To detect a change in a Variable?

Hi all

I can detect a change in variable (a string of data)?

I do an AS2 SWF (level 7 Player) with navigation of the combobox control.

I have a page name variable that I change from outside the SWF with the Director and Authorware using (I think) FlashVars.

The variable (internally) is set by default when SWF is initialized.

Authorized external variable values are always one of the combobox data field values.

The combobox default variable is not always the index 0 (zero) position. Or the order of the data or the other.

The variable can be modified internally in combobox nav used to independent navigation of the external variable. -It works

When the nav var shared changes of the external source, the ComboBox must change for the variable game data to combobox corresponding. That's what I'm trying to do.

I can change the drop-down list Configuration programmatically (index), but failed to recognize him as a change event. Or tell him by programming

The combobox control can be selected by the data variable, or is the only option to use the index (loop index values to match the variable data field)?

And update the selection combobox (and therefore the nav page) by triggering a change by programming event?

Detect the var itself without the OnEnterFrame turn change is my goal - if it even works in the version I use (flash palyer 7).

Thank you

Jim

You can use watch(). I have not used for some time, so you will need to check the documentation.

  • How to detect any change of a StepType field by sequence?

    Hi all

    Suppose I have this: a simple StepType 'TEST' with one added the custom field 'Source' from the String type.

    When you use the StepType in a sequence and change the value of "Source" (since the Variables Panel).

    the name of the sequence is immediately marked with a ' *'. That is wat we want :-)

    But if I change the value of "Source" code (c#), I see that my "Source" value is changed (in the Variables Panel), but not the sequence has detected this.

    Maybe it's StepType-flag that I have to pay or from code, execution of a trigger or so?

    Thanks in advance?

    I speak for me, but FYI:

    because as I update my sequence of code (c#), I have the current stage as an object and

    so I know if all the fields are changed.

    With the help of this excerpt will mark my sequencefile as "changed":

  • Problem with detection of changes in a loop

    Hey,.

    I have a NOR-9423 module in a cDAQ chassis (not to mention that of other modules), and it is used for the detection of change for a binary input. That's a little busy, coming from an engine step by step via a digital i/o. I want to enqueu a certain task when the busy bit goes from low to high and another task when it goes from high to low.

    The problem is that my VI everything stops and waits for detection, as the error did not go through.

    If I put a - 1 for the timeout, then of course everything block also, since reading that VI waits indefinitely change.

    So basically, all I have to do is detect a change of edge and put an appropriate task in the queue.

    Any help, thanks...

    You must move the "beginning of entry trigger" and the associated logic (enqueue) in a separate loop. This will allow the logic to run its own while you wait for a trigger to start upper.

  • Detection of changes in PCI-6509 missing first data entry

    Hello

    I have two 6509 cards in separate computers, connected to each other. I use six lines, with one channel for each line, to send signals between the two boxes.

    I used the driver NOR-DAQmx 8.0.2 on SUSE Linux, coded in C.

    Starting by examples of digital I/o that I did a card pass in four lines and the other card received the signal, using the detection of change on the falling edge only, with the lines reversed.

    To send a signal it took the value 1 on this line, using digital lines of writing and then set it to 0 using the same function.

    If I send 4 signals, apartment of 100 ms, 1 on each line. The recipient will detect all four edges of falls, but the function of reading digital lines (in the recall of events highlights registed) returns zero for the first detection. I read only one sample of each line. Once that happens all seems fine.

    I read that more than a sample for the first digital reading for function call?

    What I have to do my signal longer, for the moment it comes to 150us? I can do this with an expectation in the code. I can afford it to streatch for about 1 ms, but it's always with this kind of treatment.

    Is there some call the initialization to get the driver to initialize the internal memory or something? (Maybe it's my wrt slow code, but I don't see how, there is almost nothing.)

    Thank you

    I think we arrived at the conclusion that this card cannot detect as close as 450ns interruptions. The API does not quickly that detect enough them between the interruption and the call to read data lines.

    It seems that we should have brought a card counting rather than a map of interruption.

  • Detection of changing DAQmx online PFI (unbuffered)?

    Hello!

    I'm developing a detection of change on a line of digital input to a software event trigger.  I use the PCIe 6321 DAQ board.

    It works well with an IO line buffered (i.e. any line of port0, see extract of code). However, as I need the lines buffered for other tasks, I would use one of the lines, PFI (port 1 or 2).

    Now, if I use for instance port1/line2, I get error-201062: "selected lines do not support buffering operations. Ensure that lines are supported buffering operations are used in the task. If you use the calendar to change detection, the task should be replaced by without buffer to support these lines. »

    So, is there a way to make the detection of change on a line without buffer?

