Transfer of registry to registry

I'm trying to make a program to simulate a computer.  However, I just started and I am running into a problem.  I have created two instances, CPU.vi and flip flop.vi.  When I add a flop.vi flip in the CPU as a Subvi, everything works perfectly.  But when I go to add multiple instances of the same user interface, they seem the same data space and all do the same thing.  Please take a look at the attached VI to see if you can understand what I did wrong.

You must go to file / properties VI / execution and make your Subvi reentrant.

  • is it possible and safe to open the registry of Windows 98 into XP RegEdit on a system dual boot?

I have reinstall some stuff on the side of a system XP dual boot, I found the instructions to transfer the configuration to a new machine, and these instructions include export the registry keys to a .reg file. Is there a way I can save myself a few reboots if I find more like that and you open the registry of Windows 98 on drive C with Regedit in XP?

If necessary, I can easily access the regedit win98 since Windows 98 program is on drive C and XP on the D. I don't want to corrupt the registry win98se, if I try to open it under XP.

    The procedure would be

Open the registry of Windows 98SE.
Export the key to a .reg file
    Close the damper of win98.
copy the key in the .reg file in the registry of xp in the normal way.

    SlickRCBD salvation,

Unfortunately you cannot open regedit (registry editor) for the operating system Windows 98 to computer of Windows XP that you will not be able to access the same. You must start the operating system to access its registry settings.

Note: Microsoft does not have the responsibility to transfer the registry settings of the operating system to another. Op can do on its own risk.

  • Is it possible that I can transfer all my Windows Setup disc to another while retaining my registry and let my games installed on the original drive?

I want to do is transfer my installation of Windows on a smaller hard drive while leaving my games on the current hard drive. I would also like to keep my registry so I need to reinstall the programs/games as little as possible. Thank you!

    It won't happen!

Even if you succeeded in transfer Windows to another drive open programs that remain on the other hard drive will not be able to open.

When programs have been installed, the locations have been written to the Windows registry would know where to find them.

Your route only for what you want to do, is install Windows on the smaller disk and reinstall all your programs to the other disk.

  • Dell Inspiron6000 / Win XP SP3: screen blue C0000218 (registry file failure) error - HELP!

    Hello.

I'm a complete newbie to all this so please keep it simple for me :)

My laptop Dell Inspiron 6000 (purchased in 2006) has the blue screen of death.  He's going through the process initial priming and then at the start of the Win XP black screen with the blocks moving on the screen to complete darkness for about 10 seconds then blue screen.

The initial error was as above with the title, as it reported:

The registry cannot load the hive file:

    \systemroot\system32\config\default

or its log or alternation.  It is damaged, missing, or not accessible in writing.

Laptop and then thrown out of physical memory and remained in that State until I put in now the power button power off / stop.

    What I've done so far:

1 tried to start in safe mode - will not start to last known good config etc or in any safe mode - it lists various programs and then stops at themup.sys file then possibly a blue screen.

    2. run the tree of symptom diagnosis for "can not boot the OS " - failed the following tests:

    DRIVE IDE S/N [serial ]

    read (error code 0F00:0244 ),

check (data error impossible to fix error code 0F00:1 A 44 msg block 346292 or media is write protected )

Passed the following tests: device self test, search, SMART, launch control (slowed down) unit, stop the command unit (standby mode).

    3. with a Dell technician on the phone, we did the hard drive (DST short status test) diagnostic tests and the message returned was:

Unit 0: Status of the IDE failed status byte = 64 control code = 1 Msg no = no additional sense information.

The Dell technician has determined that the hard drive was not so I need a new.  Is this true? Could there be any other cause?

    4. run a Test Express via diagnosis - on confidence Test it reportedcode 0F00:1344 with Error Msg: block incorrigible data error 344575 or media is media is protected .  Reinforced the message with several blocks - basically all one of 367933 to 346292.

