Toshiba Satellite C55-C1968 isn't anywhere

Hi all
If this laptop was purchased January 2, 2016 to Dubai to Sharaf DG.

Here are the specs:
Intel Core i5-6200U 2.3 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.8 GHz processor (6th generation) / 4 GB RAM / 1 TB HDD / DVD RW / 15.6 "LED / Intel HD Graphics / Windows 10 (x 64).

Now, when I went to register this laptop on the toshibamea.com Web site, or even the global site for Toshiba, I couldn't find this particular model of Satellite C55 - C anywhere.
Its only when I checked the serial number at the back of the laptop that I discovered that somehow Toshiva gave its own number of 'model' and it is PSKWWV-00V00KAR.

Why is this? It wasn't the only laptop computer purchased, what other customers? When they try to make a record of the product, what are supposed to choose?
And updates of drivers, sound only after see this model naming that toshiba gave internally, I managed to find the updated audio driver.
Why can't toshiba updated this model to include in their series of satellites?

Also, I recorded my laptop using the serial number on the toshibamea.com site, and yet he does not appear in the records of the Toshiba customer service.
I would like my registration to update as soon as possible in your systems.

Assume that you are in my situation, where your laptop model number is not listed, and is not being registered, what are the steps you would take, what emails would contact you to ensure that you get the registered product warranty and Toshiba realizes that one of its latest models does not appear anywhere in its own site.

  • Toshiba Satellite C55-C1K1 - 10 Windows does not work

    Bought one for my mother and it has been a nightmare. The first was a problem with the keyboard that caused it typing random characters on the screen.

    The replacement worked very well for about two months, now the touchpad has stopped working. I use the touchpad in the BIOS, so I know that is not a hardware failure. Tried all the drivers available, including the MOMENTUM (which shows a CRC problem) on the Toshiba site and nothing would work. Tried reinstall of keeping my files didn't work. Then finally took an image of the disk and installed a full Windows 10 and it STILL does not work.

    So what am I, I wanted to now install Windows 8 on it and see which will work. Why Toshiba push 10 windows on people when they did not ensure that the software and hardware are compatible.

    UPDATE.

    I installed Windows 8 on the laptop, and STILL the touchpad does not work. Finally I found a thread on another site, that said that for another model of C55 - A (similar) of Toshiba, the solution has been updated to BIOS. So I downloaded the latest BIOS update and installed. Restarted after the update, and the touchpad started working again. Restarted a few times and it still worked.

    Finally imaged original return 10 Windows operating system on the hard drive, and the touchpad and F5 (activeent/desactiveent) both work now. Toshiba needs to have a note sent with these laptops or to have a reminder. Two days lost on this nonsense.

  • Toshiba Satellite C55 BSOD/repair loop. Renounced HD, is going to replace, how do I reinstall 8.1 w/no key?

    I lost so much time trying to solve this problem (and it's my own for not not the definition of a restore point) that I am now ready to move on by installing a new HD.  I have a HD OEM (MQ01ABD07) on the way to the Amazon, but I'm not sure how to install on the new HD 8.1 because there is no key and no way to find it in the BIOS.

    What is the process to install (or reinstall) 8.1 on a new HD?  What I have to contact Toshiba and pay $40 for a disk or download?  Can I use an Installation USB drive w/Windows 8.1 on it support and hope that the BIOS automatically allows the installation?

    Just a follow-up (in the case that everyone has difficulties to stuck in a loop w/no restore point or disk saved image restore).

    I decided to use the option "Erase the hard disk" utility Toshiba on my C55, namely because I had nothing to lose (as mentioned above, I was going to replace the HD anyway).  It comes to the nuclear option, that nothing will be on the hard disk when finished.

    When the utility has reached 30%, I finished the process and enabled the HD to restart.  Screen quickly flashing no an error of operating system and rebooted again.  the HD will allow to recycle the process continuously.

    I then used F2 for BIOS, change boot order priority to USB and close the laptop.

    Insert a w/10 Reader USB installation media on it and the computer restarted.

    HD recognized the installation media and do not re-enter loop 'Repair process' (finally!).  Chose 'Installation' (not ' fix,' that I tried at first and it would not) and created new partitions, files and installation.  Regarding my first question here (BIOS will recognize installation and does not require key?), he did and the installation went forward with/without a hitch.  A took about an hour from start to end (including updates)!

    Hope this helps someone who think they are in a loop to 'Fix' and for whom the existing discussions did not work.  Of course, you will lose all your data... but you will recover the operating system.

    Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? The symptom you describe resembles the cartrdige is not printing cyan.  This can happen with some tricolour cartridges if they are very old and stored on their side.

    Your laptop model is listed, but you have to look at what criteria you choose. As you can see you can not search for C55 - A - K-19, but for Satellite C55 - A with PSCG8E part number.

    Open PC settings > PCs and devices > Bluetooth > go on IT and activate it.

    I have a Toshiba Satellite C55 - A, but my cd/DVD drive does not work.
    The DVD is very good as it works on another computer. I tried to follow the advice given in another forum.

    The only information on the computer is the Device Manager - under CD-ROM/DVD-ROM readers - the TSSTcorp CVVD SU-208DB message if I double click on it I get this message under the status of device section windows cannot start this hardware because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged (code 19).

    Unfortunately, computer tech is not my strong point so please you can help.

  • Satellite C55-A5310 - special function key does not

    I'm presenting the same report that I sent in support but repost it here in case where I do not get a useful solution.

    Yesterday, I reset my Toshiba Satellite C55 A5310 (Part #PSCF6U-0EF066 Serial #9D362065Q). It was the factory reset, then had 10 Windows reinstalled automatically. After the reboot, my special function keys were set back from the normal function of F1 - 12 and didn't find any way to change. Toshiba parameters have been removed after the reboot (not my fault), so I searched in my BIOS settings, but don't found no available keyboard option, then reinstalled the possible necessary drivers to change their back (Toshiba Service Station and HW Setup). HW installation provided the ability to use any special functions or default settings Fn, but after choosing special keys, apply and ok - nothing has changed. I ran the program as an administrator and still no change.

    Being only 16 years with only a basic understanding of the functions of the computer I please ask no simple solution not requiring any sort of 'hacking' or adjust the permissions (that made me in the first place) or editing the registry. I'm too scared to do it again and ruin all my laptop operating!

    There should be a special function key setting in the BIOS.

    Installation of HW is for Win7. Replaces the Toshiba system parameters, you need Toshiba system driver installed for it to work. It looks like you may have installed Win7/8 drivers/utils in Win10.
