Toshiba Satellite C50t - A - battery life is very short

Hi all

I have problem my C50t-A battery life is very short (less than two hours) and use usually laptop for reading, then how to check actual life of the battery and if there is problem in my battery. The application of integrity monitor shows me the battery is good, but this makes it not correct because I need to charge my phone every two hours or maybe less and this very denoising since sometimes not easy to load in any place. Are there program or ask to check my laptop battery?

Download a program called cpuid.com HWMonitor to display the level of the battery.

Lithium batteries only last about 3-4 years before you have to replace. They lose about 30% - 20% capacity every year.

  • battery life was very short on Slate 8 pro

The battery on my slate 8 Pro drains 20-30% every 12 hours, even when it is not used.  I thought maybe it was due to some applications that I had loaded, so I factory reset it and I loaded only the builtin Mail (check schedule) and a couple of new apps.  When I left the House this morning, this is 95%, when I got home tonight, it's 65 percent.  Under the battery, it will appear at the top and then WiFi.  I have a good wifi signal throughout.

Other than the most minimal config, this is a stock version - characterizes this type of performance?  Another my tablet is an older iPad, so I'm surprised that it far surpasses this slate on battery.

Thanks for all tips/tricks you may have on how to draw towards the bottom.

    -J

Just to follow up - I reset and only set up the email.  So far so good - I estimate draining the battery is less than 5% per day at rest.

Another thing I did was to remove from the case (not HP) - I kept seeing light so that in the case.  I wonder if the magnets are not quite right and the table kept thinking that opened the lid.

  • Satellite A215-S4757 - battery life and the problem of cooling fan

    Hello everyone,

I would like to ask a few questions abou my system: first, the cooling fan works in my view too often: almost without interruption, with brakes for 2-3 seconds. Is this normal?

I have my laptop since last August and I think that it shouldn't be a dust problem, because it is too 'young' for this and I do not live in an apartment "dusty"...

In any case, I think that the problem of "almost allways running fan" appeared about 2 months after I bought the laptop. I installed 'Speedfan' and I see 'HD0' temperature increases of 30deg remarks immediately after I have start the laptop, on 39deg after 1 hour.

But the most curious is that so called "Core" temperature oscillates from the beginning between 45deg and 52deg! The fan starts each time the core temperature rises to 50deg and stops when the temperature reached 45deg. This behavior is normal?

Is the normal temperature of 45-50deg? I use my laptop for browsing the Internet, emails, etc., no complex 3d games!

The second thing is that the battery life is (and has been since the beginning) not spectacular: it lasts max. 1.5 hours with wireless use on, but normal laptop (don't play not DVDs or something like that). Is this normal? If so, is it because of the amd processor turion 64 x 2?

Please help me with some tips / advice.

P.S. I bought my Toshiba as I was travelling to the US (NY).

    Thank you much in advance.

    > I would like to ask a few questions about my system: first, the cooling fan works in my view too often: almost without interruption, with brakes for 2-3 seconds. Is this normal?

I m an owner of a Satellite A210. It s similar to the A215. The A210 is a European model and the A215 belongs to the series of cell phones in the United States.
I noticed the same thing on my A210, and I think that's a normal s behavior.

    > But the most curious is that so called "Core" temperature oscillates from the beginning between 45deg and 52deg! The fan starts each time the core temperature rises to 50deg and stops when the temperature reached 45deg. This behavior is normal?
The 40-60deg CPU temperature is not unusual.
The temperature could affect up to 70-80degrees by practicing a game. So Don t worry about the temperature.
Cooling modules are controlled by the BIOS. Fan table is stored in the BIOS and it contains information about the limits of temperature and the use of cooling.
If a certain level of temperature has been reached the cooling module begins to spin with a certain speed.

Now, I would like to say a few words on the life of portable batteries
Generally the duration of battery life depends on the use of portable computers.
While playing games or watching movies the battery a lot faster.

In any case, your laptop is equipped with high performance devices and AFAIK Vista was preinstalled on this series. The two factors (high performance CPU and GPU devices) + Vista OS need a lot of battery power. Vista needs of more resources for laptop like Win XP, and so portable computers equipped with Vista operating system run more short on battery such as laptops pre-installed with Win XP.

