  I have added page numbers to my master pages. They appear on the pages, but I have images on the individual pages which cover the numbers. I understand that I must assign a top layer of the object, but I don't understand how to do it. Please help me? Please explain a just clear as possible, I read the other replies but still do not understand. Wish it was as simple as select object, do a right-click, edit the layer!

  1. open the layers panel (window > layers)

  2. in the control panel menu, choose new layer. In the dialog box, you can name the layer if you like Page numbers.

  3. on your main page, select the text block with the selection tool (black arrow tool) page numbers.

  4. If you now look at the layers panel, you will see a small square right of one of your layers (or 1 layer if you have not created any new layers). Drag instead of the layer of Page numbers. [Explanation: the square is a "proxy" for the selected objects.] [Drag to the other layer moves the objects on this layer.]

• How to expose the layers beneath the top layer

  Only, I 4 days left on my trial and should know basically how to expose and layer transition under the top layer, leaving the top layer intact. I have seen a lot of adobe and Lynda.com videos, but can't seem to find what I need.

  I have recorded a concert of piano and you want to add a vocal part and images during the performance and the end of the performance.  Some of the videos may also contain a piece of music which I can't understand.  I hope that makes sense.

  I'm looking for just a source of help, videos or web pages to guide me.  I do not line-by-line instructions here.

  I'm glad it works for now, but here's a point to consider for the future.  From your description of the project, it would probably easier and faster to do in editing instead of AE application.  AE is an extremely modest editor.

  'lastmc' should be the bottom of the top layer when the score is greater than 30. but it's not working. also if I use addChild (lastmc) . He became top of all layers. so my heroes and enemies all go down. I can not play. but the need lastmc just top of myMovieClipbg background layer.

  Note addChildAt(myMovieClipbg,1); works very well for the second level. it brings the high bottom of the first background.

  THE PROJECT

  I have 3 layers in a CS3 project, in the following order:

  -top Layer (layer semi-transparent Vignet and some additional graphics, all of this is contained in a loaded dynamic mc)

  -Middle Layer (the content that contains the navigation and content. This charge dynamics)

  -Background (it contains a screenfilling background image, and a few graphic alements, all of this is contained in a loaded dynamic mc)

  THE PROBLEM

  The top layer off the dynamic content blocks because its more of it.

  SOLUTION

  Dynamic turn off the layer top, so doent flash use it anymore.

  I want to keep it visible, but not accessible for any mouse action.

  Must be kept below visible dynamic content for interaction.

  I hope I described it quite clear, if someone can give me the solution.

  I did a quick exaample the demo with a layer of something on top of a layer of controls and disable it to interfere with the commands below.  For this example, the lean rectangular area is the layer of Vignet who stands on a button on a layer underneath - I threw it in a background layer too, just to cofuse eyeballs, I guess...  When you click the button, it allows the Vignet layer so that it blocks the button and clicking on it it turns off again... just a variety of liuttle of commands that may be useful to you at some point.

  If you can let me/us know whow you file is different, then perhaps it will be easier to identify a different solution if one is necessary.

• Interactive PDF layers appear behind the text. A script can move them to the top layer?

  I have created a form in InDesign CC (latest version on a Mac under El Capitan). I export the form in PDF format. There are some interactive tooltips (with suggestions on how to fill in each particular field) implemented as buttons. The control keys are static. When I click on the trigger, the bubble appears, when I click on the bubble, it disappears. The problem is that even if the bubbles are set up on the top layer in InDesign, in many cases they appear behind the text layer.

  Is there a script that I can add to each individual bubble that says "when this bubble is active, move it to the top layer?

  This project took over 3 weeks of troubleshooting. In the end I came up with my own results. The answer was "no, it isn't a script."

  With the help of the Adobe customer service, we found that because in the InDesign file, I had the pop-ups on a different layer than the triggers, it was causing a problem of overlap. I found myself by combining the layers into a single, moving pop ups to the elements high on the page in the layers palette.

  Then I exported (interactive) PDF from InDesign and in the PDF file, in edit mode, in the fields Panel, I've selected all the pop-ups and offers them to at the bottom of each page [z-index property]. A lot of manual labor, but in the end, I got most of the results I wanted.

