  Hmmm...   Never tried, but I "think" it should work.   The reader will need to named exactly something on the new computer, as it was on the old.

  1. on the old computer, go to {user folder} / music/iTunes and move the files on the external hard drive.

  2. on the new computer in iTunes, go to Preferences > advanced and not select "copy of the file to the iTunes Media folder.

  3. always in this same window under "iTunes Media folder location", click on change.   Now select the location on the external hard drive, you have moved the files too.

  I transferred my iTunes library on an external hard drive (Seagate).  I would like to transfer CDs to laptop so that I can do it again on one of my iPod tunes.  There is no option for ' send to ' iTunes from the external hard drive.  I tried several times and failed.  I can listen to the music stored on the external hard drive but playing something other than iTunes.  I installed Win 10 (big mistake, but too late now) so I guess it's to play through their music app.  I also tried to send to the device Bluetooth drive external hard, but that no longer works.

  I plan to replace my Samsung laptop with a Macbook Pro I hope in the not-too-distant future, but for now, I'd like to tell me if it is possible to transfer iTunes from external hard drive to my laptop existing back.  He drives me crazy not less because you have probably guessed I am somewhat of a technophobe.

  An iTunes library is an index of media stored on your computer that has been added to the library. iTunes has to know where the files are located in order to transfer them to your device. If the albums in question do not appear in your library and then use the menu file > add folder to library to add them, and then either make them slide to the device if handled manually on the base, or adjust the synchronization settings as required, and synchronize.

According to what you have copied where in the place where exactly, and what you see currently listed, you may want to shift-Start-iTunes and open the database stored on the external hard drive or maybe copy the whole folder iTunes from the outside to the inside, or you can create a library laptop from scratch on the outside, if there only your media.

  If by "iTunes" on your iPad, tell you all of your songs and albums on the iPad, then Yes.

  Settings-> general-> storage & iCloud use-> storage-> Manage Storage-> music.  Press the button change, then on the other to 'all songs '.

  You can not remove the actual application in music or iTunes Store if that's what you're asking.

  Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! Looks like all the applications listed in iTunes to sync your iPhone while you move your music. I can understand wanting to be able to customize the content that is on your device. I'll be more than happy to help!

  From what you describe, appears it option "automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" to be enabled. To activate which turns off, select the Summary tab and uncheck the box next to this feature. Once you have done this, you should be able to navigate between sections of content / media specific to choose what you want to synchronize with your device. After you apply these changes, it should appear on your iPhone. See the following article for advice on the content of sync on your iPhone:

  You should also ensure that you have enabled the option to manually manage content, as described in this article:

  Force restart your iPhone.

  Necessary to create the share with the local network in the preferences of iTunes on the iMac. Then the Mac Air noted that there is now a drop-down menu at the top left of the screen (same level as the movie, tv, buttons etc. It has two options for me, one for my computer and one for the library, I shared the iMac. When I select this library, I can now see all film, television and music content stored on the Drobo.

  Looks like you have jailbroken your iPad.

  You download it from iTunes or the App Store? An iTunes download works with an IOS device, not a computer.

  Slide your cursor to the top, to the top of the screen and it will pull down the tab with dots red, yellow and green. Click on the green dot to exit full screen mode.
