Toshiba stor.e connection of wireless network card

Hello. I bought the stor.e wireless adapter and I am totally disappointed. I was expecting to connect to my WiFi router and then I could access it as a network within my normal system drive.

Unfortunately, it creates its own wifi network and devices need to connect directly to the adapter for access. This makes the camera useless for me, because I wanted to access my files on my local network far enough away where the adapter signal does not reach.

Is it possible to make it to fix on my local network and I can access it from there?

A second problem is that the Android on 5 Android app does NOT work. 4.4, I can see the files, on 5 I can't.

Totally threw the money. If these problems not corrected soon I would not recommend this product or anything affiliated with someone I know.

The STOR. E wireless adapter can be used as part of an external HDD or SSD hard drive.
It supports hard disks up to 2 TB, and it allows you to access the data stored on the HARD drive using the Android app.
This is the main function of this STOR. E wireless adapter.

You can also map the card wifi as a network drive in Windows system.

In Explorer types:
198.168.65.1. then right click and choose map network drive.
In a new window, select the application letter to the new drive (Z) and click the Finish button.

    Hello!
I bought just new Satellite L50 - B - 1 DM, model number PSKTCE and installed on Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit. He came without OS installed and without driver installation disk.
Problem is that Wlan card does not appear in Device Manager.

For my Toshiba support model are 37 drivers and programs. I have already installed: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, all updates to Windows that appeared, SP 1, driver LAN, Toshiba Value added Package. And I tried to install all wlan drivers 4 in the list of "tool utility Intel ' also.
Does not always display any connection without wireless WLAN card. Pressing Fn + F12 does not change. In "Network connections" is the only connection - LAN. No WLAN, no bluetooth.

I have "Other devices" in Device Manager with yellow marks on: network controller; PCI device; PCI Simple Communication controller; SM Bus controller. USB controller; Unknown device (with Microsoft ACPI - compliant system location) and video controller.

  • Unable to connect to wireless networking

My Toshiba laptop has been pre-installed with Windows 7 Home premium 64 - bit OS and it worked quite well with the BB wireless. However, the wireless internet was on and turned off in recent weeks, while other mobile devices, such as iphone, ipad, or laptop, in my household had no such problem. The wireless signal was so strong, but the error message always says "unable to connect to wireless networking. It seemed that there was something wrong with the wireless adapter.

I got a new adapter properly installed TP-Link wireless. Fortunately, it worked; but unfortunately, it worked for less than 24 hours. It was really frustrating that I, like student full time, depended so much on the wireless network card.

    Help, please! Harry

    > Also may try to reinstall the drivers that appear in this web site, appear here the Atheros drivers your need of portable.

Your computer laptop doesn t support card Atheros, but card Realtek WLan.

    > In Device Manager, everything is ok, but I can't connect.
As you say the WLan card is recognized correctly, but you can't connect.
    Why?

I m do not know why, but you should check first if your WLan router uses the same standard WLan (802.11 A, B or G) as the WLan card.
    Check the settings!

Then check if the right WLan encryption has been selected, check if the Mac address was not enabled, check if the firewall doesn t affect the WLan connectivity.

Hardware upgrade on mobile machinery is very limited and most of the information you can get on an upgrade supported for RAM or HARD drive. Upgrade for all other hardware is not supported, so actually there is no info on the hardware compatibility.

What WLAN card is inside your old L10?
Have you tried to install the drivers of Toshiba Portal Wlan WLAN - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

Download driver driver from here and install it. Maybe this will help you get the wireless network card is functioning properly.

    Hello world

I had this problem: the wi - fi network card is not present in the list of hardware, the installation of the driver (both Toshiba tools and Utilities CD and downloaded drivers) still fails. In the case of Toshiba CD it says "DON'T NOT updated the driver, Installation failed", while in the case of the downloaded drivers, nothing happens when I choose "Install" from the context menu (click on right .inf). The problem is: the wi - fi card is completely absent, the operating system does not, it does not matter where.

    Hello

are you sure that you really have a wireless network card installed? Not all machines don't.
Check the code under the machine. It is printed on a silver label and looks like this:
    PIII1000/256/20/14XT/D/LM/W

This one is a 1 GHz Pentium 3 machine. Read your code and put it here and we can tell if it has a built in network RLR.

    Hello

I think that it shouldn't be a problem to upgrade the WLan card.
As far as I know its a card wireless network of miiPCI and you would need to also use a WLan card which would support the miniPCI interface.

The wireless network card supports two pins for the WLan antenna cable.
Usually, you must connect a white cable to the HAND and a black to the auxiliary voltage
