Toshiba a50-106: CPU Upgrade possible?
There is a possibility in the future to upgrade my toshiba a50-106 (celeron 1.5 GHz) up to 1.6 or 2.0 GHz centrino?
Hello
normally you can't move a laptop CPU. A laptop is a complex made up of the machine and maybe you might get problems with the BIOS!
I have never done this with a laptop newest and oldest I change only the damaged with the same processor CPU!
Ultimately I would like to disadvice you because you can damage it use!
Tanya Bye
PS: Why didn't you buy a laptop faster when you bought your A50? ;-)

Is it possible to upgrade processor in this model: L630 14 L? If yes what processors are supported?
Another question - my hdmi port stopped working - is the possible replacement?Hello
With regard to the question on the CPU upgrade:
This question was asked several times here in the forum. I recommend you read the other discussions on upgrading the CPU.Usually, the case is simple: the manufacturers of portable don t support this upgrade for clean products. The CPU is delicate because the new processor must be based on two essential elements: chipset and BIOS.
The laptop supports the Mobile Intel HM55 Express Chipset.
So, you know, what would the CPU supported by the chipset.
But like I said above: the BIOS support is also important and finally everything depends on the BIOS whether your new processor works or not. -
Satellite A200 - CPU Upgrade possible?
Hello
I want to upgrade my CPU.
Currently a T2080 is installed and I would like to install a T7300?Can someone tell me if this is possible with my motherboard?
The mother Board has the following features:
Intel 940GML/943GML (Calistoga-GML) + ICH7-M / U
Portable ID model: Satellite A200-1AS (PSAE0E)Does anyone have a list with all CPU running with this motherboard?
Thanks for help.
Hello
Have you read that some threads here in the forum on the CPU upgrade opportunities?
Do this!Always is it that upgrading the CPU is not easy for example on desktop computers.
The BIOS is always different and modified by the manufacturers of cell phones.
So even if the chipset allows you to upgrade the CPU, there is a question whether BIOS would deal with this new processor. If these upgrades are always risky. The laptop uses the Mobile Intel 943GML Chipset
To check what processors are therefore supported by the chipset:
http://www.Intel.com/assets/PDF/datasheet/309219.PDFHere on page 30, you can find this:
+ All features supported by Mobile Intel 940GML / GM Express Chipset must be supported.
+ Chipset Intel 943GML Express unless otherwise stated below. +_ Support for processor + _
+ Intel® processor A100 and A110 on 90 nm process with 512 KB L2 Cache 400 - MHz +.
+ front side bus (FSB) support +.Then you should check what are the processors supported by Intel 940GML

Is it possible to upgrade the Satellite Pro A10 CPU? What processors are supported?
Hello
Usually the CPU upgrade is not possible on laptops because of several reasons.
But as far as I know that this camera was supplied with three different processors:
Intel Celeron P4 - M (Mobile) 2.0 GHz, 2.2 GHz and 2.4 GHz
Well, I put t know if the CPU was only connected or soldered onto the motherboard. However, it s not advisable to change the CPU. It is possible that after CPU change the laptop overheating for example.

Satellite L755-14Z - CPU upgrade possible?
Hello
Can someone tell me if it is scalable?
If Yes, what socket number is it, can I put an i7 inside?...All links to recommend a site to buy any help appreciated.
Thank you for your time and effort should help you
IanHi mate
I agree with Akuma.
Update CPU is very difficult. The fact is that even if the chipset would support the new processor, it is really hard to tell if the BIOS would be able to manage the new processor. So, in the worst cases, the BIOS will not work with a new game and wouldn't boot the laptop.
But why you want to replace the CPU in L755? This new model of notebook with a good processor.
Even if you want to put a new processor, you will not notice big performance push so I think CPU upgrade is not really necessary in your case.By the way;

Altogether.
Here is a link to the CPU supported by your motherboard and BIOS. which are compatible.
Pay special attention to the type of socket (775) and wattage of the series (only 65 watts cpu) when you buy the processor upgrade.
You can purchase one from a provider either online or in a real store. There are better business online.

New CPU Upgrade possible?
I have a desktop HP Pavilion p6654y 6000 Series. I wanted to upgrade the image to 6 core processor... I understand that AMD Phenom II X 6 Six-Core (core Thuban) 10xxT is what the list says for updates, but I found a 6 processor that I wondered if it would work.
Also, I'm not familiar with (Thuban) but I guess that means part of the Phenom II X 6 family? I've already updated the power supply to a power of 400 watts as well. Which wouldn't be a problem. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me on this!
AMD FX Six - Core FX-6300 3.5 GHz Socket AM3 + FD6300WMHK 95w processor
or
AMD Phenom II x 6 1055 t 2.8 GHz, 6 MB Core Hex Socket AM3 95W TDP E0 HDT55TWFK6DGR
Also, wouldn't be much difference from the quad core, I have now?
Thank you!
The supported only the candidate processors upgrade for your desktop computer motherboard are in the following list.
CPU AMD Phenom II x 6 1055 t 2.8 GHz 6 MB Hex Core Socket AM3 95W you asked about wil work. Can't really say if it will make a difference, if you know do us what is currently installed.
Install any other CPU and supported a messsage of error CPU installed lack of start-up or not taken risks.

Toshiba A50-frequency of 106:FSB Bus and memory problem
Hello
I have a problem with my new Toshiba A50-106. There are Celeron M 1, 5 GHz inside. That all specifications for this processor FSB speed should be 4x100MHz and for my memory bus speed should be 2 x 133, but when I check in SiSoft Sandra 2004 I see 4x187MHz (748 MHz) FSB and the speed of the Bus of Mem 2x249MHz (4 98 MHz). I can't fix it myself, because there is no such option in the BIOS and there is no standard software from Toshiba.
Consequence of this is the problem of the temperature of my cpu. It is on average 54 c in an idle state.
Perhaps you have had the same problem or knows what is in him and you can help me.
What is a temperature average of your Celeron M?Thank you in advance,
MichaelHi michael,.
to your first question, have you run Sandra 2004 in battery mode because in battery mode CPU manages to set the speed of the FSB and memory also bus speed!
So, try once more on AC power mode and let me know the results.
Also, you should check these results with different bechmarking systems because these programs work differently.
@ temperature problem: there is problem o with 54 HP. The home page of intel, said a 125 C is the maximum and then the CPU stops automatically!

Satellite A50: Engraver of DVD & CPU upgrade questions
Hi how far can upgrade my A 50 1.5 ghz centrino and Motherboard can't cos 1.5 dual-core is really not enough for me any more. I know there are a lot of problem on cpu upgrade but I need just to answer far?
I also change my DVD burner to +/-dvd burner, and how I can do it. I also heard that toshiba recalls batery and I saw my model of laptop also on this list.
Hello
Unfortunately, but I don t think that the motherboard will support the new Dual Core CPU.
It is a technology simply different and you should also know that the CPU upgrade on laptops is not very easy as on the desktop PC.
AFAIK the A50 was delivered with different processors and must be compatible with the bus of 400 Mhz Intel Pentium M 1.5/1.6/1.7Ghz and bus of 400 Mhz Intel Celeron M 1.2/1.3/1.4Ghz.Anyway, as far as I know Toshiba doesn't support updates and you will not find any official information about updates and upgrade problems.
I think that the biggest problem could be the highest temperature, BIOS and chipset compatibility. Furthermore it possible to some Toshiba tools such as energy saving does not work and the product overheats. If you want to upgrade or replace the CD/DVD drive, so I recommend that you first contact the service partner Toshiba for devices compatible and taken in charge.
This is important because not all readers are supported by the BIOS.
Portable players are set to master/slave or C - salt that is why it is very important that you will buy a drive to right. Drive with bad settings is not recognized by the BIOS, and there is no chance to change the master/slave or c - salt settings! Now something of the battery:
Well, I read on the page Toshiba that only some laptops which were manufactured between March and May 2006 are affected.
I recommend to check this site Web from Toshiba of the FAQ for more details:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=FAQ_BATTERY_ENI hope I could help
Good bye

Qosmio G40 - 10Z - possible CPU upgrade?
What processor can I put my Qosmio G40 - 10Z? I couldn't find a list and the motherboard is a "motherboard Toshiba" without a template or similar.
I would like to change to a better processor, a quadcore would be well, is - it possible? My Windows 7 tells me to change the battery, but the battery is ok. Google says its due to Windows and could be solved by the BIOS updated. I have the newest
Official home page. There is no latest BIOS available?Thank you
Robert
Hello
I doubt that the CPU upgrade would be possible. You should read this article:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htmThis error message is it exactly that you get Windows 7? Normally you get only a low battery notification, you need to Exchange or connect the power supply.

Satellite Pro L450D - 12 X - CPU upgrade
Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L450D - 12 X and I was wondering which processors 'Dual Core' support this laptop for a CPU upgrade?
Have a read of other peoples threads, it is possible for the laptop to have an upgrade, but I'm not sure of what those who actually support. The most common dual core would be the dual core 'Stalk' However, there are many processors that go under the name "stalk".
I was also wondering if all Toshiba L450Ds have the same motherboard etc... because they contain the same case and (mostly) graphics card
Thank you very much
I assume that you have already read this Toshiba doesn't support CPU upgrade and a public document on processors compatible doesn t exist.
You can just hope that someone has an identical identical machine with the hardware platform and can offer some info on these updates. For best performance, you can start with the RAM upgrade. Have you upgraded RAM to max level?

I'm thinkink of upgrading my CPU TOSHIBA QOSMIO X 300 - and searching the net I found that this is the most powerful processor can I upgrade to [Intel® Core 2 Extreme Processor QX9300
(Cache de 12 Mo, 2,53 GHz, BUS frontal à 1 066 MHz,)]so before you buy it I decided to ask here if someone did, and if it is really compatible
My current setting
Type of processor Mobile DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo P8600, 2400 MHz
Bus Type Intel AGTL +.
CHIPSET: Intel Cantiga PM45
Intel Montevina PlatformHello
Updates are not officially supported
But you can read here on the forum about updates and in many cases, the CPU upgrade was possibleAlways is there to check the compatibility of the chipset
If the chipset would be compatible with the new processor, you've got a good chance to get it runningThe question is: would the BIOS supports the new processor?
Answer is not easy because there is no information on the supported processors. Here are the details of Intel on the chipset:
http://Ark.Intel.com/products/chipsets/35515Under compatible products, you can find the processors supported
It looks like the Intel® Core 2 Extreme Processor QX9300 (2.53 GHz, front side bus at 1066 MHz, 12 MB Cache) is supported by the chipset
