Toshiba NHM84 DLP TV 44 - can't turn it on

I have a Toshiba 44 nhm84 DLP tv. It is about 4 years old.

Within weeks of buying TV It would not turn. After the power on, the green light on the TV flashing for about 40 seconds and then the red light would go showing the TV was gone.
I got the TV and received a brand new. Two months, watching the new one the same thing began to happen only a few times it will turn on, sometimes it wouldn't. This continued for a few weeks and then all of a sudden the TV worked fine...

Well now it lights up at all. Green flashing for 40 seconds and then the TV red light does not illuminate. The warranty is up.

Someone at - it no no what the problem with this TV? I can solve this problem? What should I do?

    Hello

If you want to use BT on your device, you must switch the WLAN switch on IT. When the diode is on using FN + F8 key combination to activate BT. After that the BT module is successfully activated. All hardware from BT will be included also in the Device Manager.

After that you must establish the connection between the laptop and your cell phone. To start this review please help Toshiba and under the connection tab, you will find the BT settings shortcut that allows you to make a quick and easy connection to your external device of BT.

Start Settings BT Click on new connection and follow the Connection Wizard. How use the phone as a remote control is unknown to me.

I used BT with my cell phone several times as modem and data transfers. Using small headphones BT is also easy to configure.

Then it started running very slowly.
I close all the way down, open Task Manager and the CPU was operating at 80%-100% permanently.

Nothing was open. I even checked in the process and nothing showed only a high utilization.
Connect any device or running programs. I even uninstalled AVG.

Don't you think that the RAM is fried?

    IM open to suggestions. Please

    Hello

It could be possible that your RAM is faulty.
But in your case, it could be any part of the equipment malfunctioning.
However, the RAM module is the first part that should be checked.
You could take it off and could check how the laptop would do with a single module.

The best case would be that the use of new, goo tested memory modules live.
But this is only my personal opinion

  • Portege Z930: Loss of Fn keys after upgrade to win 8 - can't turn WiFi switch

After several months waiting for my hour I just began my Portege Z930 - 11G for Windows 8 Pro upgrade.

To a large extent, it went to the plan except that, after execution to display the Assistant Toshiba Upgrade I lost the Fn key and about half of the keys no longer seem to work at all.

The only key I've ever used on a routine basis is the Fn + F8 option to activate the power switch WiFi.

So now, I can not turn on WiFi on the computer.

It must, surely, that there be a way to do it, but I'm not. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm OK for now because I have a local cable system in the House, but once I get out on the road I will fight without WiFi.

Before running the wizard upgrade of the Fn key grew up the key appear in the upper part of the screen and I want to surely I had turned on WiFi right here.

The Fn key utility offers very little control of the Fn keys. It does not offer the possibility to do anything else than to disable five notifications screen for keyboard backlighting, power plan, touch pad and cursor overlay digital overlay.

    Any help gratefully received.

    > So now I can not turn on WiFi on the computer.
First of all, you can enable and disable the WiFi using the function key, but you can also activate the WLan settings of Windows 8
    Key Win + C-> settings-> change PC settings-> wireless

Now, you can use the cursor to wireless devices to enable or disable the WiFi network.

But to get the FN button work you need to install the + Toshiba function key + Utility for win 8 and + Toshiba system driver + to win 8

    Hello

The webcam can be used with programs like Skype communication where you can make a video call. Of course, there are other messengers or programs they use the webcam.

But you must install the software/driver webcam that you can use. This software can be downloaded from the official website of Toshiba (Camera Assistant Software):

After I installed Windows 7 (32 bit), I can't turn on the S-VHS output (TV).

    Any solution?

    Hi Longhorn_1,

First of all, you should check if the display driver is installed correctly. This means that in Device Manager it should t be any yellow exclamation point.
New drivers, you can download from the official page of Toshiba.

In addition, you use output S-video if you press the FN + F5 key combination.
Generally you must connect the S-video cable first, before turning on TV/laptop. After that turn on your TV and select the S-video port and then turn on the laptop. FN + F5 key combination to switch between monitors.

WiFi = works correctly, but cannot be disabled, except disabled it the windows Device Manager
Bluetooth = works correctly and can be disabled, but it will be swicth on automatically in 2-3 seconds after it turns off

I have tried many solution, I had the netbook bios update, reinstall the driver but still no luck
    can anyone here help me

    Hello

It's really, really strange, I mean the BT and the Wlan can be turned on and off using the Fn + F8 key combination. He s strange that it does not work.

