• Touchscreen driver update problem

  The pilot (Nextwindow Voltron Touchscreen) updates automatically after the installation of Win 8 RTM when you only run Windows Update routine. At least in my case it did, and it works fine.

  Touchscreen drivers use the Human Interface Device (HID) Protocol to communicate. If you look in Device Manager they will appear here.  Here is a link that might help.

  You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix all drivers that did not come through for Windows.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

  I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.

  1. The issue has started happening recently?
  2. You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?

  This problem occurs when there is that no updated drivers are there for the material. As you have tried most troubleshooting including reset, I suggest you try to install the updated for touchscreen drivers and chipset drivers and check if it helps.

  Method 1:

  Uninstall and reinstall the driver for Interface devices and check the issue. 

  Follow the steps below to uninstall the drivers.

  1. Press the Windows key + X , and then select Device Manager.
  2. You can search for Devices of Interface and expand it.
  3. Right-click on the Devices of Interface and select Uninstall.
  4. Restart your computer. Windows will install the generic drives after reboot.

  Look for the question, if it persists the passage to the next method.

  Method 2:

  Uninstall and reinstall the chipset drivers and display drivers.

  Follow the steps in method 1 to uninstall display drivers and chipset drivers but it does not restart, you need to download the driver from the link below.

  Here are the specifications of your HP tm2-2052nr laptop. According to the specifications, it comes from the factory with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. You must have created a set of HP recovery disks when you set up your computer. These discs would restore the system to a factory like State in a situation like this.

  Drivers for your system are located HERE , but I have not found a 32-bit driver for the touch screen. If you wish to order discs of HP recovery, call or email HP customer care to order.

I want to get multi touch function, but the touch feature does not at all. I installed 'dell_st2220t-touch-monitor_a00-00_driver' and plugged my usb upstream to the laptop, but when I checked with computer Tablet via Control Panel setting, according to me, he said only "limited support touch" when I chose monitor st2220t.   The ST2220T Touch is not supported for Windows 8.

  User guide Touch screen care States, "Win7 multi-touch" and "Windows 7 compatible".

  Compatibility of the touchscreen OS User Guide says.

  Multi-touch (two points) = Windows 7 Edition Home Premium, full, professional edition, Enterprise

  Windows 8 is supported by the driver, but this isn't a touchscreen driver. What we offer for Windows 8 is:

  I have a Sony VAIO Duo svd11225cxb. After the recent updates, freaked out and kept touch screen back to the menu screen to start (and possibly other areas of the screen).

  We decided that so that the computer to operate, it should disable the touch screen. So we went to the Device Manager and disabled the "usb input device" under "human interface devices" which associated with the touch screen.   Perhaps the question is just the driver. We will isolate the problem by following these steps:

  • Power cycle - turn off the laptop-> flip the unit and look for a button cell or a pin hole on the bottom of the laptop. Using a safety pin, press and hold the hole for 5 seconds.

  

  • Reset the BIOS to the
  • Go to Device Manager -> right click and Uninstall the driver/s under Human Interface Device (DO NOT REMOVE). Then restart the unit. The driver will be reinstalled.
  • Run the Windows Update and Vaio Update.

  Select the Pen and Touch and go to the contact tab.

  At the top is "Use your finger as input device."  Uncheck the box.

  Click apply and then click OK.

  Hi, I have a HP TouchSmart 320-1030, so it can work on your TouchSmart:

  1. Press Windows + X logo.
  2. Select Device Manager from the list.
  3. Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
  4. Click the touchscreen driver (in my case, Voltron NextWindow touch screen).
  5. Right click and select disable from the list.
  6. Click Yes in the dialog box that asks you if you are sure you want to disable the touch screen driver.

  When you want your touchscreen to work again, follow the above procedure, EXCEPT when right-clicking on the touch screen driver, select enable.
