  Seem to be the processor quad core HD from Toshiba is not a part of this model of laptop and I doubt you could improve it with this extra processor. I think the motherboard is different and does not allow these updates.

  First of all, you have optimized your system: Optimizing after effects of performance - Support Adobe

  Second, it looks like you are fairly new to AE and that your workflow is not very effective. Here's the deal. After effects is not an editing application, it is a graphics and compositing designed app to create shots or short sequences. In addition, I would say that more than 90% of my AE projects are less than 10 seconds, because I created shots (with handles - extra images) I'll change in the body or some other NLE. Some of these comps second 10 have a hundred layers or more. If I had to do 12 minutes into a movie I would fuck the cut first in Premiere Pro to understand what was the best way to tell the story, then each shot than necessary effects would become a separate AE comp. At the very least each scene must be a model. In most of the stories that are told, as a film, a scene are only a minute or two. The average is probably less than 6 seconds. I can't imagine putting together 12 minutes in a single model AE, not because I couldn't, but because I would probably change the "timing" of some of the cuts, edit audio or make some other change before I made and changes in the middle of a project of 12 minutes would be a nightmare.

  Here's how a work on almost all editing projects.

  • First installation in a NLE such as Premiere Pro until the story is logical
  • Put the shots in AE requiring animation or effects
  • Inside AE, I first make a test pencil to check the overview and animation timings with the Panel of the model to 50% or even 25%, and automatic resolution scheduled to ensure that the timing is ok
  • Effects are added and critical frames are checked 100% for color and everything else but I rarely to ram preview several frames because I'm already happy with the calendar
  • The model is sent to the SOUL (Media Encoder) or sometimes the cue to render to render in a production format appropriate (usually 10-bit or better, often a sequence of images)
  • If the model is sent to the SOUL I continue to work on the next shot until I finished all the effects work
  • The effects of rendering images are reduced in the NLE to replace shots in the rough cut and editing is polite
  • The project is then added to the hearing for the final mix
  • The final color ranking is made - usually in the category of speed or resolution
  • The final product is made to a production for archiving format and a format of distribution (usually h.264 mp4)

  There are a lot of bounce back, but it's the most effective way to work on any project. Have you noticed that an overview of full resolution RAM full length does not at any time?

  If installation requires only a few short shots or sequences to AE, I will occasionally use Dynamic Link, but most of the time all the effects work is made. It just makes it much more efficient.

  Is that your virtual machine workload, overall, asks more it is given.  If you see the line stacked under the aggregate, you will see a virtual machine that is RED. I suspect that the VM which is in the Red contributes to your application being so high. Without this VM RED into the mix trying to swallow up all of your CPU, you demand would be much closer to its use. The chart does not appear that your cluster is out of ability, in fact, you see that the request is clearly ~ 50-60% of the capacity of cluster.  value of 68 for the workload would be the metric of the workload more limited of those chosen in the policy of cluster for the workload under the section "analysis."

  I want to update my previous post. HP support has just informed me that my processor has four-processor 1.8 ghz, integrated into a processor and it will run to approximately 6 GHz.   Everything I've seen says a 1.8 ghz processor, but it's a Quad Core. Probably the specs say you need a processor 2.2 ghz P4 or something like that. The processor you have is much faster than a single core 2.2 ghz cpu. I would be shocked if she can't handle a tv tuner.

  You can only install the processor AMD Phenom 9350 X 4 in addition to what you have. It is 2 ghz and not worth the hassle of upgrading.

  HP response is not exactly true. You can't just multiply by the number of hearts clock speed... it's not as simple as that.   I use ESXi 4.0 on Intel ICH7 Council.

  ESX Server sees 2 PCPUs and 8 vCPUs (without hyperthreading). It is a system of double-quad 2.5 Ghz.

  I assigned 4 vCPUs to install a VM and installed XPx64.

  After installation, the Task Manager shows only 2 processors.

  The Device Manager shows 4 processors.

  Device Manager displays Multiprocessor PC ACPI x 64

  When I max the ESX virtual machine CPU tops out at 5 GHz used on 20 GHz maximum, so only 2 hearts are used by the virtual machine.

  I installed the VM tools and restart - no change.

  I reinstalled the driver ACPI - no change.

  I checked the mobo BIOS and all the VT type parameters are enabled, which is how I could get the ESXi to see 8 procs in the 1st place.

  I connected the ESXi Server vSphere and installed XPx64 using 8 processors.

  The VM shows still 2 CPUs in the Manager of tasks and now 8 in Device Manager.

  Is there a restriction that I am not aware. I tried a 2nd Server ESX 4.0 (no ESXi) and it shows the same behavior on a double-double (4 physical) processor.

  I don't know what the problem is. I know XPx64 supports more than 2 processors as I installed directly on the Board that ESX is installed and reached 8-processor in the Task Manager.

  I believe that XP Pro supports only two physical casings, although it recognizes other nuclei (or HT).  There is a setting that you can change in order to have your vCPUs appear as kernels rather than separate half-bridge processors.