    I have searched the web for help and resources, but did not find anything useful.

    I would be happy to advice or suggestions.

    Best regards

    Sebastian

    No, only non - PFI port 0 lines will support the detection of changes in hardware.  Otherwise, you're stuck with the search on ports software 1 or 2, with a limited time resolution and no guarantee to catch all the changes.

  • Detection of change DAQmx - cancel the event error logging

    I am trying to use DAQmx for detection on some digital lines of changes. I think I installed everything in this article, but I always get error 'Error 1 has occurred to unregister events in the detection of change in Test - Error.vi Unregister'. When I change the structure to register for another event, not involving DAQmx but using the same structure, I get this error.

    I need this implementation on a code that runs for a very long time and according to the above article:

    "Use the Unregister function for events and function to destroy the user events to release the associated events and the reference of user event. LabVIEW unregisters all events and destroyed the existing user automatically events when the top-level VI end of execution. However, to conserve memory resources, National Instruments recommends that you unsubscribe and destroy the user events explicitly, especially in an application that is running for a long period of time. »

    Here are some screenshots of my comic, but also the .vi. Note that the detection of real change does not work well, it's just after I click on 'stop' I get the error generated by the "unregister to events.vi.

    Note When you transfer the .vi, I saw the issues described on this thread and had to change the name of the file...

    crossrulz wrote:

    Delete the task implicitly cancels registration of events.  If you disable the task, rather than simply cancel, the event is already cancelled and you don't need two nodes.

    Or quite simply, the event is part of the job.  no tasks, no event and LabVIEW cleans the records for the non-existent event.  Other events that are not 'owned' by similar of e/s Sessions must use the unregister (as of the events of user)

  • Reinvest a presentation Manager and detect any changes in size

    Hello

    I am trying to create a user interface that mixes elements I draw myself with native widgets and I do this by substituting the painting and drawing to an image in the background before drawing the fields themselves.

    To position the fields, I created my own Manager and position fields in absolute position based on my own component positions. For the base case works very well...

    When I type in a field, it grows, I do not detect this growth so I can not ebb the user interface. How can I detect a change to the default size of the field? I followed the field muddy/Sales status but that doesn't seem to help here is a picture of my test case, white in the middle is a native field and find it me difficult to follow its growth in real time:

    When I start the native UI scroll fields remain in place, I tried calling invalidateLayout, but it throws an exception? How to trigger the IU blackberry to call sublayout again?

    That's what I mean fields are now on top of my drawn text box:

    Thank you

    Shai.

    Yes, I noticed that you implement LWUIT. Two big thumbs up!

    First of all - don't spend just a new Manager (...) as a parameter in your full screen (I hope you meant that when you wrote FullCanvas).  Create a handler that is personalized with its own sublayout() and do the work there. In this way, you will be able to instantiate this Manager custom rather than writing the same code over and over again.

    Second - substitute object it inside the Manager, not the screen.  Not necessary, but once again - for the best control.

    Third - It's weird that sublayout of your Manager is not called automatically, but you can force it anyway:

    // in your MyClass:
    protected void sublayout(int width, int height) {
      layoutDelegate(width, height);
    }

    Have not tested but it should work.  This way, you should be able to rearrange and re - position your fields in the same manager that has all the knowledge, he needs.

    One problem remains, though - how are you going to partially show these fields when they slide to the edge of the screen?  I hope that you can set negative positions for them. Documentation for the manager class specifies all IllegalArgumentException on negative x and y in setPositionChild, so you might be lucky .

  • How to change the constant variable rate?

    Hello

    I export an HDV mpeg file that has a constant rate of a video H264 (.mp4) video for download on a web-based video player. I actually use the preset in Media Encoder 'YouTube HD 720 p 29.97'.

    The web interface of video online that I use requires a constant rate. But when you look at the video in MediaInfo it shows the video file as a variable rate. After looking through the settings in Media Encoder I found no option to fix this.  I see where you can change the frame rate and it is 29.97. So you might think, it would be constant but is not. And there is not any settings, I see, to change the constant variable. I don't see the flow settings, but this isn't the issue.

    I also have Apple Compressor and making a successful rate constant, but if possible I prefer to use Adobe Media Encoder. If anyone knows how to change this setting? Thank you

    Hi CLCTV,

    To close this thread, interpreted as variable rate exports are now interpreted as constant in the CC SOUL 2014 (8,0) and later. Please create a new thread if you are still having trouble with this problem.