Finally and above all he must know that there are different models more strong the battery with high * value of my would help run the notebook longer using the power of the battery.

Hope I could clarify this issue.

    Good bye

  • Toshiba Satellite Pro 2100; battery (probably) problem

About a year ago and a half year I bought the Toshiba Satellite Pro 2100. Every thing worked perfect up what a month ago, and then my adapter not workt more. With a multimeter I discovered it was broken, so I bought a new (from you guys)

But 2 weeks later a new was also broken. Then I used my father's map (it has the same specifications) which merged in 1 week.

What is going on? Where is the problem. I think it's my battery.

    Hello

It seems that your adapter is damaged by the oscillation of voltage.

I can't image the laptop that has the same voltage as the AC damaged HQ with a swing of voltage!

IF you wish, you can contact a Toshiba Service partner. They can check the power supply, I have the laptop and HQ.

  • My iPod shuffle (one of the recent 4th gen ones) battery life is really short suddenly

So I got my iPod Shuffle since mid August 2015 and, for some reason, the battery life actually only spent about 1 hour. It's never the same beforehand in January, but it seemed a bit more faster than the usual battery run (probably 5 hours or more) and in February, it dropped to about 2 hours. He went away for a while, when I used it less but recently after I have charged it and began to do something random (probably stimulation of things) it lasts barely an hour. What can I do to fix this?

I have also completely load btw.

  • Satellite L10-146: battery life decreased to 30 minutes

my laptop is supposed to have a battery about 3 hours time. I bought it a year ago, but now he can run for 30 minutes. should I go and complain where I bought it or conntact toshiba? dose - does anyone know where I can by a new? If someone had the same problem and knows what is best to do?
    I have a satellite L10-146.
    Thanks for the help!

    Hello

It is normal for the batteries decrease their performance after a while of use. But this is definitely not normal watering duration decreases of 3 hours 30 minutes in one year. So I think that if you still have warranty, you will get a new Toshiba service battery.

Anyway to get a new battery (free or not) you should contact Toshiba service partner.

  • Toshiba Satellite L50 - A battery load but remains at 0%

    Hello!

For the last two weeks, I had problems with the battery of my Satellite L50.-a. It remains at 0%, although it will load. If I remove the power adapter, the computer continues to operate for a period of time. Now, here's the odd part. If the laptop has been in charge for a while, it stops. If I remove the power adapter it will start again and show always is at 0%, but now it works for about 1.5 hours before the battery is actually empty.

So I use my laptop without power until it stops, then I charge for a few hours and then it stops and we start over.

Someone has an idea that I could do to fix this?

    I tried:

    • It loads from one day to the next without using the laptop
    • Several drivers update
    • Disconnect the battery, start with power supply adapter, stop and reconnect the battery

    Hello

Have you found a solution? I have a similar problem and cannot run the laptop with the power connected.
I have a warning message that the battery needs to be replaced and if I do that it does not start even if the replacement battery has been charged.

  • Battery life

Someone else has problems with how long does the battery last? I just bought mine yesterday and the battery life is very short. I am very disappointed. He had a full charge to 01:00 and I put it and when I woke up at 7:30, it was like 26%.

    Hello

Battery life varies depending on use and other factors.

During tests, for example, Apple has reached 18 hours of battery life with the next use: 90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of usage of the app and a workout of 30 minutes with Apple Watch Bluetooth music playback.

  • Satellite S50-B-12Z: battery life cycle Option does not appear in the eco utility

    Hello everyone.

I am facing a strange problem. The eco utility allows to work ok with win 10 on my S50-B-12Z satellite and I used the eco charging battery I've run mainly my laptop plugged in.

At some point, I need to do a system restore. I have re-installed the 10 victory and also the latest version of the eco utility downloaded from the Toshiba site. The problem is that when I open the utility eco, the choice of "battery life cycle", where you can select the eco reload or not, seems no more! So I find myself with the battery to 80% connected but does not support.

I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the utility or install an earlier version of it.

Is there something I could do in order the choice of "battery life cycle" to reappear or to cancel the State of charge of eco and leave my battery to charge again 100%?

