Can I install Win XP on a Satellite A350 & where to find the drivers?
Hello!
I just bought a Satellite A350 and the Adobe Master Collection does not correctly install on Windows Vista, I would like to install Windows XP on the laptop.
Allas, the drivers on this site for the A350 are only for Vista? Can not I install XP on it at all, and if I can, where can I find the necessary drivers? Thanks for the help!
Gascoigne
Of course, you can install Win XP on this laptop.
But for Win XP is not available for this series of laptop and in this case, you will need to search the drivers of your own hands. Many laptop series uses the same devices and so the drivers should work also.
I would recommend some other series laptop like Satellite A300 or another and try the XP drivers released for these models.Welcome them

Please help me
Hey Buddy
You won't find any IDE or SATA settings in the BIOS. The problem is that you have not installed the SATA driver that is needed to install the XP on this laptop.
Intel Matrix Storage Manager is the key!
The storage manager should be included in the Windows XP operating system during the installation process using the F6 key.
On the other hand, you could include the Storage Manager using the free app called nLite.Looking for a little to this forum. There are enough discussions and comments about this theme.

Just to clarify something:
-If you want to install Windows XP Home edition, but do not change the BIOS settings (leave it in AHCI mode) at the beginning of the procedure of facilities you must load a SATA driver by pressing F6. That's only way to install Windows XP Home edition with success
-You can install WXP without driver SATA, but you must change the compatibility settings. Everything works fine, but if you change the settings on back ACHI you get BSOD every time when you try to start Windows XP Home editionIf you want to install the SATA driver please install WXP if you use SATA starts the driver before installing Windows XP Home edition.

Can I install Win 7 Home 64 bit on Win 7 Pro 32 bit
Current running Win 7 Pro 32 bit, need to upgrade to 64 - bit and can not really afford to pay the Tagus almost $300 price for Win 7 Pro 64. What I peux/how to install Win 7 Home 64 bit on my machine? Do not really need the Win 7 pro feature.
You must perform a 'custom' / pure install the 64-bit version because there is no "Upgrade" path
This means that you must back up all your important data (Documents, music, photos, video, Etc.) to external media. In addition, you will have to reinstall your applications once installed the 64 bit version of Windows, so round up all the media application you and product keys before you start.
Also create an image backup of your version of 32-bit as a fallback option just in case there are questions.
Then, download the device drivers 64-bit on the web support site you PC from the manufacturer and burn them on a CD.
Now you are ready to start the 64-bit installation.
No need to buy the home Premuim
If you have a business retail or OEM of Windows 7 Pro version, you can download the. ISO file listed below, create a bootable DVD using Image Burn and then install the 64-bit version of Pro using your existing 32-bit product key located on the bottom of your laptop or on the side of the cover of a desktop PC to activate Windows by phone if necessary.

Download Windows 7 proper. ISO file (must match for your product key version)

How to make a 'Keyless Install"of Windows:
Boot from the Windows 7 DVD disc, you create and launch the installation.
After entering the username and password you will be asked to: "Enter your Windows product key", do not enter a key.
Also located right underneath the box where you must enter the key is a box with a check box 'Automatically activate Windows when I'm online', remove the checkbox and click "next".You now have a 30-day grace period to activate Windows.
During this 30-day grace period you can try to solve your problems.

Satellite A305-S6858 win XP video driver does not
I recently bought a Satellite A305-S6858 in the States and I went down the Edition Vista Home premium preinstalled
for Win XP 32 sp 3. I had several problems to lift the computer up and running. After reading several posts
on various forums, I managed to install the OS, but I still cannot use the Intel video driver.
After the installation of those available on the toshiba site I still have in the Device Manager under the node for the video card
2 entries for 965 Chipset Mobile with an exclamation point.
I recently discovered that not having is not the video driver installed the operating system does not allow Stanby and Hibernate power options.
If someone has stumbled in the same issue?
Thank youYou must install the basic drivers first.
Try to install the driver for the Chipset Intel first, then the display driver.

M300-101: can I install Win Xp Prof?
Hello
can I install on Win Xp Prof M300 (but not the tablet version)?
I must not have English version... If I now Toshiba does not sell M300 with multi language pack...
If I install standard XP Prof. it'll be some problems with drivers or something?
Kris
Hello
In my opinion, you can install the Win XP OS without any problem on your M300.
I also found a good driver on Toshiba page.
It is important that you will install all the drivers necessary Toshiba and utilities in the correct order after complete installation of Windows XP.
You must install the driver from the Chipset in the first, then the common modules and pilot display and so on.Good bye

You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 8 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.
I propose to you leave as is and put to upgrade to 8.1 Windows put in day 1 which significantly improves the user experience for mouse and keyboard users, more:

Can I install a new HARD drive and use an old backup
Just, I got my new Dell's HARD drive and need to install it in my Dim 9200. Can I use the old hard drive as a backup drive or secondary without deleting anything or reformatting? I have too many things on the old drive and am not crazy about cloning, I prefer to do a clean install of XP and be able to do things more when I feel the need. Is this possible or am I dreaming.
Has never done this before so I need help. Thank you.
Dimension 9200 E6600 2.4 GHz 4 GB DDR2 sdram @ 533 MHZ 4x1Go
250 GB SATA II Samsung spinpoint drive HARD 8 MB cache 7200 RPM

After installing the new drive hard SATA and windows installation, etc. and when it works to your satisfaction, put the 'old' drive as the secondary, transfer all the files and folders you need in the new C: / volume, using the option "send to." Providing the old hard drive has no problems, then the format and partition the drive for additional storage.
Note. Only files and folders can be transferred, all programs and applications must be reinstalled from their records, or downloaded from the site of the publishers.