    Hey!

    Your syntax to assign values is not correct. Here is a corrected and functional your script version. Note that script will attempt to load the values of existing variables for dialogue.

  • detection of changing text string values

    Hi, I have a text string, the string length is more than 10,000.

    Whenever the value of this string changes, I need to detect and know the index.

    I can loop through the channel and compare if the channel is short. The best ways to do this?

    Thank you.

    Hi IIx,

    The ChnFind expression can only reference global variables of DIAdem.  Then you have to be your "Str2" variable GlobalDim() or simply use one of the existing temporary T1, T2... variable.  Also, you want to refer to all of the channel in the expression, not only one of the values of the string.  The motivation to use ChnFind is so looking through the canal enters the call function and not with primitive VBScript.

    T1 = "Group1/channel 1".
    T2 = 'test '.
    startIndex = 200
    Indexfind = ChnFind ("Ch (T1) T2 =", startIndex ")

  • change the same variable in different loops

    Hi all

    I use an event producer/consumer-controlled architecture where the two loops run processes acting on a common variable.

    To be more precise, I intend to change a flag photo in the loops of consumer and producer. That's why I need to share this variable between the two loops.

    I thought that the best way to do this is to use the indicator of functional photo as part of a Global Variable:
    1 / FGV initialization, which is a cluster that contains the indicator image

    2 / in two loops, the image indicator last value is extracted from the FGV using an action of 'read '.

    3 / the value of the indicator of picture is wired through different processes that would change partially or totally

    4 / Finally, in two loops the photo update flag values are wired as input to the FGV.

    Above is the ideal case, I expected to work. However, this does not work, and is what I've actually implemented:

    (a) in the loop of the producer, the indicator of picture is updated via a shift register, and at the same time, the new value is stored in the FGV

    (b) in the loop of consumption, the indicator of the image is retrieved from the FGV, and its present value is stored in the FGV (as in the ideal case)

    Then I don't why it does not work. I use other FGVs in my VI and which are modified by two loops, but THEY work...

    My VI is really great, so I can't take a picture of him. Can I give you a diet simplified what is my current architecture, whose shot at him. I hope it helps.

    Thank you.

    Florian

    Hi Florian.

    Two FGV reads on the left side of your curls below will be a problem unless you use the data flow to control. The FGV bed (as shown) will occur at the start and then after the structure of each loop ends. When you really want to 'read' when Gets an element from the queue or in the loop of photo - when there are new values.

    The loop of consumption is fairly easy to treat. Just run the Dequeue 'error' error 'in' on your FGV. This will ensure that playback of the FGV happens when you get a new item.

    The photo event loop is a bit tricky. You could send a user of the consumption loop event (after your FGV write) to the photo event loop. In this case the user loop photo, put a reading of the FGV. This ensures that you will get the changes made in the loop of the consumer. The only downside to this approach is that the photo loop always runs once when a change is made in the loop of the consumer. You can use a Boolean value to prevent the image to be written (ensures also the image is always written after the end of the event Structure).

    Here is an example:

  • How to change a global variable in a function?

    Hello

    I want to change a globalvariable in a function, as a first step I made in this way:

    class Global_output_class

    GlobalDim("Correlation_Status,fail_part,End_Exp")
    dim pouet

    Correlation_Status = 12
    Call Correlation()
    pouet = Correlation_Status

    Function Correlation()
      Dim Global_output_class_sub
      Set Global_output_class_sub = new Global_output_class

      Correlation_Status = 1
      fail_part = 2
      End_Exp = 3

      Global_output_class_sub.CorrelationStatus = Correlation_Status
      Global_output_class_sub.failpart = fail_part
      Global_output_class_sub.EndExp = End_Exp
      set Correlation = Global_output_class_sub
    End function

    In this case: correlation_status receives a value of 12, then I go to my correlationn() function where it became 1

    Then he comes out of the Sub-function and takes the previous value of the program (12) (I hate that)

    To solve the problem I did it this way:

    class Global_output_class
    public CorrelationStatus
    public failpart
    public EndExp
    end class

    GlobalDim("Correlation_Status,fail_part,End_Exp")

    Correlation_Status = 12
    Set Global_Output = Correlation()
    Correlation_Status = Global_Output.CorrelationStatus
    fail_part = Global_Output.failpart
    End_Exp = Global_Output.EndExp
    pouet = Correlation_Status

    Function Correlation()
      Dim Global_output_class_sub
      Set Global_output_class_sub = new Global_output_class

      Correlation_Status = 1
      fail_part = 2
      End_Exp = 3

      Global_output_class_sub.CorrelationStatus = Correlation_Status
      Global_output_class_sub.failpart = fail_part
      Global_output_class_sub.EndExp = End_Exp
      set Correlation = Global_output_class_sub
    End function

    This way my global value are copied in themselves after leaving the subprogramme

    I had a lot of variables, is there an easier way for the global variable in a function of change keep the value after you leave the service?