    1. A few weeks ago I remember an error message (think blue screen came then as well, but not as shown above), then it auto ran chkdsk, said something to be dirty, completed and started normally.
    2. Some time ago (6 months), I did a "full backup of the system" through windows in which I myself remember a section of the disk has been partitioned "in case of emergency.  Plug my Maxtor hard drive on my desktop, I can see the backup and explore folders - one is called windows and there a subfolder called to repair ; Another is called 'State system' with folders calledboot files , COM + registration database class , register .  Is there a file called 'default' in there that I could replace the defective one with?
    3. Windows XP is professional, version 2002 with Service Pack 3.  I don't have disks, OEM installed.

    What I would do:

Of course, to fix the computer, but as always, to retrieve the data I have on it (a lot!) as well as the programs/applications I have on it.  A friend said use what we call "hirems mini xp"-apparently it starts from a cd and looks like a windows safe mode, then copy all data on my external Maxtor drive?  Can I get to a point where I could restart windows normally and do a full save / copy data/applications?

Can I get another hard drive (assuming that the Dell technician is correct in that it doesn't have / does not) and transfer all the files from the old hard drive on my Maxtor external drive, then on the new hard drive (I read somewhere in these forums, you can get a kind of "box" usb Link the old hd once out , the new hd once in the laptop - it is a better option? Where can I get this kit?

I would appreciate any help/tips on how to recover from this situation.

    Thank you very much

    Hi again.

A friend (an very teccie one!) had a look and found that the head had crashed into the disc.  He had not received a blow as it was probably caused by my turn off the card in the stop - I would have thought the transfer of energy from the battery car would not have had impact, but we live and learn lol - won't do it again.  Ordered new hard drive...

    Hope that helps

  • After installing Avast AV my computer cannot load Vista. HE continues to go to the Startup Repair, and it gives me an error of windows registry.

    ORIGINAL TITLE: Vista problems

Hi I was wondering if I can get a few hekp with this question. After installing Avast AV my computer cannot load Vista. HE continues to go to the Startup Repair, and it gives me an error of windows registry. I idid a debbug and had no errors on the disc. Safe mode does not work. I tried restore to earlier date and nothing, went to the command prompt and type chkdsk /F. c: here's what I got the chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. CHKDSK may run if this volume is dismounted first. ALL OPEN GERE to this VOLUME WOULD then BE INVALID. And then he asks me if I want to force a disassembly. Press o and had. Windows check the file system and found no problem. The last line says failure to transfer the messages saved in the log of the events with the 50 State. It's all I have.

    Hello

What is the exact error message related to the windows registry?

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:

    Method 1:

Remove all external factors with the exception of the keyboard and mouse.and restart the computer and check if the problem occurs.

    Method 2:

Restart the computer in last known good configuration (LKGC) and check if the problem persists. Follow the steps in the link:

  • My cd/dvd drive disappeared when I put in a DVD that was obviously not intended to get into my laptop. Corrupted registry?

I used a machine to transfer the tapes from VCR to DVD.  I went to see if my cell phone would play the DVD.  He not only would not play but the whole disc was wiped out by 'My Computer'.  I found it elsewhere on the hard drive, but Windows says that the registry is damaged, no driver may take place.  What I didn't say what this means and what should I do about it.

  • Vista has a corrupted registry and I can't start

My dilemma is that after having replaced just the motherboard, installing Vista on a RAID 1 array will not start.  I tried the Vista DVD recovery with repair system nothing helps.  I get just the message, file: \Windows\system32\config\system status: 0 x 0000225 Info: Windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or corrupted.

I also tried to restart via simple hard drives in the config of the IDE, but each of them also reported the same message.  What I have to reinstall Vista or can I try to retrieve the system registry file using the method described in the Article ID: 307545, "How to recover from a corrupted registry that prevents the start of Windows XP."

I think I'll have to reinstall Vista on a new RAID array (two new hard drives are pending) and if I do, the files and Settings Transfer Wizard work from all my work one of the hard drives mirrored existing?  I plan to insert one in a box outside and finished the clean installation of Vista, transfer the content.  I've never done it, that's why I ask questions.  To be sure, it's the right thing to do.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    AK handyman,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

You need to reinstall to a new RAID array, there is no way to repair the existing installation once the motherboard has been changed.  The RAID has been broken.  Once you reinstall Vista on a new table, you should be able to transfer your old files if you put one of the drives in an external case.

