  The 4.5 refers to the component pack version. If you expand to 4.3, then you need get the 4.3 component pack and install it as well. Go to the page that I provided above and download the pack of item 4.3 in the list of downloads (near the bottom of the page).

  I bought 2 of these laptops for my boys to school. They came loaded with Windows 7, although I received an offer to update to Windows 8 for a special price I did.

  Doing this he taught me that there are conflicts with some programs I had to uninstall and reinstall later.

  The programs that I had to delete were:
  Toshiba Disc Creator
  Toshiba face recognition
  Toshiba Health Monitor
  Intel USB 3.0
  Extensible host control driver
  Toshiba LAN indicator
  Toshiba Recovery Media Creator

  Where can I find these programs to download? I have search Toshiba and entered in the model of the computer, but it does not recognize the last part of the model (PSK DLA).
  I just want to make sure that I'm downloading again the right programs.

  I am also now having a problem with the video playback after download of WIndows 8. I hear the sound but I get no image. This happens also on my HP laptop. I use the Radeon Graphics AMD (sorry, I know this goes to show that I have a computer with no idea).

  If some tools are missing, then it means that this tools don t exist to win 8 at this time.

  It is only part of the image of Toshiba. The recovery disk creator creates the image of preinstalled by Toshiba system recovery. If you have improved the system to Win 8, you will need to use other tools to create an image of the system.

  If the details in the Diagnostic PC tool (Toshiba utility) are incorrect, the information must be updated by an authorized Service Center.

  Or it could be the security software that blocks information. Try uninstalling/disabling your antivirus software.

  I bought a Tosh laptop about a year ago and I like to keep programs and services up-to-date.
  When I visited the site the other day, I noticed that my laptop model is now discontinued... someone else in the family just got a new laptop Tosh and I noticed lots of Toshiba Basic programs and services are much more recent than mine.

  No one knows how long we receive updates for? End of warranty? End of production?
  I downloaded Tosh a similar, more recent programs and they work just fine - I don't know why my previous updaters of Tosh software does not give them to me. Of course, some newer models will have some new features that are not compatible with mine.

  I think of "slipstreaming" latest updates in it, and I notice that I can add a new driver updates. What other users think / do?

  As I see you have two questions. ;)

  Initially, I would say I don't think anyone here will be able to provide accurate answers, but here's my opinion:

  Q1 full installation for the installation of the OS I prefer, but I think that you will be able to make Win7 upgrade. Problem is how the Toshiba tools and utilities will work after this upgrade. As far as I know in the past Toshiba has suggested to abolish some tools and utilities before installation upgrade begins.
  Then perhaps you should think of the complete installation of operating system. I think it is the best solution for you.

  Q2 I the history I see a problem, what happens if Toshiba does not provide supported Win7 for your laptop model? You will then have problems and try to use Vista stuff in hopes that it works with Win7 too. Anyway, in this forum, you can find several assignments where people confirm that most of the stuff Vista with Win7 runs.

  I believe that UDP (beforehand) and TCP (for communications) is used by MAX.

  You might also consider using a tool like Wireshark network sniffer to see what links are used.
