Transfer of Vista on a new computer
Hi, I had to buy a new computer because my laptop after having fried it is motherboard after less than 3 years of use occasional, not happy, been out and bought a new office tower to find that there is no operating system. Still less happy! Says I have to buy a new one. I feel fuzzy. I thought I bought a license to use Vista and as such would like to know if it is possible to transfer to my new computer and how. Thanks in anticipation for any advice.
Do you think you have purchased a license of Vista, or you know? Don't remember we pay for it? Makes a big difference. If you bought a retail copy, Yes, you can install it on the new computer (if the computer will actually have drivers available for this).
You would install it the same way that you install on the other computer.
If it was OEM and came with the computer, it is related to the computer and cannot be installed on another.

I got a new computer (an old dies) new a windows vista and I have to disable the old computer before I load the same copy of Vista on my new computer. If yes how can I do this?
If Vista is preinstalled on your OLD computer, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.
The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptopIf a license of Vista at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.A single license is a single Installation.
If it is a retail Vista license, read the information on the clean install and then reactivate it:

Excellent. Here is the link to the forum of Acrobat: Acrobat
FYI, when you reply to these forums by email. You'll want to remove all your info or it will get scratched and spammers will do their thing with her. A mod will probably be along at some point to remove it from your last post, but you can try to change the message yourself before that.

I bought a new computer and installed a new version of dreamweaver. I copied all my files from dreamweaver in the new computer. Now when I open my files and want to preview in the web, it gives me this message - cannot display this page.
How do I transfer my files to the new computer and they work without starting from scratch.

Looks like you're here next to site definitions (which are not part of your site from the old machine folders).
On the new computer, go to Site > new Site
In local news, set the root folder space by navigating to the new location of one of your sites. Give it a name under Remote Info, drop into your FTP info, then save it.

Laughing out loud
A single license is a single Installation.
How many times can I install Windows on my computer before I have to activate Windows again? You can reinstall Windows on the same computer as many times as you want because activation pairs product key of Windows with information about your computer hardware. If you make a significant hardware change, you might need to activateWindows once again

Nice day.
I want to make a clone of the (c :) drive Reader of my current computer using a program called "EaseUS Todo Backup" if my current computer stops a day, that I want to install this image on a new computer. This software allows an image must be installed on another computer with different hardware etc. Anyone has experience with this. Will I have problems with the license. Can I use the license to the new computer or old, or if I have to buy another license. Would be nice if there is someone out there who actually did this.
Thank you, Jim.I use Todo Backup to reimage computers and I have to fix each time of installation. It has an option called a sector-by-sector backup who could make it bootable when you create the image and restore it on another computer, but it is not guaranteed, it will work, in order to prepare to re - install Windows 7 if necessary.
With respect to the transfer of the license, you can transfer them to another computer if its full version or upgrade retail license. The computer to which you are transferring the upgraded version must have a license of previous qualifying installed such as Windows XP or Vista or even Windows 7.
If the copy of Windows 7 you are trying to image came pre-loaded on your computer, the answer is no, you will need to purchase a new license. It's called an OEM license:
The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:
-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft
-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on
-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system
What is OEM software? :
