  I have Windows 7 Pro x 64 SP1.

  Usually I have the taskbar large icons poster and I never combine the buttons on the taskbar.

  I have 6 icons pinned in the taskbar.

  Three of them (so the other three are OK), started all of a sudden (after years without problems), windows does not display the icon but a generic. Programmes are: Notepad, prompt command and Windows explore.

  If I switch to display small icons in the taskbar, the three icons pinned in question are then displayed correctly but once I return to large icons they become generic.

  Regardless of what size of icon is defined, when I click on one of the three pinned icons that the corresponding program opens properly and the correct icon appears next to the name of the program. When I close the program, the pinned icon: 1) correct (when the value of small icons) or 2) generic windows icon (when the value of large icons).

  I tried a bunch of stuff without success to restore the correct large icons: rebuild the icon cache by deleting the IconCache.db. United Nations-pinning/re-pinning; PIN rather than a shortcut exe files; change the size of icons and affecting the default value; SFC/SCANNOW and similar...

I just did some changed in the regedit file to remove the sign of the arrow on the icons, however, I just forgot these steps.   Hi, what happened about 10 different icons for about 3 months. I don't know what is wrong, because in the folder icon which displays the content, the icon works correctly but once in the folder or the program files exe, or on the desktop, this is what it looks like. • Firefox not displaying only not the icons on web page correctly except in safe mode

  Hello. We develop a website for the moment and I don't have FF in safe mode some of the icons are not displayed correctly. All other browsers work fine and it will display in FF without any problem. The site is www.livingonmars.com and the icons are the 2 arrows in the upper right of the slideshow. When in safe mode, I see two arrows. Boot in normal mode I see the bottom half of the arrow to the left and half the right arrow above.

  In safe mode, modules and hardware acceleration are disabled. You can try disabling you modules one by one to see if that helps, or you can disable hardware acceleration by doing the following:

  Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

  You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

  Then perform the following steps:

  • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
  • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
  • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
  • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

  I'm here to say sorry for the post this problem here because the problem was not never firefox was rather my (opensuse with Gnome 3.8) operating system configuration causing this bad behavior.
  The simple reason was the selection of the language and the region , the configuration of more generic language to Spanish is [Spanish of Spain], but my choice was [Colombian Spanish] this cause bad behavior in firefox. I have change the selection and the problem was solved.

  Your device should have nVIDIA Quadro NVS 110 M graphics card. Google around and try to find the Vista driver for the graphics card.

• How to get the icons to display correctly in the Finder?

  At the time of the "classic" Mac OS, if the icons are not correctly display in the Finder, we could 'rebuild the desktop file' to correct the problem. I've recently updated to Yosemite, and most things work well, but for some reason, most of the files in the Finder .webloc now show as blank icons (but not all; a few show the correct icon). There is no model, I can see: some very old .webloc files now show a white icon (where I know that their icons used to be correct), while the most recent show the icon of correct - although I just created four (by dragging the URL of the Safari, the usual method) which are all empty. Sometimes they appear with the older icon, with the symbol @ (although those who seem to have changed vacuum after running and restart maintenance). Does anyone know how to get the computer to display these icons correctly?

  May be a corrupt .plist.

  Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

  Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist and com.apple.desktop.plist.  Move the .plists on your desktop.

  Relaunch the Finder by restarting the computer and test. If it works fine, delete the plists from the desktop.

  If the same, return the .plists to where you obtained since, by crushing the latest.

• Internal BES12 - app, the app icon is not displayed

  We use BES12 (v.12.5.1) and a few small apps for iOS developed in-house.

  Apps are built with Xcode and can be downloaded on the BES, deployed on devices, and works well, once installed on the devices.

  A question we've seen on every version of BES12 we had installed in our environment is, after that the signed ipa file download UI BES12 internal process can not show the actual application icon. Its always shows an icon of the generic application on the user interface. Is the same for the 'work apps' self-service portal where the user can click on the app and start installing managed for his camera. Once the download is complete, the icon appears as expected.

  Can you tell me what to do in Xcode to let the user BES12 interface (and thus self-service portal) show the correct application icon? Is it a problem in the BES12 itself?

  My apologies, you are right.  In BES12 there is not a way to download the icon separately for an iOS app.  It is also a limitation within the application icons are not displayed on BES12 for iOS apps deployed internally.

• Mozilla site does not display correctly

  I just installed Windows 10 (64 bit) on a new PC and downloaded and installed Firefox. I tried to install some add-ons, but immediately found that the Mozilla Web site did not display correctly: text is displayed, but not graphics.