Let us know if we can help you.

  • Cannot remove trojan apparent - continues to add registry entries

I am working on a Dell 2400 that was not (until recently) updated or properly protected with a firewall / virus protection.

I tried the copy of the demo of Norton Antivirus and it had detected I think:
Trojan.fakeavalert and another who was virtumundo trojan.vundo or Trojan (I forgot the name)

Recently, I uninstalled NAV installed the following:

ZoneAlarm Internet Security (and all updated)
    AdAware 2008 - free version (and it's also up-to-date)

The two ZoneAlarm & AdAware run fairly clean except for the cookies, etc. (low priority stuff)

My problem right now is that there is something that is adding entries to the registry (even in safe mode), and it causes many web pages to pop up in IE7 or FireFox.
The entries that I find in the registry are:
    \HKLM\software\microsoft\windws\currentversion\run
    Rundll32.exe "c:\windows\system32\rulufutu.dll",a"
    Rundll32.exe "c:\windows\system32\piyudijo.dll",a"
    Rundll32.exe "c:\windows\system32\kitehuvu.dll",a"

When I delete these entries (even in safe mode), they are added in a few seconds.

Try scans with both of these programs in the following order:

Please disable other security software that may cause conflicts with the scans. (Remember to enable it later.)

Instructions on how to do that are HERE.

Please download for your desktop Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware here or here

Double-click on mbam - setup.exe to install the application.

    • Make sure that a check mark is placed next to the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and launch of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, and then click Finish.
    • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    • Once the program has loaded, select "perform quick scan", then click scan.
    • The analysis may take some time at the end, so please be patient.
    • When the scan is complete, click OK, and then view the results to view the results.
    • Make sure that everything is checked
      Click Remove selected.
    • End of disinfection, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart. (See additional Note)
    • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

    Additional notes:
If MBAM finds a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompt, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection, if asked to restart the computer, you can do so immediately.
    * If you cannot download or install MBAM on your computer, see if you can use the computer to a friend or family member to download MBAM. Use this link to update here to manually download the update. Once downloaded, rename the Setup file "mbam - setup.exe" to something like "catchjunk.exe". Copy the installation file and the update on a CD or a flash drive file. Transfer the file on the infected computer. Install the "catchjunk.exe" file, and then run the update so that you get the current definitions. After that, run a full scan of the system and select to have the program REMOVE everything it finds.

    * If you need to re - install MBAM but problem by reinstalling, try using the MBAM Cleanup utility by downloading from http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-clean.exe

Download and scan with Super Anti-Spyware free for individuals. It is available HERE:
    * Double-click on SUPERAntiSypware.exe and use the default settings for the installation.
    * An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click this icon to start the program.
    * If it is asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes." If this isn't the case, update the definitions before scanning them by selecting 'Check for Updates. (If you have problems downloading updates, download and unzip them from heremanually.)
    * Under "Configuration and preferences, click Preferences .
    * Click the scanning control tab.
    * Under Scanner Options make sure the following is checked (leave all other non controlled):

    Close browsers before scanning.
    Search the rejected.
    Terminate memory threats before quarantining.

    * Click on the "Close" button to leave the control center screen.
    * Back on the main screen, under "Scan for harmful software" click Scan your computer.
    * On the left, make sure you check C:\Fixed drive.
    * On the right, under "Complete Scan", choose perform complete scan.
    * Click 'Next' to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
    * Once the scan is finished, a Scan summary box will appear with potentially dangerous elements that have been detected. Click on 'OK '.
    * Make sure that everything is checked, and click "next".
    * A notification will appear this "quarantine and removal is complete. Click 'OK' and then click on the 'Finish' button to return to the main menu.
    * If it is requested if you want to restart, click 'yes '.

If that does not solve the problem, maybe it would be good according to a journal of control on the malware removal Forum.