  What version of Premiere Elements and what operating system is involved?

  Can I assume that the stills are on Video 2 video 1 video above?

  If this is the case, place the indicator of the timeline on the still, click on the still image in the editing area monitor to display the bounding box of the image.

  Then use one of the handles of the bounding box to scale the image to fill the monitor space just at the point where the image below is not seen.

  What is your predefined project?

  What are the properties of your source media? And, did you, yourself or the project define the project preset to match the properties of the media source?

  What are the dimensions in pixels of these photos that you import into the project?

  What effect you are trying to create with these stills? Just in case message... the content on the top rail will be visible and content on a lower rail just below it will not be unless there are areas of transparency within the content of the upper track. If there are areas of transparency within the content of the upper track, then the lower content of track appear across these areas. Looks like what happens for you. In addition, Premiere Elements represents transparency as black, not black.

  You have a quick question.

  I am working on a custom map generator and I was wondering if there was any way I could keep a downloaded image editable to the end user. The end user will be able to choose which model they want to frame the picture with. The problem is, even with transparency that chose the framework acts as a layer, and once the uploaded image was placed on the area of transit, end-user lose the ability to change/scale/tilt this image. I want them to still be able to do this even with the model over their image.

  Can anyone think of a solution to this? All tips are greatly appreciated.

  You literally chop each image. To keep things reasonable update you can use Photoshop to slice the graphics, save to the external png to import into. If a picture has 4 edges, you cut out the 4 sides, import into Flash and put back together within a single Sprite or MovieClip. Any area within this sprite who does not object real is real transparency and won't call a click action.

  Don't forget, the hitboxes are rectangular. If you have an oval frame where the edges are asking you to create images with transparency on their edges, which will be clickable. If you don't immediately understand what I mean by this draw randomly just a circle in flash, convert to the clip. Now draw your cursor around what we consider the part 'top' of this frame and note how many inside you also complete capture at the same time. That will all be clickable. So that the user can 'see' their picture behind the frame, but when they click they accidentally get the framework in place.

  If you cut the oval frame into 4 pieces (it's the top of course), the transparent area, you see in the picture will be part of the hitarea for the frame. This can be just as confusing to customers in this situation. If most of your managers have little or no transparency (very square upwards) so it will be not a problem. Just like the problem you are having now, no bitmap transparency will be clickable, even if you cut the sides to the top. The Center where there is no bitmap cannot be clicked through to mess with the photo behind the frame.

  So, this makes it a little more desirable transparency detection.

  Merge Visible (stamp visible) in a new layer at the top of the layers stack so the top most layer is active (targeted) and visible

• MC of adjustment on the top layer

  I have 3 layers in flash on 1 keyframe in the timeline that is just good.

  Have a rotating banner that I bought and it's all scripts that works very well.

  But I want another video clip to be at the top of the rotating banner. It's on the top of the page whithin the range of layers, but when the SWF file is previewd my MC I want on top or underneath.

  How do I action this MC it is on the top layer

  You say that the banner is all scripted, so I assume you mean that it is dynamically added to the film.  You might try to target the banner to add an empty movieclip which is placed manually in the timeline panel to sit under the movieclip you want on top.

  Similarly, you could dynamically load the movieclip after addition of the banner so that it deals with a greater depth.

• Whenever I update on FireFox from the start. I have never "Firefix" icon/button top left which is described in all the GET started video instructions.

  When you browse videos "Get menu started", they point to a firefox icon/button at the top left of the screen. They use this button for a menu to synchronize dropdown using private browsing and so on. It never is. What should I do to put the question on the screen?

  I downloaded AVG more their time 24 Tune up.  Computer is very slow so I uninstalled and installed Microsoft Security Essentials

  The AVG icon is still active in my tasbar. have tried ininstall again, but he won't

  My laptop freezes and I can't "Add or remove programs" to see if its still there.  To the down loaded games taking too long to come and freeze for centuries before change of scene and then stop completely. If I can get the Task Manager to show everyone, there are several screens, but I was also reduced to press the off button - wrong I don't know.

  Can anyone help I get desperate!
