, or do I need to use Windows 2000 to get home?

You should be able to see at least the content of the CD if you their finalized correctly when you burn in Win2k. The problem is finding a program that can read the old format Wordperfect BACK. So please clarify what you mean when you say you can't 'read CD '.

  • How to access the "Local Settings" folder in Vista.

Have an Adware bug stuck to the folder "Temporay Internet" McAfee can't remove it completely. In XP, you could access the local settings folder to manually delete the Temp and Temporary Internet files. I liked to do this because you have been assured that all deleted. But in Vista, all I get is access denied! And this applies to other as well protected system files. Is there a way to change the security settings for this folder?

  • Fresh paint crashes when I try to access the old paint in my Gallery.

    Hello

I like the fresh paint, but when I try to access the ancient paintings from the gallery it crashes.

is there a way I can save my old paintings. where they are saved on the hard drive.

I have a Wacom cintq Companion.

    Thank you

    Steve Roberts.

    Hi Steve,.

Fresh paint automatically saves your current paintings automatically every five minutes, whenever you come back to the homepage offresh paint , and whenever you pass the fresh paint to another program or app. You can also export a table to a PNG file. It is enough to click on theexport button and choose a location to save the painting. I suggest you to consult the following Microsoft community link and check if it helps.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_8-Winapps/fresh-paint-FAQ/552a7366-fbd2-4b19-a4b8-4021453a4835

Usually, the fresh paint paintings are saved in the location "C:\Program Files-Windows App\", it will be hidden. Before you begin the search for the paintings, make sure that you have enabled hidden files in the view bar in Windows Explorer.

I suggest you try the steps in the following article from Microsoft Help to solve problems that you are having with fresh paint application and check if the problem persists.

Drivers HP Vista - final details on the release of drivers for Vista HP

It took some time, but HP finally released information about the drivers for Windows Vista. In summary, if your product is 'old' and a scanner (Scanjet), you can expect the following response:

"We are sorry to inform you that there is no support for Windows Vista available for your HP product. Therefore, your product will not work with Windows Vista. The majority of HP products, not supported in Windows Vista are beyond seven years. If you use the Windows Vista operating system on your computer, please consider upgrading to a new HP product that is supported on Windows Vista. »

Among the products affected by political driver Vista HP include popular ScanJet 3200c ScanJet 3300 and ScanJet 4200 c. HP has promised to release drivers for certain products. However, unless the product is - ish or has been designed with Vista in mind, the number of available functions is likey to be reduced.