Be sure to read the instructions at the top of the forum.

  • Viet Nam, registry and transform property, Alienware

    Dear Dell reference

    Let me expain my situation:

I'm living in Viet Nam (Asia) and my cousin lives in CANADA. I always want an ALIENWARE then when I save enough money, I asked my cousin bought me a new ALIENWARE 17 2015 at BEST BUY CANADA. now, the laptop arrived at my cousin's House and will be delivered to me in the next month.

I have read the Dell warranty policy and realize that I need to transfer the property this ALIENWARE in Vietnam so I use this laptop in Viet Nam.

Could you show me the process for receiving the registry property and enjoy my ALIENWARE with the support of the excellent warranty in VIet Nam.

    Thank you and best regards.

    Your loyal customer.

You cannot transfer the service tag and warranty to the Viet Nam because Dell has never sold Alienware product to the Viet Nam. Reference Dell Viet Nam can only support what he sells (Inspiron, Vostro, XPS). All support warranty will pass through your cousin to the Canada.

  • You have a program or script that cleans up the database registry for a cleaning of the installation?

I have a new laptop. Loaded Firefox, then had to uninstall. After the new installation, the application does not start. No error messages / reports are generated. I followed the steps in uninstalling; cleaned %AppData%, but also the installation directories. Next step is the registry.

Did you remove the Firefox program folder?

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and allow your firewall to ask permission to get access full and unrestricted, again to install for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

I have open all files with the extension *. JS, but none of them have the setting to create the folder I also look into each INI file in the application of mozilla firefox, but no info found more.
I use the ORCA MSI Editor to reveal the registry keys, but I'm not sure because many of them leads to the Mozilla folder but either none for the Appdata roaming or Local.
Please let me know if you have some tips or the files I need to edit to change this name to perhaps MOZ2015

  • I am deploying Firefox ESR and need to know if plugins read the registry can be activated by the force on all computers.

I'm deploying Firefox ESR 31.X to all the computers in my company. We have plugins for security that I need to have forcibly running on each computer so that users cannot turn it off. The main example is McAfee SiteAdvisor. Firefox detects the plugin based on the HKLM\Software\MozillaPlugins registry key. The plugin provides a path to the location of the DLL in the McAfee program folder. Is it possible that I can put this plugin to always be activated?

You can use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock the prefs or specify new values (default).

Put a local file - settings.js in the folder defaults\pref also the file prefs.js - channel where to specify using mozilla.cfg.

    pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
    pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0);

These functions can be used in the mozilla.cfg file:

defaultPref();	// set new default value
pref(); // set pref, allow changes in current session
lockPref();	// lock pref, disallow changes

    See:

You must set the pref (s) of plugin.state related to 2 always activate a plugin.

    • lockPref ("plugin.state.npmcffplg", 2);
    • plugin. State (0: never activate; 1: ask to activate; 2: always activate)

It seems that the only way to register on this site is to ask a question, even if I want to just anwser one another. Seems backwards isn't it?

To register when you want to reply,

    1. Click the Post a reply down.
    2. It scrolls a little to show that "you must login to your account to respond to messages", then click on this link.
    3. On the next page, click on the button to see what you can do to help .
    4. Click reply to support questions in the forum.
    5. Click on the button I want to register .

Probably there is no direct link with the registry because a question requires no registration, and that's what most people want to do.

  • Why after an update my Norton 360 registry cleaning is a registry key not valid?

This time was the in update for Adobe Reader, but I saw it with some other updates as well. I noticed this problem in my computer after that microsoft has passed to outlool.com. From there, I started to get the registry changes any time I open microsoft Explorer. This is the reason why I switched to firefox. My registry now remains unchanged any time I open Firefox, but it continues to be a problem sometimes when I run the updates. Normally, I check my record before and after the execution of the update. I contacted and complained to microsoft, but I never received a satisfactory answer.
My computer runs on windows XP.

    Please notify.
    Thank you

It is not really possible to answer this question without knowing the keys to register in question. Have you tried to ask Symantec why their product keeps complaining about registry keys?
