Toshiba L 40, 6353 - no subtitles on reading USB

Hello

My 40L 6353 does not display external subtitles to mp4 and mkv to USB files. I've heard it does not load the subtitles with avi but I can't say that all of my files are mkv and mp4. They are in the same folder with the same name .srt

Please help, I'm something wrong or is there no work around or do I need support for the new update of the firmware of spam :(

My old samsung LCD can read all formats of subtitles with each video container but a cant tv led chip? :(((

Different people mentioned that the subtitle SRTseems to work with MKV format and AVI files but not MP4.

Subtitles should be stored in the srt file (srt is perhaps the most fundamental of all formats of subtitles) and this file must be placed in the same directory (folder) as the film.

The srt file also supports the UTF-8 format.
Select UTF-8 standard, text editor such as Notepad ++.
You must choose the character set and I also choose the option convert to UTF - 8.

Of course there are the file formats of different subtitles as idx/sub, idx/rar, smi, ssa, srt, sub.
Then you can try all of these formats, where a format is not supported.

I have toshiba L 40, 6353 and strange problem with toshiba and my cable box.
On my previous LCD, I had no such problem.

If I turn off my TV or change to another source of entry for longer then 5-10 minutes and return to the HDMI from my cable box I get the message "no signal". I have to turn my stb or unplug hdmi and taken back to return to picture.

The decoder is not a problem because on the other TV it works fine.
I can always change the channel on that (display on the stb itself) but my toshiba led displays no signal.
I have my PC connected to an hdmi port and do not have this problem

    So far I have tried:
to connect my cable box to each of 4 ports HDMI and the same issue.
to disable the power management feature everything related to extinguish. Even 'turn if no signal' for each port individually.

    any ideas?

I have Toshiba 40 TV but the other model. I use STB too and two other HDMI ports for Blu - Ray player and my laptop.
Everything works OK and I'm happy that I don't have this problem HDMI on my TV.

It is unclear to me that there is something you can change in the settings. Have you tried to test the functionality of HDMI ports by using another high-quality HDMI cable or other external devices such as a DVD or Blu - Ray player?

It will be interesting to know if problem occurs with the use of your decoder only.

    Hi Nate53,

    ·         You have the latest drivers installed for the computer?

    ·         Have you tried to connect the player to different ports on the same computer?

Check to see if the following is useful.

Method 1: Try to reinstall the USB controllers and check if it helps.

    a. click the Start button and then right click on my computer. Click on properties.

    b. click on the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. Expand the Bus USB controllers section by clicking on the sign «+»

    c. each of the devices under the USB controller section uninstall by right-clicking on each one, then click on uninstall.

    d. close Device Manager, and then restart your computer. Windows XP re - automatically installs the USB controllers in your computer, so you don't have to do anything further. Your computer is now running properly USB devices.

Method 2: Log on to the manufacturer's Web site and update the latest chipset drivers and other updates to the device driver.

  • Toshiba 55L7453DG is not displaying subtitles

    Hello world

I'm new here and recently bought a new TV L7. I have a problem loading subtitles with some movies that I have on a usb key. Specifically, I noticed that if the film is MP4 then the TV displays the. SRT subs at all. However if the movie is MKV, then everything works fine. If someone has experienced this problem and if so, have you found a solution? I am quite surprised to see that a quality tv 2013-2014 will not identify no subs.

I hope that someone will help and thanks in advance for any response.

    Hello

Several people on this forum have reported on this issue. Obviously mp4 format is not supported.

  • Drive HARD TOSHIBA CANVIO 3.0 does not work with USB 3.0 ports

    Hello

I bought an external TOSHIBA HARD USB3 CANVIO 3.0 disc MORE.
I and laptop computer from other manufacturers that support USB3. When I connect the USB2 HARD drive it works and I can copy or paste my files but when I connect the HARD drive to the port USB3 that it doesn't work and my laptop cannot detect HDD with USB3.

I've updated my driver USB3, once again, but when I connect it to USB3 just turn on the blue light and nothing more.

Please tell me what can I do to solve my problem?

This link is my HARD drive type and model: http://storage.toshiba.eu/cms/en/hdd/external_drives/

    Thank you

Have you tried to contact support for laptop and ask whether something should be activated or changed for this port USB3.0? Maybe some BIOS settings.

If possible, try to check the functionality of some other USB3.0 available PC/laptop.

As much as I know there not something special that will help you. It is Plug & Play device.

  • Toshiba STOR. E ALU2 2.5 HDD USB 2.0 not working

    Hello.

I bought a Toshiba external hard drive, and the problem is that when I connect the disk to the PC, it recognizes, but do not open any window in the computer, and do not show the hard drive.

If I go to "Devices and printers" I can see my HDD - '' store' HARD drive, but when I connect him show me anything in "My Computer".

I use WIndows 7, I already check the other cables and is the same.

    Thanks for the attention.

    Hello

Have you tried different USB ports?
Usually a Virtual CD software is available on the HARD disk.
If you connect the portable computer HARD drive, a virtual disk should appear in MY computer.
Click on this disc should open the HARD disk.

You can also try to remove / delete virtual CD / score available on this USB HDD and it could test again.

  • Toshiba 32W2333 - how to use "User" preset mode USB Media Player

    Hello

    I recently bought a Toshiba 32W2333.
I am satisfied with the quality, but can not get a correct picture in USB drive mode.

The 'Quick' button does not work in this mode, but I can choose the picture preset menu.
the main problem is that each preset gives me oversatured colors and black and white differences...

The "Movie" mode looks great, but it's much too dark!
I would use my "User" custom mode to render similar but brighter, but I can't select it in USB mode...

The version of the installed package is 1.05.09 (MP), November 6, 2013, and I've yet to find it on the site Web of Toshiba...
It was installed by default, and I tried to reset the settings of the TV, withotu success.

So, is it possible to use preset in the drive Media USB "user"?
Or is there a way to custom, the 'film' preset directly (without saving it as a 'User' mode')?

Or maybe what Toshiba should do a firmware update to be able to select in Media Player?
(it seems that it is not the only relevant model)

    Thank you.

Recommend checking the [user manual Toshiba W2333. | http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/W2333-32-English.pdf]

On page 45, you will find all the details about USB movie playback mode

Press MENU and by selecting the picture mode will provide options to improve the quality of the image.
I guess that other parameters are not available while watching films of USB support.

  • CARD READER USB FOR DESKTOP HP PAVILION 500 - C60?

I have a new 500 - C60 HP Pavilion desktop computer, but the front card reader does not accept the largest flash Compact Flash (CF) card.  I have an old USB multi-card with four different card slots, which accepts the card see  Would this setting work satisfactorly?

    Thank you

    shamrock838

    Hello @shamrock838,

I understand that your desktop HP Pavilion 500 - c60 PC does not support the biggest Compact Flash Memory Card and you are curious as to whether or not you can install an USB multicard Reader which accepts the memory card see First of all, you have reason 7 - in1 media card reader did it installed does not supported CF memory card, but it supports the following cards:

    • Digital safe™ (SD)
    • Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC)
    • SDXC
    • Memory Stick
    • Memory Stick Select
    • Memory Stick PRO
    • Memory Stick MagicGate

I don't see why you can't connect the 4 - in1 USB multicard reader you have. Until the operating system detects and installs, you should be fine.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
