Transfer the license of Vista on my new computer

I have Window Vista, I bought a few years ago on my old computer. I heard, that it would be possible to use my old Code on my new computer because I've only used once!

Is it true that I should be able to use this Code produces up to 3 times on my own personal computer?

I bought and downloaded online.

Also how can I find the Product Code I used?

Thank you!

Laughing out loud

A single license is a single Installation.

How many times can I install Windows on my computer before I have to activate Windows again?

You can reinstall Windows on the same computer as many times as you want because activation pairs product key of Windows with information about your computer hardware. If you make a significant hardware change, you might need to activateWindows once again

If Vista is preinstalled on your computer, or you purchased a download OEM license, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

If a license of Vista at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.

A single license is a single Installation.

  • Our office has 10 licenses for Adobe Acrobat Pro.  One of our computers crashed so we want to deactivate the license and reinstall on a new computer.  How can we check the serial number on Acrobat Pro installed on each computer to determine which series

Our office has 10 licenses for Adobe Acrobat Pro.  One of our computers crashed so we want to deactivate the license and reinstall on a new computer.  How can we check the serial number on Acrobat Pro installed on each computer to determine what serial number is now unused?  I don't want to die with the computer software

    Hi John,.

It is not possible to disable the license from one computer crashed or possible to check which serial number has been used on computer because they are encrypted.

A retail license is good to be installed on 2 machines. I checked your account and found 4 different serial numbers of Acrobat registered for your account.

It is always suggested to buy a volume license, if you have more than 2 machines instead of buy 4 different serial numbers.

I checked all the serial numbers entered and you have sufficient activation count remaining to cover all your machines.

    Kind regards

I have a full retail Windows 7, I want to install it on another computer and transfer the license (activation) to the new computer, so it expires / turns off on the old computer. How can I do this?

I asked this elsewhere, but only people tell me how to 'break' the activation, I don't want to violate the law, I want legally transfer the license to the new computer.

    Click Start, type: CMD
    Right-click on CMD
    Click on run as administrator
At the command prompt, type: slmgr.vbs - upk

Press enter, this will uninstall the product key of the computer and to the evaluation mode, you are now free to use it on another computer. If you experience problems, try to activate by phone:
    Activate Windows 7 manually:
    1. click on start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    2. press enter on your keyboard

    3. Select your country.
    4. Select the telephone activation option and brace yourself for a real person.

The mode currently of the installation process, you will need to be activated or it will go into reduced functional mode. You have the option to install another version or edition of Windows or get a product key for it. Alternatively, you can put the system as follows:

    To format drive:

    1. Insert the DVD of Windows 7
    2. restart your computer
    3. When asked if you want to boot from your DVD player, do it.

  • Transfer the license windows 8 on a new laptop

    Hello

Two years ago, I bought a laptop with Windows 7 installed on it. Later, I bought a license of windows 8 and had the dvd in return. Now, I want to buy another laptop and transfer that license to the new laptop. There is however a problem, my old laptop died. I can't turn it on at all in order for me to follow the steps to make the transfer of license. Which option I need to find my license so that I can use it on another laptop? Am currently based in Kenya, but the computer laptop and windows 8 were purchased in the United States. What are my options now?

    Manou

    Thank you

Now my question is given that my other laptop is ruined and will not continue to read, activation of phone still work?

As long as its is no longer in use on the old machine, which it is not since you say the machine is crumbling, then phone activation will solve the problem when you upgrade the other machine:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then clickrun, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • transfer the license from vista to windows 8

Previously the company that I worked bought the creative suite CS2, (mainly I use photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver, indesign, and acrobat pro). It was a legitimate legal purchase and I was the only designer, then it was purchased because of me.  I often worked from home so I installed a second copy on my pc at home in addition to my work pc, which I understand was also legal.  I am now looking at my home pc to upgrade vista to windows 8 and would like to transfer the software.  Is this possible?

original title: ultimate new Home Premium upgrade

I have an intermittent failure of M/B on an ultimate system 7 Home Premium level. I bought a new machine with Home Premium. Can I use my Ultimate Upgrade for the new ultimate state machine please.

I must now transfer programs and files to the new machine, but not the operating system as the new machine came loaded with 7 Home Premium, to off the shelf. Transfer will include MS Office.

  • How can I change the license to CS6 to a new computer to be updated when the former disappeared.

How can I re CS6 license to a new computer to be updated when the former disappeared. I work in a secure facility and all computers do not have an internet connection. I'm used to be able to activate offline. but now activation invalid response code invalid serial No. says offline. I was on a chat with someone at Adobe, I guess, and they said that they did not support offline activation more. So, if I can't activate my copy 7 cs6 my company is thousands of dollars.  Can anyone help

    Joe

Consider that it is licensed to the company? If so your IT people should have a way to apply activation during the installation code, but my IT group did this, so I don't really know details. I know that Adobe has stopped support for licenses of the company last June, I think. However, you should be able to get an answer on how to do this, since you have paid for the software. I will pass this message on the forum of company CS to see if anyone knows more than the person with whom you spoke.

  • Can I uninstall a copy of Photoshop Elements on a computer and use the license for installation on a new computer?

How to transfer a license for Photoshop and the premier items from one computer to another?

Yes, or you can have it installed on both.

You can install and activate the perpetual software (purchased) two computers of the same type (mac or pc), as long as you use it on one at a time. (multi product platform can be installed on the pc and mac platforms)

It is advisable to disable the software on a computer on which it will be is most used, especially before giving away or selling the computer or reformat the hard disk. Please see this link: How to disable the software.  This frees an activation if you have the option to install the software on another computer at any time.

  • If I put a new motherboard and Cpu in my computer it will affect the license of vista 64

I thought to upgrade my computer with a new motherboard and processor will this affect my license of vista, I guess I'll have to reinstall after I change them.

    OEM is OEM

"If Vista is preinstalled on your computer, or you purchased an OEM/license disk, they are both classified as an OEM license and are not transferable.

    you are the System Builder

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop.

This is why the OEM license you bought was cheaper than a retail sales license

and Microsoft normally class the motherboard as the heart of the machine.

you need to reinstall vista as the existing hard drive installed vista installed the old motherboard drivers

You can try the tips I gave you in the 1st answer, if you have problems
