Transfer photos from a backup file?

My computer has been replaced recently and all my documents and photographs have been transferred and are found in a backup file on my new computer. Photos of 5000 + were all in different folders and subfolders. When I transferred to 9 elements, however, the photos were all in chronological order rather than in folders that I originally placed in. How can I transfer photos that will remain in the files that have already been marked?

Click on the Display button (close to upper-right in the menu Organizer) and select display folder location.

There is certainly some options, you can take.  If the two computers are on the same network connection home, you could do it quite easily on the network.  Or the low-tech plugin is a USB flash drive, open the folder and drag image files, then take this drive on the new computer and plug it in and copy.  Last but not least, you can store your files on a synchronization as OneDrive or Google Drive service, and photos on a single computer would automatically transfer instantly to the other computer (which is also very handy as a backup).

  • Transfer photos from PC to iMac

    Hello

Two years ago, I decided to scan and put all our family photos in digital format (some will to the 1890s), which I just finished several months ago.  I used a Windows operating system and the PC to manage the process. Recently, I poured out my Windows and PC hardware for an iMac and MacBook Pro.

The last month I have transferred all my photos from my PC to my iMac system.  But when the transfer took place in the Organization of the files I had in place has been lost - some of the pictures that were in the displaced and slept files in folders, others are just grouped in one section.  I had a folder for each year.  First few years had only a few pictures.  A few years had both single photos and pictures inside the files.

I tried to figure out how my iMac "reads" and organizes the photos, but have not been able to understand.

Can someone tell the best way to transfer photos from a Windows system to an iMac system and maintain the integrity of the file structure?

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you

    Lou

You probably do not use the Photos provided with your computer, app if you were then you would have found Photos for Mac organizes your photos how you want. I strongly suggest to use Photos to store your photos, organize them and when it is necessary to improve them.

You can also find many tutorials for the Photos if you do a bit of research, even Youtube has free tutorials.

best way to transfer photos from the iMac on external hard drive

If you are mobile loose photo files, drag them in here and if you are going to be removed from the inside, keep a copy on a second disc.

If you move an iPhoto, Aperture, or photo library, make sure that the external hard drive contains a volume to the Mac OS Extended format, drag the library there, launch the application with the key Option key, choose it, confirm that it works and if you are going to be remove from the inside, keep a copy of it on a second disc.

    Hello, manoj0910.

    Please visit Apple support communities.

Looks like you can't synchronize the pictures located on your external drive.  I need a little more information about your configuration to provide a better answer.  However, we will try to sync your photos through the section of the file through the article below.  You just need to direct iTunes to where your photos are stored on your external drive.

If your photos are in a folder

    1. Select "Choose a folder" from the context menu.
    2. Choose the folder where you store your photos.
    3. Click on apply.

You can arrange photos in subfolders to create photo albums.

  • How to transfer photos from pictures to Dropbox?

How can I transfer photos from pictures to Dropbox? I used to be able to drag just when I used iPhoto, but since the upgrade for Photos is not. Anyone has any ideas, other than to return to iPhoto?

    Thank you.

    Kathy

Pictures interface is a little interesting... up in the title bar, there is a set of arrows that comes of years the collection and finally moments. You cannot select an image until you are at times. Once you are at times, you can select an image and it can drag on the desktop. However, I suggest that rather than drag on the desktop that you select the image (or images), and then select export on the file menu. This option allows you to make choices on the photo (s), including where you want to put, if you do not want to put them in a subfolder and a few other nice options.

  • Transfer Photos from an SD card

I know 'how' to transfer photos from your computer to an SD card, but why aren't the pictures that have been transferred to the SD card displayed in the order that they were transferred?

I've transferred the photos to the SD card in a specific order, but they have been 'scrambled' when I saw on the digital camera, not that I transferred them or alphabetically by name of file on the computer.

Photos on the computer are displayed in alphabetical order, regardless of when each picture was transferred to the computer, but how the photos posted on a SD card?

I use a camera Kodak Easyshare and Windows XP, if that makes a difference.

If all goes well, someone knows what I mean.

Windows cannot really control it.  Looks like your camera is ignoring the alphabetical sorting of file name and possibly using another sorting system (maybe by the time stamp date change on the file?).

But unfortunately, the solution will lie entirely with the camera itself.

  • Cannot transfer photos from the camera...

Cannot transfer photos from the camera... Just recently, during the month, Windows XP does not recognize both our Sony A100 camera or card reader when you try to copy photos in a computer file - it has always in the past.  Interestinly, there recognzies the photos and can do a slide show of the card reader or camera, but does not recognize them when you try to transfer using Windows scanneer and camera Assistant.

    Hi Byron,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft community

From your problem description, I understand that the digital camera is not getting recognized on Windows XP. Please let me know if you do not experience this problem.

You did changes to the computer before the show?

I suggest you try the following steps:

Method 1: Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows
    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/hardware_device_problems/en-us

Method 2: A digital camera is not recognized in Windows Vista or Windows XP

Hope this information is helpful and let us know if you need help with Windows in the future. We will be happy to help.

  • How can I transfer photos from a canon 7 d to an ipad 2

How can I transfer photos from a canon 7 d to an ipad 2

Apple has two accessories... There is a SD card reader (but not a CF card reader).  There is also a USB cable.  You will need to use the USB cable from the camera to fix Apple adapter (a dongle, short which attaches to the iPad and provides a USB port and it is important to note that the USB port adatper was designed specifically for cameras only (and I've used this... it works.))

IPad applications will probably not be able to open your RAW images directly (it would depend on the app of course).  This means that you must either shoot JPEG or shoot RAW + JPEG, so that you can import JPEG files.

  • HP all in one 23-p114: transfer photos from IPhone to external hard drive

How to transfer my photos from my IPhone on an external hard drive using Windows 8?  I have synced my photos to ITunes as this is a new computer.

    Hi liljoe,

While HP does not support Apple products, there are tons of tutorials online on how to import photos from an iPhone to Windows.

There is nothing special, that you should have to do to connect the two together.

Look at this wiki on how to connect... 4 ways to transfer Photos from an iPhone to a computer - wikiHow

How the 4th on this wiki, where you choose to "import unlimited", you would navigate to your external hard drive (that you also connected via the USB port ) is the place where to download to.

Just like you would copy and paste files anywhere in Windows.

Is that what you wanted to know?

MY PC WORKS WITH VISTA - HAVE A TABLET (NEXUS 7) HOW CAN I TRANSFER PHOTOS FROM MY PC TO THE NEXUS 7?

    Hi John,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community and we give the opportunity to help you.

If you have any documents on your old computer, you must copy the files like documents or photos on your USB Flash drive first. Connect the USB stick or external hard drive to Nexus 7 tablet and manually copy photos or documents.

Alternatively, you can use SkyDrive to access any file from anywhere. For more information, see the following article:

Insert your memory card into your Media Player...

    Reach... Start / computer...

What is the memory card show as a drive letter? (if your Media Player)
has several slots, there will be several "hard drives" listed... the
SD card will be one of them)

If_Yes_right click on the drive letter correct and in the menu... Choose...
Open... now you should see the directory of the memory card or to explore.

From there you should be able to drag and drop or copy and paste the
files in a folder on your hard drive.
