Tracing an image Contour lines.
I want to trace the contours of an image and use the work to the civil 3d channel. I understand that photoshop and other software may be needed to pull this off. I'm looking for help with the steps necessary to perform this task.
You can use the feather of Photoshop to create vectors brush or pencil to draw. There are stand-alone programs such as potrace which can be used with Photoshop to create a vector image of the black white abd images. Adobe Illustrator has an auto-trace tool
Script Photoshop black Raster to Vector I use windows so that the script is likely to work only on a PC

Contour line produce unwanted results
Hello!
Can anyone tell why this is happening and how I can avoid it without changing the path? (see attachment before/after images)
Thank you to.
Rune
It is a product of the contour line. Use Pathfinder > unite for the difficulty
You can have a few stray points, I have chosen them so that you don't forget to select and delete.

generate the path inside the contour line.
I know that I can't go back to the route of the path including the weight once I turned into contour line. But if there is, in any case, I can build a path to the center of the contour line? I don't mind the weight and color, I want just the path to be created there.
greatveemongfx,
Why some (or no), I cannaot see one of the images.
You can:
(1) copy the path shown vascular accident brain and hide the original until done;
(2) direct select and delete the end segments.
(3) create a mixture of 1 step the rest in front of some parts of it.
(4) object > blend > expand.
(5) remove the unwanted paths.
Now you can view the original form described again.

Could someone explain the differences between these three commands? I created a circle with a stroke, applied all the three commands and ended up with the same thing, a compound path. Are there situations where this is not the case, or situations where one of these commands is more appropriate?
Cleveland,
In the case of the accident vascular cerebral/nofill right, object > describe vascular accidents, cerebral and object > expand seem to do the same thing.
In the layers palette, you can see three different results to develop if you have so much background and outline ticked, ticked off just about fill, and only STROKE checked. Only the last corresponds to the contour line.
You use Outline Stroke that more simple if it's what you need. Trace to create something with one or more holes of several paths, either to raise subsidized the Clipping Path of a clipping mask paths. Expand is for the rest.

I'm getting white gaps between the black contour lines and color fill on laser printer
I'm getting white gaps between the black contour lines and color fill on laser printer
You're welcome, Calotypist.
Illy prefer PostScript because it gives you a reliable/complete (more) reproduction (depending on the version, you can also see (more) complete print failure).
With a PDF basically tell you the printer where to put the points/tasks. Without it, the printer (pilot) has to figure (some) outside.
If you can get one for the printer in question, a printer PostScript (emulation) driver will leave you direct printing.

How can you get lines map image on a map of the State? Here is an example of a card that I want to use with lines of panoramic. I want the hyperlink to pages using Dreamweaver.
You need to export in the form of "layers" of photoshop first. This will create a separate files for each of the layers (lines & card separately).
You can then use the tutorial link I gave you to the 'layer' these images upward in an area of your Web site. You can link images with lines anywhere you want.
However, for starters, you can use the polygon hotspot so that it can work. Maybe later when you have time, take a look at the tutorial reference that I posted.

Some images (mostly line drawings) fuzzy, ok but when printed
Hi all
When my Indesign file displaying some of my images are difficult to read with or without overprint preview.
These are above all the drawings/images with thin lines.
When exporting to PDF format all looks fine, but it would allow a good look while working in Indesign.
Is there a way to resolve this display problem?
Attached is an example of the view of Indesign and exported final PDF view
Additional information:
I tried setting the document and the images are assigned to the display of high-quality performance.
Links are all related.
I've tried places images in PDF or JPEG format
With the help of IndesignCC
Don't bother on this subject, it's normal.

How to unite with a contour lines
Hello world
I want to unite the interior features including the outline of the foodtruck. The result is always the same, the lines disappear a contour is bold. I really need help fast .the strokes must be extended all first (object > path > outline stroke).
What is happening right now for you, is that unit combines the area of each path and the straights have no area, so they are just disappearing.

I need to get an invisible line around this image by following the outline of the image, so I can cut it with a printer OPOS. I work with CS5. Could someone help me please?
Select what you want the line to encompass. copy and paste to the prior (ctrl + f). Keep what you paste selected. Open the pathfinder Panel (window > pathfinder). Click on "join". Give your new object no race / no fill.

Hello
whenever I saw my html in safari a thick border on 3px appears a round of images. no idea why/how it happens?
Thank you
Tom
Fixing, it is relatively simple. In Source view, change this line...
for this...
http://www.BIGGA.org.UK' >id = "may_img" / > ".
Then, in the
section of your page, in yourfor this...
TD {}
do-size: 9px;
padding: 5px;
}
{#may_img}
float: left;
Width: 175px;
height: 248px.
margin: 10px;
}
Who will remove your big blue border and switch style for the image css control.