    Thanks for the help,

    Fred

    Hi Fred,.

    It is possible to use a global variable defined, but the best way is to use a function call (or procedure call) with parameters. Please first find the right solution for a function call with parameter and the suboptimal way with a comprehensive valiable:

    dim oParameter
    set oParameter = new cGlobal_output_class

    oParameter.Correlation_Status = 12

    msgbox "Correlation_Status before Call Correlation: " & oParameter.Correlation_Status
    Call Correlation(oParameter)
    msgbox "Correlation_Status after Call Correlation: " & oParameter.Correlation_Status

    '-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Function Correlation(oPara)
      msgbox "Correlation_Status in the FUNCTION before change: " & oPara.Correlation_Status
      oPara.Correlation_Status = 1
      oPara.fail_part = 2
      oPara.End_Exp = 3
      msgbox "Correlation_Status in the FUNCTION after change: " & oPara.Correlation_Status
    End function

    '-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    class cGlobal_output_class
      dim Correlation_Status,fail_part,End_Exp
    end class

    call GlobalDim("oPouet")

    dim oPouet
    set oPouet = new cGlobal_output_class

    oPouet.Correlation_Status = 12

    msgbox "Correlation_Status before Call Correlation: " & oPouet.Correlation_Status
    Call Correlation()
    msgbox "Correlation_Status before Call Correlation: " & oPouet.Correlation_Status

    '-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Function Correlation()
      msgbox "Correlation_Status in the FUNCTION before change: " & oPouet.Correlation_Status
      oPouet.Correlation_Status = 1
      oPouet.fail_part = 2
      oPouet.End_Exp = 3
      msgbox "Correlation_Status in the FUNCTION after change: " & oPouet.Correlation_Status
    End function

    '-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    class cGlobal_output_class
      dim Correlation_Status,fail_part,End_Exp
    end class

    Greetings

  • How to detect the change of focus between applications

    LV2013, Win7

    I have a long operation that so I have to.  Let's call it a "scan".

    I start to a particular folder on the disc and look for files within this framework and in those folders, etc.  I am looking for a particular file (*.lvlibp).  When I find one, I need to open it, look for particular screw it contains and check them for executability (broken) and fix the ConnPane, etc.  I put all the elements of qualifications in a menu (in the menu bar) as the submenus and submenus, etc..

    I do the scan in a separate thread, is not as if I'm blocking anything either, but it takes away CPU time that I would rather not use.

    If I do the scan only once, then the user can go to the Explorer, move a file in place, or rename a folder and come back and I miss the changes.

    Right now, I do whenever the single window happens (the one to which applies the menu).  But this means that round in my application of switching windows causes the scanner again, when there is no chance of a new file that appears.

    I would like to do this scan only when it is necessary, that I define as when I come back from another program (WIndows Explorer for example) this single window in my LabVIEW application.    I am ready to accept the fact that Scripts Windows or remote operations may sneak a file in there.  I don't mean to be bulletproof, just accommodating the more common scenarios.

    I don't want to make a kind of vote - the entire application is event-driven, and I want to keep it like that.

    So, how can I do this?

    If I look at the ACTIVATION VI event, it looks like it happens for ALL VI have activated.  I can attach a name-comparison and detect when the right window is coming forward, but again, simply because this window comes forward does not mean that I need to analyze.

    If I look at the event of ACTIVATION of the APP, it seems to be NEVER called. Even in an EXE file, the event seems never to occur.

    If I had an event to DISABLE the APP, I could set a flag when it happened, and the next time that the right window comes up, I could check the indicator and scan if necessary.

    But I did none of this case.

    Any ideas on how to do this?

    I think what I'll do is just watch the LAST MOD TIME of the parent folder.

    When I do a scan, I hide the LMT of the parent.

    Then, whenever the WINDOW is enabled, I'll check the LMT to the case against my hiding place.

    If it is different, then I scan again.

    Check the LMT takes about 50 uSec on my system, a relatively small price to pay.  And I do it when the window comes up to the top, so I will not notice every little detail of what you do, and I don't have to dig into .NET and assemblies and versions and unnecessary and other error messages.
