Transfer of div tags PA with their content to another html file

I'm kinda a newbie, I created my first website in depth and having a problem with the AP div tags.
Initially, I created a template and used this model to create all my html code of the pages of content for the site.

Now, I had to make changes to certain items and rather than clicking on each html file and this change, I wonder if there is a better way.

I know that I can insert tags div of my stylesheet css to another html file but the problem is that it simply inserts the div without the content. Is there a way to bring in a div, including all the

content that is inside the div?

Thank you very much

Jason

I am not good with code, I mostly do work that in design, so I don't know what to do with this...

This will have to change if you're not bloody your forehead every day it bumping on the desktop.

What is a div?

It's a plan that contains elements (divs, images, forms, tables, etc., with CSS).

How do I get this in Dreamweaver?

View source in your browser. Copy all. In DW create an empty HTML page, click on mode code, select all and then paste. You now have it in DW. Review the code and CSS. See if you can figure out what to do.

    Although it is one absolute positioning like others, his behavior is dictated by its unique position in the code.

    It's the only div outside the div container - which means its parent container is theTag, which means that it moves with the window of the browser.

    It must be inside of the

    who is positioned. Then, it will be constrained by the div container, not the body tag and moves compared to others the divs.

    Change

    Width: 192px;
    position: absolute;

    You should be able to get #content to expand changing overflow: auto; to overflow: hidden; in the style of #content {...}.

    That may seem paradoxical, but overflow: auto; you will get scroll bars, not expansion. He might not even have you that, if you do not have a specified height. Overflow: hidden; should be #content stretch to lock up the sidebar divs.

  • Web design with AP div tags

    Hello Dreamweavers

    I am currently a tutorial, and the instructor is to design an entire web site using tags DIV PA, but not only that it deploys the % adding reagent website PA divs.

    I know that this method is wrong. I saw an other tutorials of instructors who said to keep away from this type of layout. But in this case, it seems to work well.

    PA DIV tags do not all mumbo jumbo and appear as a result remain in their positions without overlapping and causing a disaster page layout.

    So my question is why does he choose DIVS PA rather than the traditional div? would it be the tutorial I'm following are for the accelerated course of an easy start "how to build your first web site.

    Thus, it is the omission of the DIV TAGS, because its more difficult to explain how they work with CSS and the driftwood and margins and padding that lights etc?

    Thank you.

    Lynda.com library grew these last few months to include videos from other video tutorial companies. A few black sheep may have slipped into the barrel. Honestly, I don't know if any criteria Lynda uses for the revision of the content acquired in a merger.

    This 5-part tutorial covers a lot of material. Well worth doing.

    Also here is a link to my site that this code is for: http://www.jcodzombies.TK

    It should work. In addition, he is a model for two pages on this Web site. He is not too complicated and have done it before, but can't get out so I would like some advice from you guys.

    Thank you and I hope to see some answers soon.

    If you have Dreamweaver, why don't you just try one of their file > new... home pages? Maybe try 2 columns with header and footer? Or fair value each of your divs a different background color and try to play with things. You should be able to simply float your div 'nav' on the left. It is usually a good idea to create a div 'container' and put all your other div inside. Then the div 'container' your maximum width and value margin: 0 auto;

  • Banner rotation 2 - How do you add links to images with div tags?

    I have a banner rotating images and need to add links to each image. I used jQuery Simple of Jon Raasch slideshow, suggested here.

    When asked how to add links to each image, he wrote "a more robust solution is to wrap each image in a div and target the div instead of the images (or anchor points). This would allow you to add text, images, etc. »

    Thanks again.

    Looking at the last code you have posted you have changed the url links to the two scripts jquery to dev/jquery.fancy.box-1.3.0.js etc.. It seems that the scripts don't maybe not in this folder 'dev '?

    The images do not turn has nothing to do with the block of css code or where it is inserted in thesection of the code, but has everything to do with getting links to the correct jquery scripts.