Pixel blur on the contour lines
Hi all
I have a problem with the clarity of the lines used to space copy
It's just literally a line with a race of 1px.
some lines are perfectly clear, where as others are blurry...
not sure why this is happening?
This is the only screenshot I can capture...
Tim
Hi Tim,.
You get the blurred lines because they are not positioned exactly on the pixel grid.
When a 1 pixel wide line (or in InDesign 1 pt, which is the same) falls between the pixels, it is anti-aliased when converting to a bitmap and grayscale are introduced. Anti-aliasing is nice for the type and the curves, but not for horizontal or vertical lines. If the line is positioned exactly on the pixel grid, it would be a strong stroke of 1 pixel width.
What you might want in InDesign to avoid this problem is a "align and Snap to Pixel Grid" like Illustrator has.
You can ask it here:
https://www.Adobe.com/cfusion/mmForm/index.cfm?name=wishform
In the meantime, try this for new documents designed for tablets:
Create a new document with the dimensions in pixels of your tablet.
Go to preferences, then select grids
For the grid of the Document, enter the same amount for horizontal, vertical and subdivisions. I got 100 in all these boxes.
This creates a grid of pixels a pixelwide.
In InDesign, go to the view menu and select grids & Guides: see the grid of the Document (you can turn off later) and snap to Document grid.
This will cause your lines to line up on the grid, but they will not be positioned on the pixel, but between the pixels because by default, the line is aligned to the center of the lines. They line up on the grid lines and cover half a pixel on each side of the line. This will give you lines of Ant-aliasing you blurred.
To avoid this problem, make sure that you do not have anything selected and go to the window/contour.
Click the line Align / Align race icon inside (or outside) If you prefer.
This will cause all the lines and boxes falling exactly on the pixel grid.
Save the document as a template in InDesign and use in the future to avoid the blurred lines.
On the far left lines that are exactly on the grid of pixels and next to them, the lines that fall between pixels. On the right the bitmaps that results.
Kind regards

Display of lines or insertion of narrow images as lines
Hello
I want to insert rows in my Captivate animations, to divide the slides in differnet sections. I actually questions around this:
1. is it possible to draw lines directly on a Captivate slide?
2. I could not find a way to draw lines, so I created files image of very long and narrow (1 pixel wide) and inserted in my project. However, when I do this, Captivate resizes them - I can't bring to 1 pixel wide, even if I change the size of them properties after having inserted them. This isn't after the publication of the draft, it's while I'm still editing.
Captivate has a size (in pixels) for the image files? Can anyone think of a way to view all right, narrow lines of different lengths on a Captivate slide?
Hope this makes sense, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank youRick
Thanks for your quick response. I tried what you suggested and it works like a charm.
To answer your questions, I am using Captivate 2, but the more 'thin' I could get my rows to display (without using your method) was 4 pixels wide. Better than 10 pixels, but still not great.
Thank you

Process image: red line and flag - BPM stand-alone 10g
In the standalone BPM 10 g, I hightlight an instance and click on the link of the process image.
In the pop window, the flag is in the current activity. However, the red line is still in the first activity.
Why they are not in the same place. ?To view all the red lines, you must specify all activities raise events, you probably have automatic configuration of activities that generate no events such as this it the default configuration

Galleries of images on line in Bridge or Photoshop?
I used to create galleries of images in Bridge that could be published directly online. Customers could click on an image and inspect a larger preview. It seems that this feature has been removed. The only option I see in the current version of the CC is the function of Contact sheet via photoshop. This seems to be a much more fundamental characteristic. I see no solutions to improve the overall appearance of the Board contact beyond the basics. I haven't used one of these features for a while, then maybe there's some features/options I have not found.
The advantage of using the bridge is that large batches of images can be quickly transformed (develop settings) so that the raw images can be improved efficiently, without having to open each file. It is important to be able to quickly process large amounts of raw files, then provide an option to preview quality to customers.
I found some tutorials, but they are for CS6 and CC, so I'm not sure that they are up-to-date. It would be useful only select CURRENT tutorials that are specific to the current version of any application. Also, I guess I don't understand why Adobe called Photoshop CC 2015, when we are in the first quarter of 2016.
Thus it is an effective option to create galleries of images with a larger preview that can be published online? (and also have options customizable, as page color, rights of author & author info)
Thank you

Output module Adobe Bridge is a download maybe option is all you need. Download and install bridge cc.

InDesign CC image in line with the text layout
I want to create a dialog box for an EPUB that seems similar to the tweets. It is a small image next to the text of each section of the dialog box.
Using an embedded image, it looks fine in InDesign and seems fine if I export to PDF - but when I export as an EPUB images appear above the text rather than to the aspect of it?
How can I fix? Is there a HTML or CSS solution that works for EPUB readers?
Select the image and use the Options of the Export Object in the menu object
Here is the indesign document
Here's the epub file