    Thank you

I have the same problem with my P50 - A satellite. Battery-life cycle does not appear in the new eco Win 10 utility installed. Version is: 3.0.0.0006. Older versions do not work, I tried also.

More than 80% of maximum load, not 100% .

I hope someone has a suggestion. To 80% battery life is too short

  • What is the battery life of a Satellite L30-113?

    Hello
I think to buy this laptop for £299.99 from Play.com
However there is no mention of the battery life, and I really need to know what it is if I buy this laptop.

I'll use for net surfing, msn and DVD :-)
    Thank you.

    Hello

I know the machine, but main autonomy depends on the battery capacity. As I know come in two sizes: 2000 mAh and 4000 mAh.

If you use it just for surfing and etc, you will have a battery life of 2 hours with the 4000 mAh.
But be careful: If you have several applications that run in the background or opened, your battery life might be shorter. (more charges system means shorter battery life)

And finally and especially your battery life also depends on your powersaver settings, so you will need to find the configuration that fits for you (performance and battery life)

    Hope I could help you

  • Satellite C50T-A382 - updated to Win 8.1 Pro & touchscreen support

    Dear all

I am currently the owner of Toshiba Satellite C50T-A382 machine which has preinstalled Windows 8.1 edition in plain language.

I now want to upgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro Edition, however I'm worried if updated to Win 8.1 Pro, it will support not my touch screen, because I read many comments on the Internet about other brands, like H.P., happens, etc. where users have upgraded to Windows Pro Win SL 8.1 8.1 and their support of the touchscreen is so more than work.

Very would be grateful if someone could inform if it would still technically support my support for touch screen or not?

    Thank you.

    Concerning
    Tan

I put t see serious reasons why the touch screen is not working after these updates.
The driver that controls the touchscreen part of Windows 8.1 System. It s not supplied by the factory for laptop (Toshiba, etc.), but it of a Microsoft driver.

However, in most laptop cases factory provides own systems preconfigured and tested, including all drivers and additional software. All other systems, own hand are not supported by device manufacturers.

    What does that mean?
This means that in the case of certain problems (after the installation of another system) you will be always asked to test the device original system preinstalled and preconfigured.

  • 'Power saver' mode battery life has suddenly deteriorated.

Hi - I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit on a laptop Toshiba (plug here).  The laptop is a little less than 2 years old and is in constant daily use.

My battery life got suddenly shorter.  I know this because of my job (I'm a student, and I'm taking notes for the office of disabled people in my uni, so I have to carry my laptop to all my classes and taking notes).  I often have to run my laptop without being able to connect, as some halls are not equipped for it.  Accordingly, I am very tuned to what I can out of my battery.  Before Christmas, with the power saving mode and the brightness of the screen turned down as down as possible and unnecessary services and programs all does not, I could get about 1 hour and 45 minutes out of the laptop, give or take.  But now, 4 weeks later (beginning of the College's new mandate) I can barely get out of 50 minutes with the same settings.
I understand that the battery life decreases with age.  However, it is a very sharp and makes me think it's abnormal.
I would also like to point out that when I move the mouse over the battery meter, there is a distress message / (yellow triangle with "!" inside) under where it says "the current power Plan: energy saving»  The message said: "your current plan may reduce system performance."
I'm fairly certain that this message never used to be there.  In addition, on the 'High Performance' and 'Balanced' it doesn't have this message!
I changed the power options advanced to answer me.  But I have reset default values on all levels of electrical energy, in "Change Plan settings" in the "Power Options", but it did not help.
I just reset the power management using the command line (powercfg - restoredefaultschemes), which got rid of my other projects to be able to staff.  I was not able to check if it worked yet - I'll do it later - but I am not optimistic because this warning message is still there.

One last thing: when it is plugged in, that it charges 99%, not 100% as it was!  It is said, "connected - not load."  Can be linked.

Any ideas?  This is a major drawback for me because I depend on to get out 2 conferences out of my battery!

PS the display brightness is at the very least, and I can't see new programs or processes that are not running before.   In the past few weeks I did a CC registry clean for the first time.

The battery probably affects at its end of life... If you have any calibration tool in your bios that run... If this is not the case, a complete emptying and full load may help... Jared Gray - checked CrossLoop Helper - www.crossloop.com/jaredgray