  • The alignment of the div tags/content

    I have a div class = "wrapLinks" (unordered list) and a div class = "slider" (image carousel), and both are within the class = "content" div At some point, "wrapLinks" were in the top left of the content. After you create the div class is 'slider', the 'wrapLinks' have been 'pushed' down under the "cursor" that comes from taking up space at the top left of the content. Ideally, I want the two (aligned horizontally) inline with eachother. First, I tried to change the margin for both classes of div in the css, but that doesn't seem to work. I then tried to add "float: left;" to the "wrapLinks" and "float: right;" for the "cursor" in the css, but that also does not work. I also try to put a button on the cursor. I think that's what we call a 'floating div tag", but not sure. I feel that I write the CSS properly for each class of div.

    Any ideas on what I can / should I do?

    I have provided a reference image.

    One thing to mention. When you use float element must have a declared width.

    div {}

    float: left;

    Width: 600px;

    }

    The images are a little different because the width is implicit, but nevertheless, I thought I would say this.

  • Problem with the AP div tags... Help, please!

    I am very new to web design, and I learn a LOT here!

    So I created a Web site and did the layout with the AP div tags, not knowing exactly what they were, but at the point where they seem to give me the results I wanted...

    Now after all download and realize that it does not the way I expected, and did some research more than I understand they are the divs "absolute positioning", which is why most of my images and text don't stay centered with the main box when I view the page in a browser.

    Rather than repeat everything, I found this another option during a search: wrapping all AP divs in another that has the right properties (related lines of position and auto). I tried on a test page and it worked, but I tried exactly the same with one of my models and it does not work.

    Basically, I added a < div id = 'name here' > just below the < body > tag

    and then a < / div > just above of the < / body > tag

    then he gave a new style CSS (position: relative and margin: auto)

    Is someone can you please tell me why it does not work on my models? Or if you have a better solution to ensure that everything remains focused on my pages, I am totally open.

    (Please keep in mind, I know very little coding)

    Is my website: http://blissfullyeverafter.org/

    Thanks in advance!

    Basically, I added a

    just below of thetag

    and then a

    just above the tag

    then he gave a new style CSS (position: relative and margin: auto)

    A div tag is a block tag. Tags block fill the width of their container. Without attributing this div a width explicitly, it will extend from the left margin of the viewport to the right margin. You can't focus such a tag! The solution is to assign it a width. Then the car to the left and right margins will kick in and cause its Center as you wish.

    See you soon

    Hello

    Put the output of the command 'choose folder' in a variable (no need to open these folders).

    ----

    the tFolders value (choose a folder with default location "including one or more folders should purge?" guest "/ users/bryceratops / ' with multiple selections allowed)

    Tell application "Finder".

    Repeat with thisDir in tFolders

    remove items from thisDir - trash

    end repeat

    tell the end

    activate

    display the dialog buttons "purged records." {"ok"}

  • is there something wrong with having a HREF inside a < div > tag?

    I just realized that my href does not work (see below). Is there something wrong with having in a < div > tag:

    < div id = "logo" >

    < a href = "index.html" > < img src = "images/OWN - logo.gif" alt = "Logo of Nutrition optimum Wellness" width = "276" height = "170" border = "0" / > < /a >
    < / div >

    THE CSS is in another file and looks like this:

    {div #logo
    position: absolute;
    left: 34px;
    top: 44px;
    z-index:-1;
    Width: 276px;
    height: 170px;
    -moz-background-clip:-1;
    }

    For example... If you go to the next page is not WHY NUTRITION WELL-BEING OPTIMAL logo (top left corner) a link to index.html?

    Thank you, - bill

    Nothing wrong with having a href in a div; It is the usual way to do it.

    But give your div #logo a z-index of the least throws a it back behind the plane of the photo and inaccessible to your cursor hovering.

    Lose the z-index:-1; and you'll be fine.
