  How can I get the touchpad to auto-pop-up when I touch the search in the bar of charm in landscape mode? I noticed that it works when I put the monitor in tablet mode, but if I want to turn the connected keyboard monitor and use it as a touch interface I do not get the touch keyboard to auto-start.

  If the problem persists, you can run the SFC (System File Checker) scan on the computer to ensure that the system files are intact. The tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker scans missing or system corrupted files and repairs them.

• Screen touch keyboard and damage the Qosmio X 500-149

  I have a Qosmio X 500 - 149 for Christmas 2010 and I have noticed that the screen is reported in the Middle by the keyboard, it seems that there is not enough space between them when the lid is closed, I love this computer and do not want to see it ruined so early because of poor design or manufacturing defect.

  I might still add some tampons felts to the top of the screen to stop the lid close completely, when it is closed if I look on the side of the X 500 red on the cover Cup is closest to the base at the front, that's in the back near the hinge, obviously this can be solved by the replacement of slightly larger "cover FEET" that would prevent the lid as far down touching.

  Help please.

  You did a superb job of troubleshooting by trying the keyboard on the screen. Great work! Kudos to you for this. Please open different applications like MS Word, notepad, or WordPad and verify if the keyboard still fails and is not.

  Please follow these steps and let me know how this pans.

  Symptoms:

  Keyboard does not work after logging in to Windows

  Cause:

  Windows configuration problem: filter keys are turned on.

  Resolution:

  1) go to start > Control Panel > accessibility.

  2) click on the brand of the keyboard easier to use.

  (3) scroll down to make it easier to type article.

  (4) clear the turn on the check box of the filter keys.

  I've included screenshots for the same thing.

• 7 - taskbar of flow and touch keyboard problems

  I have a Signature Edition Stream 7 8.1 running. Three questions that I couldn't find answers elsewhere:

  (1) whereas on the desktop, how to display the task bar? It remains hidden and I don't want to set preferences so that it's always been. I touch all along the bottom of the screen, scroll to the top of the bottom, etc... and no luck.

  (2) the keyboard Stream 7 does not return to its place when files are opened, so I can't rename files, search for documents from the office, etc...  The keyboard appears when Chrome/IE is open, but not when I do research or changes to the current system.

  (3) associated with #2, where the program files? I'm trying to choose the Kindle app to open a personal MOBI file, but there is no way to look up this request because I do not have access to the keyboard.

  (1) the touch screen does not detect anything a few pixels at the border. slide windows screens still work, but the bar auto-hide tasks will not.

  (2) the keyboard is not automatic for normal programs, you will need to use the taskbar to open the keyboard when you need it.

  3) press the windows key and then drag the subway display upwards.

• BlackBerry passport more uses for the touch keyboard

  I'm absolutely in love with my passport, but I had a few ideas on how to make touchpad a little more helpful and make things a bit faster and more convenient;

  1. navigate through the pages of the home screen with the touch pad.

  Drag to the left and through the pages of home app with the keyboard would be great.

  Potentially can even add one later option to highlight icons and enter them similar to the classic. But I prefer is an optional thing.

  2. slide in an application.

  While scrolling an app, it would be great for me to be able to slide right on they keyboard to return "" on the previous page.

  Of course, it would be disabled by default all by making a text entry.

  This movement can be extended to the rear movement used on android applications, it would be much easier to try on the screen.

  There are two ideas: swipe to navigate through the home screens, potentially emulating the classic trackpad (optional)

  And allowing movement to the right as the equivalent to return back a page and extending applications android, author of the motion back on the keyboard instead of or in addition to the motion of the screen.

• Is it possible to use virtual touch keyboard when a HID barcode scanner is connected to BlackBerry Z10?

  Hello everyone!

  I intend to build a web application for the BlackBerry Z10 with which you can scan bar codes for inventory management. For this I use a KDC200 Bluetooth laser scanner barcode. I've used this scanner barcode with the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and a Java application using the net.rim.device.api.bluetooth.BluetoothSerialPortListener. The scanner was then developed the SPP (Serial Port Profile) mode and this solution worked well.

  Now with the Z10 BlackBerry, I connect the Bluetooth bar code scanner as a HID device because the PSP seems to be taken in charge by the Z10 (?). With PSP no connection can be established at all. This type of connection setting (HID/SPP) can be switched on the scanner device. When the scanner is connected as a HID, the value of the scanned bar code is correctly written in the input field focus on the BlackBerry. But now, there is a downside: as long as the HID scanner is connected, touch virtual keyboard of the Z10 is disabled and does not appear when you tap on an input field - in any application.

  These input methods (HID vs virtual keyboard) are mutually exclusive, or is at - it a way to get the virtual keyboard works while the HID scanner is connected? In my web form there is sometimes a barcode field and normal input fields, for example to analyze a bar code, and then manually enter a quantity.

  BTW: for ergonomic reasons, there is no to enter the barcode with the camera of the smartphone. In addition, the solution must be implemented in the form of a web application.

  Have you tried the Salvation two fingers?  Swipe up from the bottom of the screen with two fingers to open the keyboard.  I found that this worked when the keyboard was unable to present themselves on the fields of entry on some websites.

  I have problems with the keys does not properly on the touchscreen keyboard.  When the phone is in portrait mode and I press a button that pops up is the key to the left end of the line ex: if I press L an A appears on the screen, if I press on U I get a Q.   If I turn the phone so that the keyboard is now on the same side as the USB port I get some buttons are on the bottom of the screen.  If I rotate 180 degrees, that none of the keys work.

  I also noticed what is happening in applications such as Google Latitude.  If I press on one of the icons on the bottm of the screen the only one that fits is the zoom key.

  If I do a battery pull things work well for a bit, and then it starts to work again.

  I have not seen anyone else posting about this and I hope it's just the phone.  I Exchange it tonight.

  Takes over the phone and the guy at the store ATT said that the screen was not calibrated correctly.  It replaces the ohone and so far, this one is much better.

  I asked him what I would do if this happens six months from now and he said that if I did a wipe and re-installed the operating system, it deals with this question.

• Customized for the thai touch keyboard

  I very rarely have to type in thai. I'm slow and didn't get enough practice to improve, so hunt and Peck.

  The thai alphabet is great; You must use SHIFT + x for about half of the letters. On my Windows 7 laptop, I applied stickers keys that show the character (SHIFTed) replacing as well as the regular character. I can look around and find the character I want to.

  On my Windows 8 tablet, I have to use the on-screen keyboard.  But the keyboard makes you on the screen, press SHIFT to see the characters SHIFTed - and then you see the SHIFTed characters only. No matter what, you can't see half the characters at a time. I want to see all the characters, if I can find one I want to type more easy. Basically I want a keyboard on the screen that looks like my computer keyboard laptop decalled.

  Does one exist?
