It seems to be an unknown device in my printers/device program that I can't uninstall and appears to remote controlled... How can I remove it?

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 and have problems with an unknown device in printers/gear access to all my data and files including emails, applications, etc..  When I disable/uninstall this device by every way I can think it reinstalls itself...

Hi caroleenie,

1. What is the brand and model of the computer number?

It seems that your computer may be affected by the virus and it can control everything on your computer.

I suggest to download Microsoft Safety scanner and scan your computer for viruses and check how it works.

You can download Microsoft Safety scanner from the following link.

Solved my problem.  I checked the button of the IPv6 protocol in the properties of a network connection on the laptop, and now I can see it's the IP address and the unknown device has been replaced by a switch and hub which is part of the router.   I do not uncheck the button IPV4.  I'm guessing that it is a bug in Windows 7 that you need to cut of ipV6 Protocol when you have a Win XP computer on the network if you want to see a map of own network.  As I said before, everything worked before, so this seems to be a cosmetic fix only.  I see that my shared files on the XP computer appear faster after a reboot.

  • Satellite Pro L670 - 18F PSK3FE Webcam works become "unknown device".

The * webcam * on my * Satellite Pro L670 - 18F PSK3FE * who is running * Windows 7 64 - Bit * a well worked until this week. My notifications bar started to say * "unknown USB device" * and when when I went to use the webcam it no longer worked.

When I disabled the webcam in the BIOS the notification has stopped, but when I turned it on the notification came back again to the top. The unknown device is clearly the webcam.

I updated my BIOS and tried the system restore.

I also downloaded the driver for the webcam of http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK and have tried running that - + but it NEVER seems to complete the installation. + I have will continue to try to reload the driver and see if that helps, but from now on, I do not think that the pilot will help.

If it is just a driver problem, someone could suggest how to get the driver to install really :-(

I am now at a loss. I'm not sure what to do now. Suggestions?... + Please! +

    Hello

Unknown device means that the driver is not installed.
I think that the installation of the webcam driver should fix it.

As face recognition also use the webcam, I recommend you to uninstall this tool as well as the older version of the software of the webcam.
Both (or just face recognition) should appear in Control Panel-> software

Now download both applications to the driver page.
Start with the installation of the webcam driver:
    (1) unpack the webcam driver package

    (2) the TC30049700N.exe may also be decompressed (right click-> extract here)

    (3) now you should see different files exe, dll, and others attempt to run setup.exe to start the installation. If this does not work, go to Device Manager, mark (webcam) unknown USB device and install the driver pointing to the folder that contains the files of webcam driver. The system should automatically recover dll files.

    (4) restart the laptop and follow with face recognition software.

    Good luck

  • Satellite U500-115 - unknown devices after the Installation of Win XP

    Hello

I just installed Windows XP on a Satellite U500 - 115 (PSU5EE) and cannot get rid of several unknown devices in Device Manager.

Before to install the operating system, I changed settings AHCI in the BIOS to Compatibility-Mode (IDE), so I don't need to inject the SATA driver during installation.

    These are the unknown devices:

    ACPI\PNP0C32\1 (location: Intel ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919)

    ACPI\PNP0C32\2 (location: Intel ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919)

    ACPI\PNP0C32\3 (location: Intel ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919)

    ACPI\PNP0C32\4 (location: Intel ICH9M LPC Interface Controller - 2919)

    ACPI\TOS6205\2 & DABA3FF & 0 (location: System compatible ACPI Microsoft)

Of course, I installed driver chipset and graphics driver from the toshiba download page, but the unknown devices are still there! Can you please tell me what kind of driver I need to install ACPI devices - and get rid of these unknown devices?

    Thanks in advance,
    Hans

    Hello

In my opinion the unknown devices belongs to the SATA interface controller and these appear as unknown device because you have installed the XP compatible mode.

Try to install the Intel Storage Manager driver.

ACPI\TOS6205 device can be a Bluetooth device.
You must install the battery Bluetooth to get rid of unknown device.

    welcome them

Running XP - PRO. Do a clean install of Windows-7-PRO-32 Bit.

Thanks to this forum, I have everything except a problem solved.

In Device Manager, I have another unknown device of devices (1).

I ran the unknown devices program UKD & he grew up this info...

    Hardware ID - SMCF010

    Category (class) - other devices.

Help, any ideas or suggestions would be very appreciated.

    Thank you... ........ Chuck

I hope it's on the good card...

    Hi, Chuck:

    Be connected to the internet.

Go to Device Manager and right click on the device of SMCF010 who need drivers.

    Click on update driver driver.

Select the method of automatic update and the update of Windows should find the infrared driver, download and install it.

You also have a graphics driver issue...

This is to install the graphics...

Download and run the following driver.  You will probably get an error not supported operating system.

    Conclusion of any windows error.

Go to Device Manager. Click to expand the category graphics cards. Click on the VGA Standard card.

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software, and then navigate to the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install this way.

Once you reboot, you should have decent graphics, but not Aero as the graphics card Intel in this model is not completely windows 7 capable.

  • T420s Windows 8 Unknown device

I installed Windows 8 x 64 recently and installed all the drivers. I was pretty sure that all devices have been installed.

I had a problem of power management of hardware before installing Windows 8 I was hoping was a software problem that reinstalling the OS would be in trouble. Turns out was not software, he had the main Board replaced under warranty. Even after the replacement of the main map, I was still enough course that I have seen that all device drivers have been installed in the Device Manager.

But today, I notice an "unknown device" listed that does not have a driver installed. I often know it can be the TPM module or any other system device, but I have the TPM installed the chipset software driver and management authority. But there's always that unknown device.

The only clue I have, as to what might be the device is under details, the "Hardware ID" property value is "root\sscbfs_storlib_bus3". A Google search brings nothing to this string. 'STORLIB' shows like it has something to do with storage, but I have the Intel RST driver (11,7 Intel) as well as to install the card reader driver. I can confirm that the card reader works fine too.

What else could be this unknown device?

I never understand what it is. But I uninstalled (not sure how you can uninstall it when it is not already installed) and it showed no upward again.