To my knowledge the Fn buttons are controlled by VAP (value added package) and the Support of additional Flash memory card utility BT stack and Wlan driver must be installed.
    I would recommend following:

-Uninstall the driver Wlan and BT stack
-Uninstall the VAP and utility of Flash card support
-Install CCLeaner and clean the registry (CCleaner is a free tool)
-You must restart the computer after each step.
    - Then reinstall the driver Wlan and BT
-Restart and install VAP and Flash cards
-Restart the unit and check if BT and Wlan can be enabled and disabled.

NOTE: Fn + F8 should be pressed several times disabled these functions.

  • Satellite L30-101 - it can not turn on

    Hello

I had a Toshiba L30-101 given to me for my birthday in 2006, he initially had Windows Vista on it so because of problems with this program.
I was later forced to get rid of this program and to install Windows XP, and I have not had a problem since.

However, last night, I forgot to bring my laptop, normally I do not panic as it happens in sleep mode, and yet when I lift the cover (when I do this windows XP starts and allows me to reconnect my phone) I have met with a black screen, nothing has been loading, nothing has changed, I was faced with a black screen.
I pressed the standby key and nothing happened, nothing happened even when I hold the button for a bit longer.

I disconnected the battery, and although 2 green lights showed that I should be connected on the right, I was always with a black screen. I left him a little and he's always like now, only 2 green lights went and it seems that there is no life be it current. I can not turn on,
I tried to reboot and nothing has changed.

I don't know what to do as this has never happened before. I might add that, even if I changed the program for XP I didn't no problems with it for 2 years and a half, until now.

Could someone help me at all?

    Hello

Have you tried to remove the battery and the AC adapter? Remove the two, wait an hour and try again.

If it doesn t work I think that there is something wrong with the motherboard. Maybe it needs to be replaced or another part.
Therefore, you can contact the nearest ASP and ask for help.

    Good luck!

    Welcome them

  • Qosmio X 505-870-can't turn off and nothing on the monitor

I wasn't doing anything particularly interesting when my computer just turns off randomly. I pressed the power button to turn it back on, I can hear the fan and things of the machine but nothing appears on the monitor. I pressed on and maintained the power button to turn it off and try again, it does not turn off. He is stuck with the computer on but a blank screen.

Don't know what to do, I can't turn off, and he's not doing anything.
Could try to put the recovery disks to see if it's nothing, but I'm worried about the files I have saved on the desktop (stupidly)

    Hi colhyena,

I agree with Akuma. The same instructions posted by Akuma I found here:
[What steps must be followed if your Toshiba laptop does not start? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=21]

So that s what you can do and if it s does not you need professional help of an authorized service provider.

Qosmio X 505 is newer model laptop so probably yours is still under warranty. In this case, the repair is free and you don t have to pay anything. :)

  • Re: Can't turn off wireless on my Satellite L500-21dts

I have problem with wireless that is I can t turn off. I have windows 7 and I installed the drivers on the site for this series but can t always turns off Wireless using FN + F8.
My computer laptop doesn t have the manual button to turn off wireless! Really I put t know who can support me.

I ve asked the dealer and maintenance team, but they can t do anything! There is no online support for the brand as Toshiba who s shocked me!
So I'm still waiting to solve this problem, and I guess there is more customers like me having the same problem and we need the real solution!

    Stand by. Take it easy.

At first, I must say that you can call Toshiba hotline if you have any problems and ask for help. If you visit Toshiba support page for your country, you will find this number, so please don't write things on the media. If you need you can find it.

I can bet that you didn't even check the Toshiba support page to see if you can find the number of the line.
Your dealer is typical evidence that they don t have any idea of product they sold.
At least, I assume that you bought for laptop computer without an operating system preinstalled. Can you confirm this?

    Back to your problem:
All Toshiba stuff must be preinstalled in the order of specific facilities. I assume that you have installed all the drivers, tools and utilities, according to the order on the download page.
You say that you cannot enable/disable WLAN using FN + F8. Does that mean exactly?
This means you cannot use the combination of keys FN + F8 only or you cannot use FN (Flash cards) at all?

Sorry my friend but to reasonable discussion, it is important to have reasonable problem description. What you wrote, it's two sentences describing problem and two sentences complain Toshiba support.

    Hello
You said, did you check if the device is properly installed in Device Manager. Is there a red X on the wlan module in the list? And he must have this name: RTL8187B.

There are several ways to enable the wlan on your laptop. One, is the hardware switch of your laptop, the other thing you can try is a combination of FN to FN + F8.
You can control if the WiFi is working when you see the symbol of the LED is on or not.

Finally, it is a forum for user to user here.
