Total system availability

Hello

Does anyone know how to find out the availability of the OVERALL system on a PC? I am awre that you can find information like this in the task mangager, but since the last boot. Certainly there is something on the hat pc your time records? If so, how can I access information?

Thank you

Jord-

Hello

I don't think there is any way to do it.  As during a reboot, or boot, this information would be lost because it is not able to be stored anywhere to access again to add both the system came back upward.  Everything I've seen shows that since the last boot.

Kind regards

I would like to do a total system restore, but I can't find how to do it on windows vista. I'm too used to my windows xp. Help, please. Thank you...

p.s. If I do that it will try to stop and then restart again on me? If yes what is the best method on how to do... I don't have disk they all inside the pc.

    Hello

    1. is only a problem when running a particular program?
    2. could you give us the exact name of the program that you have installed?

You can check if this program is listed in the program and you can remove this program from there.

First of all, you must disable the auto reboot system error and then we can check whether or not the problem is in the clean boot state.

    Method 1.
Step 1. Disable automatic reboot to avoid unwanted restarts on system failure.
    a. when your computer starts up keep press F8 on your keyboard until you get the Advanced Boot Options screen.
    b. now, use the arrow keys, select Disable automatic restart in case of system error and press ENTER.

Step 2 Start the computer in a clean boot state and check.
See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    Method 2.
Type eventvwr.msc/s in the address bar.
The list of all the events that are listed as 'Error' in the main window when you go to 'Newspapers Windows' and 'Application '. There is often a large number of them. Send us any ones you see listed for the last few days. (Please also do it for the log files in 'System'). When you do, provide us the name of the 'Source' and all that is listed in the description below the list of newspapers box when you click on one.

For more information on event viewer, see the articles below:
    Open event viewer
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/open-Event-Viewer

If you want to restore the computer to factory settings, you can contact the manufacturer of the computer.

    I hope this helps.

  • 2008 imac last version of the operating system available

I have a 2008 currently under Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Imac.  Trouble with Google docs and I have heard that it's because of my version of the OS.  I was wondering what version of the OS, I would need to go?  or am I stuck to this version?

My current system settings are as follows:

    Model name: iMac

    Model identifier: iMac5, 1

Processor name: Intel Core 2 Duo

    Processor speed: 2.16 GHz

    Number of processors: 1

    Total number of cores: 2

    L2 Cache: 4 MB

    Memory: 2 GB

    Bus speed: 667 MHz

    Boot ROM version: IM51.0090.B09

Version of the SCM (System): 1.9f4

Serial number (System): PS * WRX

    Material UUID: *.

It's a 2006 iMac, not a 2008 a. He can't be updated past 10.7.5; you're probably better off circuit to software as Firefox instead of upgrading its operating system.

  • I want to change the fonts, but didn't get the message 'no police system available.

I am trying to edit a PDF pamphlet created by another party.  Using Acrobat Pro Mac OSX.  I select "edit the text of the document" and then try to remove or change the text and get the message. "all or part of the selection has no available system fonts, you can add or remove text using the selected font.

I don't see any bar of another way to change the font or font format.

Is there a way to work this?

More to 'Acrobat answers' Karl Kremer of the AUC has answered a similar question.
    He wrote in part:

"I assume that you want to change the content of a PDF file, and you can't do it because you do not have the installed font that is used in this file. That's how Acrobat: you must have the font in your document installed on your local computer in order to make changes to the text that uses this font. There is no way around that. You will need to know what font is used for the text that you need to edit and then acquire this font (and that usually means buy this policy, unless you are subscribed to for example CC and this policy are available through TypeKit).

Another option is to select all the text and replace this text with a different but similar font. Again, you can only use a font available on your computer as target police. But once you've done that, you should be able to edit your document.

You change the font by selecting tools > content edition > Text Edit & Images, and then you select the text you want to change, and your police target. »

  • InetPing return false system available

I have an application where I use InetPing to verify that a network exists before testing network-centric.  He has worked successfully, to the best of my knowledge for some time (months).  However I was just run the test and observing the performance when I noticed that the service has returned a success when I could clearly see the network was not yet upward.  I removed the RF connection to ensure that the network would not come to the top and the function returns the network device is available about 1 four in five attempts.  What is happening with this function that causes this kind of problem?

    Thank you...

So I think I found the problem.  I put my code with the help of the MSSDK IcmpEchoSend implemented and found that she would receive a response, but the response has an error code 11003 associate which is a mistake WSANO_RECOVERY (Non-recoverable error, FORMERR, REFUSED, NOTIMP).  This error is not taken trapped inside the InetPing function, and so the program was wrong in thinking that it was a success.  With the help of IcmpEchoSend these and other types of errors can be trapped and handled accordingly.

