  Y at - it replacement tool path for "Image > adjustments > Variations...» "Photoshop cs6 more Standard that brings similar results?  I was used to using Image > adjustments > variations of Photoshop CS4 Standard Standard more often. I've upgraded to Photoshop CS6 additions assayed for the compatibility of architecture memory 64-bit on my Macbook Pro, started in Mountain Lion.  I see now that Photoshop CS6 Addition Standard has the "Image > adjustments > Variations...» "removed toolpath.

  I do not have Photoshop CS6 extended, which has the new Image > adjustments > variations... toolpath.  I only have Photoshop CS6 addition so if someone can share with me a substitution toolset that can give me results similar to the use of the old "Image > adjustments > variants...," I'd appreciate it.

  As far as I know, Variations has been removed from the service standard/extended cs6 photoshop and photoshop cc on the side of mac

  You can use the levels instead of variations.

  Hello again,

  Since my previous Illustrator question you have answered if quickly today, I thought I would post another problem that I have met with HAVE.

  When I use the Warp tool, I get a nice smooth preview (contour) of how I want my form to deform. But I release the brush, it makes almost never as smooth as his prediction. I tried to change the Warp Options (such as detail and simplify) but I always get unexpected results. I am sure that user error, how can I get the results of string to more closely match the look I get when you drag the Warp tool?

  I have an ESXi 5.1 U1 installation with a guest Windows 8.1 vSphere and problems with VMware Tools on this client. VMware Tools is installed, and that client vSphere summary screen says that it is running and the current, but after a certain time (do not know exactly how long, but I guess 20 minutes) VMware Tools stops running, resulting in people not being able to use remote desktop to connect to the host. As soon as I open the console to the guest in vSphere Client and click on the login screen then VMware Tools begin to run again and people can use remote desktop.

  I tried to reinstall the VMware Tools, but that had no effect. Any ideas?

  This sounds like the windows 8.1 client goes in some form of hibernation... you have all power saving / hibernation configured?

• Pencil tool does not meet the parameters

  I use on Mac OSX 10.7.5 CS6. I use a Wacom Intuos Pro. I select all the options I want using the pencil tool, and the result does not reflect the options that I have chosen. Lose my mind!

  Of course, I never heard of the pencil as a customizable tool - not as tool - brush.

  If you want to Stylize your paths with pressure or angles, you can use the Brush tool.

  Perhaps, you have always to use the Brush tool instead of pencil.

  Hello, I'll start by saying that I'm not an expert in photoshop by any means... but I usually managed to get my projects done with a bit of fusion.

  At the moment I'm trying to fade out the last inches of a photograph, so it blends more into circles on which it is placed.

  If I use the gradient tool, the value "in the foreground to Transparent" I get good effect, but instead of fading to transparent, happening in white... what doesn't work when I move the layer over a colored background.

  I have read and watched many tutorials on this, and they say all create a layer mask, then use the gradient... but for some reason whenever I the mask of the selected layer the gradient tool will not work...

  Can anyone give advice? I've been playing with this for hours...

  And ensuring that the blending mode for the gradient tool is set to Normal.

  I just made my first mask.

  I have a layer of the image. It is a solid with a text color.

  I called a rectangle rounded on top it, selected the two and went:

  Edit-> mask-> Group as mask

  The result is the desired mask, but the result now has some transparency.

  Anyone has any idea what I did wrong?

  When you choose Group as mask, make sure that your mask object has a fill white Uni. It will be everything outside of the mask object hide, but show the inside with a full opacity.

  An object hidden existing, you can select the mask in the layers panel, and then adjust the fill color in the properties panel.

  I am a newbie and has successfully done once and decided on a new logo and did the same thing and now it does not work.  I am running vista, created a logo in a Gif file and edited in paint.  Then I open it in PS, use the background Eraser registered for the web, made sure it was even the gif.  ploaded it to my Web site and bam, it shows a white rectangle with a bunch of dots.  I tried with the eyedropper tool, thereby ensuring that the background was transparent color and without success.  I got my site up and running and has decided to do, and now you don't even know that your facility site because I don't have a logo to the top.

  However, I left a page up to see what he does.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am at end of the last week and a half.

  Try this:

  Remember what background you use on your website.

  -Open your GIF image in Photoshop

  -File---> save for Web & devices (this opens the possibility to optimize the files for the web)

  -Top left of new screen click "2up" (shows you the original and a version optimized in a split screen)

  -Top right of new screen scroll to the types of files and Select GIF (others are PNG-8, JPEG, WBMP, PNG-24)

  -Just below the selection GIF, click the arrow of the "Matte" button, it opens a menu, choose your color of original background (if white, blue etc..)

  - Transparency of box (optional)

  -Click Save at the bottom. Select the destination. Fact!

  I hope that answers your question. You will have to do with your png images as I think.

  Note also that you can reduce the size of the image (and quality) in the upper right by reducing the colors.

  P.S. (usually transparent and sRGB are selected)

  I brought a picture of PS in Illustrator and I want to put in AE and use the puppet tool. However, when I bring what it has a white background, but I got everything as the object I'll puppet, so how can I do to?

  AE does not require an image will initially come out by Illy. Just make sure that your image has a transparent background or an alpha channel, if needed, and then save as a psd file. AE take the PSD in images, unless you need a compostion and folder for the psd, created in the project list. You should then be able to use the tool puppet on an image with a transparent background.

• Photoshop 2015 with work plans feature won't crop

  I've upgraded to Photoshop CC 2015, created a new logo, and I can't get the crop tool to work. The artboard, named Artboard1, contains four layers.

  When I select the area around the logo and crop it, nothing happens.

  I also tried to use the adjustment tool to remove all space based on transparent pixels, and nothing happens.

  I tried to return to the settings in use before the update of 2015, but still no luck of cultures.

  Any ideas?

  This is the expected behavior.

  Once you have the installer of the work plans, your image is now using an infinite canvas and as a result, the crop tool does nothing.

• How can I add a gradient to a layer mask to counter a gradual change in the tone of one end of one photo to another?

  I swear I have go nutso.  I have a photo taken with a pretty extreme move of 10mm of a shift lens, which therefore has a gradual darkening towards the top of the photo.  No problem, don't tell me.  I just added a mask layer, click on the gradient tool and drew a line (in a good way) with this tool.  What I received was a transparent area at the black end (of the gradient applied to the mask) ranking to the darkest part of the image showing through to the other end (of the gradient).

  I've done it before and done the above, instinctively, so I thought that I was doing this right.  When it did not work, I tried applying the mask and the gradient to a duplicate background layer, and then flatten the image. Nada.

  Jees.  Something incorrectly? An other than normal blending mode?  I even checked with a CS6 by Martin Evening guide, which seems to be able to do exactly what I wanted without any problem.

  Or... maybe I 'm going nutso :).

  Normal blending mode is correct. Suppose I want to clear up a segment of heaven in image1. Dupe of image and lighten it. It's the Image 2. I exaggerated the relief much here to make it more obvious to you. Please forgive me. Normally the lightning could be more nuanced. The gradient mask attached to the Image 2 starts at the top of the tail of the plane - not the whole image. The result is image 4. Maybe your success is due to the slope not starting and ending in the appropriate box. Note the gradient is black and white.

  I installed CSS/Images improved export stuff, but I can't seem to make it work for the following scenario.

  I have a rectangle rounded with a drop shadow and a header at the top content area Central and bottom footer. This is my layout of the desired target. Very very basic.

  1. I have to draw the rounded rectangle using the antiderivative of r - r and give it a drop shadow.
  2. Cut the top of the page header - assigned as a bkgd image.
  3. Cut a small Center for my dynamic content section and assign it as bkgd is repeat.
  4. Cut the foot of page down, assign as a bkgd image.

  

  1. CSS export.

  

  The resulting HTML code is not what I expect. No matter what I do, in the Middle, repeating the area seems they are assigned as the background for the external div that is generated for the rounded rectangle as you can see here in the capture of the HTML resulting in IE 8.

  

  I follow the blogs on these techniques and this technique "tranche 3" is supposed to be supported and FW is supposed to understand what I'm trying to do, but I can't seem to make it work. Can you shed some light on it, or provide the steps to accomplish this quite simple example? I have attached the files PNG, HTML, and CSS resuting.

  Try to use rounded rectangle and no rectangle tool and also to avoid the background transparent.

• When I select 'Options' I am presented with an empty window; I used FF since its inception, migration from Netscape. I use FF 32.3.

  When I select "Options" in the Tools menu the resulting box is completely empty, I use FF 32.3 on Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit. I prefer the system of menu drop-down.
