Toolbars - specifically in internet explore

I'm having the same problem.  I see the Menu, links and status toolbars only.  I kept these locked for more than 3 years.  Now all of a sudden whenever I open a new browser or a new tab, my links toolbar (which contains links that I use quite regularly throughout the day) are hidden.  I have manually enter and unlock, move, and relock the toolbars.

How can I fix?

Hi Dreamr999,

Run FIX IT in section "the menu bar and the toolbar are missing in Internet Explorer on Windows Vista or Windows XP, or in Windows Explorer on Windows XP' http://support.microsoft.com/kb/962963 which automatically diagnostic and fix the problem.

  • Cannot download Internet explore

For some reason any when I try to load something from the internet, my computer does not accept so he can run a program. (he asks if you want to run or save and run) it is if clicked. Can someone help me with this

    Original title: loading from Internet

    Hi John,.

If I understand correctly, you are unable to download the program on the Internet. Do not worry, we will try to solve this problem.

Please provide us some information to refine the question:

    1. The problem is specific to Internet explore?
    2. What version of Internet explore is installed on your computer?
    3. Did you do last changes made on your computer before the show?
    4. What security program is installed on your computer?

To find the version information in the browser: open Internet Explorer, click on help in the menu bar and then click on to Words in Internet Explorer.

I suggest to Optimize Internet Explorer and check to see if the problem persists.

See the link below on how to optimize Internet Explorer

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936213/fi

Note: The steps of troubleshooting in the link above is applicable for all versions of Internet Explorer.

Warning: Reset the Internet Explorer settings can reset security settings or privacy settings that you have added to the list of Trusted Sites. Reset the Internet Explorer settings can also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the reset Internet Explorer settings.

I hope this helps. If you need help with Windows, let us know and will be happy to help you.

  • a toolbar that I got on internet explore has not imported to firefox, please help

a toolber I had on internet explore has not imported to firefox can someone tell me how get it back please because ive just install firefox today so im not sure what to do, thanks

    This has happened

    Just once or twice

    is today

It depends on which toolbar is. With some you need to install the Firefox version of this toolbar, with others, you may need to reinstall the application that put this toolbar in the web browser, and with others there could not be a version of this available for Firefox toolbar.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but without knowing which toolbar you are talking about it is the best answer I can offer.

  • All of a sudden all the toolbars disappeared. they are still working on internet explore

It just started. I start firefox, and it opens with none of the toolbars. The only way I can close it is to go to Task Manager. I can not access any bookmarks or anything else. I tried to open in safe mode starting with the depresed key space. Also tried to accesses using the ALT key. No luck

It works with internet explorer, but I have no updated bookmarks in memory.

Make sure that you run not Firefox mode full screen (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Ctrl + Shift + F).

If you are in full screen view then hover over with the mouse upward to make the bar appear Navigation and tab bar.

You can click the maximize button in the upper right to leave the mode full screen or empty space of a right-click on a toolbar and use "exit full screen" or press F11.

If the menu bar is hidden, then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the call of menu bar.

Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible: "view > toolbars".

  • No response from the items on the toolbar and above e.g. 'your account' or 'connect' in case of websites like amazon, facebook etc when in Firefox. works in internet explore. What could be the problem?

I have Windows Internet explore and Moxilla Firefox on my computer but prefer Moxilla Firefox was my browser if it worked correctly.

This problem may be caused by the Yahoo! toolbar as scopes as well down and covers the top of the browser window, allowing links in this part of the screen not clickable.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Specific update for Windows on Windows 7 disables the internet connection in Internet Explorer

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. 10/14/2010 my computer installed something around 18 updates to Windows. Immediately after the restart, I couldn't get an internet connection on Internet Explorer. My computer tells me I have 90% Wi - Fi, but I get nothing on Internet Explorer. I restored my computer to until I installed updates, and immediately after the restart of the internet worked well. I decided then to individually install each update of Windows one by one and found a specific update that causes this problem on my computer. It's "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows 7 x 64-based Systems (KB2360131). I am able to install all the updates, only this specific one stop my internet to view Web pages.
On a side note, I have another computer with Vista, and this computer shows no problem after installing all updates. I don't want to change my settings to manually install updates, I love that they install automatically, but that just doesn't work if this particular day keep install and maintain close my internet. Any suggestions as to why it continues to be?
    Thank you!

[I turned first on my new computer on 30 August.] I tried to activate [the 60 days Norton free trial] in the first week or two, so maybe between 7 September - 14 September... not [uninstall before I installed MSE] however.

You must have activated the free trial immediately (i.e., August 30), not a week or two later. In addition, you should have uninstalled Norton free trial AND download / run the Norton Removal Tool BEFORE you installed Microsoft Security Essentials.

I suspect that you see the effects of a hijackware infection. Chances are that your computer is already infected at the time wherever you tried to activate the free trial of Norton. See...

    Hello

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Communities.

    1. have there been recent changes to the computer before the show?

  • Enlarged icons, taskbar, toolbars of Internet explore and the Web page itself

I woke up this morning and all my desktop icons have been twice the size.  My icons in my taskbar are also maximized.  I don't understand how to resize their return to their original size.  Also when I'm on the internet explore all toolbars, bar Favorites and actual web page are maximized.  I have trie goes to the zoom tool, but it is already set to 100 where it has always been.  When I Zoom out to 75, everything is much too small.  Does anyone else have this problem?  My whole computer seems just out of whack, and I don't know why or how this happened.

    4 suggestions...

    1. set DPI:
Right-click on a free space of the desktop > customize > column to the left, adjust the size of police (in PPP) > uac prompt > click default scale (96 DPI).

    2. resolution:
Right-click on a free space of the desktop > personalize > Display Setings > move the slider until you find the correct resolution. Check your user manual, see if she tells you what resolution is for your computer.

Here is a table of the guide line:

    3. do a system restore. Choose the date where your screen is a good size as your restore point.

Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

Note: in case the images that appear on your screen are too large for you to implement the methods above, go in Mode safe and run these suggestions.

Here's how to get safe mode:

Shut down your computer > turn it back on and immediately and repeatedly tab key F8 until you see a black and white screen. The top/down arrow and select Safe Mode

    4. go to your computer manufacturer Web site. Check if your graphics card drivers need to be updated.