This started as a problem with my Cyberlink webcam intern went from Windows Installer update failure, HP tuneup, system failure of restoration, but after it reboots said it was successful, but caused the corruption of Norton AV that does not leave my browsers open, so no Internet (using old laptop now). Then this unit only got AM start in safe mode. I know that I do not understand (no, never created any sort of p/C). Intend to order a system recovery disk. It comes with window installer does not not an external hard drive can be installed required trasmet docs and photos? Skype is always showing me messages such as BW_LOW and BW_CRITICAL in the technical information of the call. My first reaction was "Oh, Skype uses a crapton of bandwidth, no wonder that shows why", but apparently that's not true. The Task Manager is showing me that Skype uses only 0.1 Mbps of my 5 Mbps connection. Why?

  • Improvement of the total system

I use my t61 (7659-12u) for a few years and loving every minute.

I just installed windows 7 64 bit and its nice been smooth. Looking around there are a lot of sweet deals for new machines, but I can't get rid of my lenovo anytime soon.  I had planned to 4gig ram because I have the 64-bit windows 7 installed, but then made think to replace the card mother NVIDIA version 140M is in the computer, Please. Maybe something else?

The idea is THEREFORE to upgrade the Council and graphics all in one shot, upgraded max out at 4 GB of ram and processor.

I searched all day for a person who did this, but I can't seem to find someone who is blog about it.

Someone at - it an incentive to this idea?

    Welcome to the forum!

I wouldn't change the motherboard with the nVidia GPU since these have a relatively high failure rate, and you would be out of warranty and yourself if such a Council has failed. Your X 3100 is much safer.

You can throw in 8 GB of RAM in T61 if you choose to do, BTW.

    Good luck.

  • Cannot save the T61p XP/SP3 - Power Manager problems, programs, limited systems available

Hi all - when I got this - Rockin '-mobile initially I could put my own power plans without problem.  Now it won't save my new powerschemes.  I try to create one, to complete the last step, and then the power mode is not in the drop-down list.  I read somewhere on the Web that this may be due to SP3.

Also, the only one I have access to power management are reading video and performance.  I tried to uninstall the power manager and the DLL associated with and then put it back, but that did not help.  Also, I don't see any reference to this problem to be solved.  Thanks in advance.  This gets really annoying as I like to use as little energy as possible since I quite often use the computer on battery power.

    Thank you!  g-

Bravo - who did it! Thank you!

Here is the solution to save the future of research some time:

    *******

Method 1: Use the Powercfg.exe utility to restore the default power mode

loadTOCNode (2, 'resolution'); You can use the Powercfg.exe utility to copy the power mode of the user by defaultto the currently logged user profile. You can do this because eating patterns are only related to individual user accounts. To copy the default user schema using the Powercfg.exe utility, follow these steps:

    1. click on Start, click run, type cmdand then click OK. 2. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER: powercfg /RestoreDefaultPolicies

  • The Task Manager does not display the extra RAM, I installed.

I've recently updated the RAM in my office from 4 GB to 8 GB, but the Task Manager still shows 4 GB.  How to recognize a total of 8GB of RAM.  On the control panel – system and Maintenance – display system window, it shows that my office has 8 GB.  So why don't the Task Manager pick it up?

    Hi Teresa Barton,.

This behavior is the expected result of some hardware and software factors. Various devices in a typical computer require memory-mapped access. This is known as memory-mapped i/o (MMIO). For the MMIO space is available for 32-bit operating systems, the MMIO space must reside in the first 4 GB of address space.

You can check out the link below that may help you resolve the issue.
System memory shown in the system information dialog box in Windows Vista is less than expected if the 4 GB of RAM is installed
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929605/en-us

Note When the physical RAM that is installed on a computer equals the address space that is supported by the chipset, the total system available to the operating system memory is always less than the physical RAM installed. For example, consider a computer equipped with an Intel 975 X chipset, which takes in charge of 8 GB of address space. If you install 8 GB of RAM, the memory available to the operating system system will be reduced by the requirements of PCI configuration. In this scenario, PCI configuration requirements reduce the memory available to the operating system in an amount that is between about 200 MB and 1 GB approximately. The discount depends on the configuration.

Please post back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem.

  • Impossible to uninstall total care system

    Hello

I installed the system Total Care software (by mistake). After a few days, I decided to remove it. I uninstalled the software CCleaner. After that, in a day or two, my system crashed and Win 7 pro 64 bit has made a recovery. Now I see that the care of the whole system was reinstalled by the Windows recovery, but now I can not remove it. I tried to uninstall through Control Panel but does not work. I also tried to delete via CCleaner, but once again can not. I tried to do the same in safe mode as well but just did not work. I'm out of ideas.

    You can use something like:
