Transfer to a Bachelor of windows 7 to a new computer

I would like to know if it is possible to transfer a Bachelor of windows 7 to a new computer and how difficult it is to do.

Information to help with my question:

  • The current computer that has the license of windows 7 is an Asus G74S laptop
  • I upgraded the version of windows to Windows 7 Home laptop to Windows 7 Professional with a product code and iso provided by microsoft with their students and students.
  • The product ID listed for this version of Windows 7 is not an OEM, and I can post the complete product if necessary just to be 100% sure ID.
  • I always have the product code for the license, that I intend to transer.

Any help with this would be very useful.

You must first return the laptop for Windows 7 Home Premium, then you will have the right to transfer the license of Windows 7 Professional:

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.

------------------------------------

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

Once you have done this, you can install or upgrade to another computer using the Windows 7 Professional license, you may need to reactivate by phone, because it was already in use:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

(2) press the ENTER"" key.

(3) select your "country" in the list.

(4) choose the option "activate phone".

(5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

(6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

    Thank you

It is the major limitation of the OEM software that it can be installed on a PC. The COA label will confirm whether the license is OEM. A number of elements can be replaced in a PC in the way of repair, but only if exactly the same model of Council can this be exchanged.

Even if you transfer the drive to the new PC would not authenticate because of the change of equipment, and it would be unlikely to to re-authenticate online.

If the label is not OEM and you have a retail package, so it can be transferred.

It is relatively simple as you use and that you want to use WLM.

You will need to copy a folder from where it is (the old installation) to another place where you know it will be (for example on your desktop)

The folder is c:\users\your user name\app data (if it is not there, see the note below) \local\microsoft\

At that point you will see a folder named oddly enough "windows live mail" copy on your desktop

If you don't see the app data because it is invisible atm.  To make it visible, you need to go to your control panel > folder options > view > change to hidden folders (see figure)

Once you have mail backed up on your desktop (or where ever) drag the folder from the desktop to the location for the new WLM (once again we C;-... just like above).  Just make sure that WLM does not run in time.  What wont be imported, it of passwords and rules.

Accounts and data should now be in the new WLM when you open it.

I have a problem of my catalogs of PES 10 displacement and the photos attached from my old computer with Windows XP on my new computer with Windows 10.  How can I keep my original photo folders tree arrangement when I restore backups of catalog on the new machine?

The problem arises because Windows 10 is equipped with a new tree structure with new names for many of its branches.  Tree of Windows XP starts to Local Disk (C), and then does the following: Documents and settings, Susan [it's me the user], My Documents, SusanPhotos (the folder that I created that contains my photos) and then several subfolders and subfolders with my photos grouped by theme, for example the Puglia Italy and Italy-Roma.  My new computer Windows 10 has a different tree and different names for a large number of branches from early on: OS (C) [instead of Local Disk (C)], users, Susan, Documents [instead of the old My Documents], SusanPhotos [what I created] and then the subfolders and so on.

Because of the new tree and the new names of the branch, I can't find a way to restore my PES 10 catalogues and photos attached to them to where I want to that they.  What I want to do is put the files from SusanPhotos to the Windows 10 Documents folder so that I find myself with the following tree, essentially the same as what I had on my old machine: OS (C), users, Documents, Susan, SusanPhotos, then the original subfolders with my photos.  Apparently 10 PSE does not allow me to move folders of photos in the Organizer, so that the pictures stay connected.

PES 10 offers 3 options for restoration: Original, personalized and customized, keeping the original structure of the file.  Here's what happens to each:

    (1) original creates new folders with the old names and the structure of the tree, parallel to the tree Windows 10 has instead of inside the tree Windows 10.

    (2) custom with the original structure of the file is the restaurant where I want (within the SusanPhotos) but retains all branches superfluous-instant initial tree of Windows XP, production: BONES (C), users, Documents, Susan, SusanPhotos, Documents and settings [carried over from the old computer], Susan, My Documents, SusanPhotos, Roma-Italy and Italy-Puglia and so on.

    (3) custom (without checking the original file structure box) makes every SusanPhotos but without any organization: OS (C),..., SusanPhotos, Italy-Puglia and Italy-Roma and all other folders at the same level instead of in their original nested groups with subfolders.

The first two methods you end up with a tree that is chaotic with two parallel trunks or a single trunk but with several redundant layers carried over from the old computer.  The third ends with no tree at all.

One solution would be to make a Custom Restore with the original structure of the file and then use PSE10 to move the folders that I would like.  However, AFAIK, PSE10 I cannot move entire folders of photos, only of individual pictures.  With thousands of photos in hundreds of cases, the time required for the movement of individual pictures is prohibitive.  PSE10 allows me to move the catalog folder, but apparently not the folders containing the photos.

The result is that at this time I have no solution to my problem.  Can you help me find a way to restore my photos while keeping their original organization?

One solution would be to make a Custom Restore with the original structure of the file and then use PSE10 to move the folders that I would like.  However, AFAIK, PSE10 I cannot move entire folders of photos, only of individual pictures.

You simply use the 'Files' Panel on the left. Your folder tree appears. Simply, you drag and drop the folder to move with all its subfolders in the desired master file. That works exactly as in Solution Explorer, so be patient, you receive no message of progress until it is completed.

You did a good job to understand the situation. I think that might help you is to understand that changes in the way default folders are created in a different version of Windows can be ignored if you do not use these structure 'default', from the shortcuts to your main folder of the user.

I create a master folder 'My Photos' directly under the C: root.

When I restore, I use the "custom" choice, as you have discovered, I only specify this folder in the restore process, and I completely ignore the default shortcuts to 'Documents' or 'Image '.

I bought the new pc and I want to transfer my windows of my old pc again.

How can I do it without problem?

Windows XP cannot be transferred to a new computer that has significantly different material compared to the old computer.  It can only be installed correctly from scratch as a "clean install", assuming that the new computer has hardware supported by the older Windows XP operating system.

  • Transfer of Windows XP on a new computer with Windows 7 so that I can upgrade.

I have a Dell Dimension L433c with Windows XP loaded on and I always use it for now (I will throw it away as soon as I can do this transfer). I want to transfer programs from Windows XP and my Word and Excel files in addition to the other programs stored on the Dell on my new computer with Windows 7 Premium Home 32 bit on it and then update the programs.
My problem is that I can't save on Dell's CD drive and USB port is broken. I have connectivity to the internet and would like to send me the program and then save it to my new computer. I tried without success. Is there a list of guidelines that can guide me through this until I receive a call from home professional?

It is not possible to transfer programs from one computer to the other.  You will need to install the programs on the new computer, using the original installation CD or the installation files that you downloaded from the Internet.

When you get the new computer, you can transfer your files (Word, Excel, photos, music, Favorites, etc) to the new computer via a network connection to help Windows Easy Transfer in Windows 7 program.

  • How can I transfer a license of Windows 7 on a new computer? Step by step please

Hey guys, I just build my first computer and I don't want to use the HARD drive from my old computer to the new. I was wondering if there is some way I can transfer my Windows 7 license from the old computer to my new computer? I would be grateful if someone could answer with step by step instructions. Thanks a bunch!

    Hello!

If you have an OEM of Windows license (which is pre-installed when you purchased your PC) on the old computer and want to use it on a new computer (PC with another motherboard), it is not possible.

If you have a retail license (if you bought separately):

1 note your product key: use a program like Nirsoft Produkey to get
     http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html
    2. on the old PC uninstall product key:
Start-> Accessories-> right click on command prompt and select "Run as Administrator"
slmgr.vbs /dlv---> to display the Activation ID for the installed version of Windows.
slmgr /upk ---> where is the extracted string in the message box that appears in the previous step
    3. on the new PC use this product key during installation or change it after installation
in the product key from the old computer with:
slmgr IPK , where is your product key.

  • How to transfer Windows 7 Professional to new computer running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium?

WE HAVE CURRENTLY USING WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL. WE BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER AND NEED TO TRANSFER THE WINDOWS 7 ON NEW OLD COMPUTER WILL NOT BE USED.  THE NEW MACHINE IS CURRENTLY RUNNING WINDOWS 7 HOME.  WE CAN NOT FIND THE DISK AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT WE MUST DO TO TRANSFER WINDOWS PROFESSIONAL. THE DISCS ARE SOLD FOR $200.00 AT THE STORE, BUT SINCE WE USE IT ALREADY, I THOUGHT, HE COULD BE TRANSFERRED?

It is a copy of the retail of Windows 7 Professional store bought? If so, you can try to recover the product key and make an Express upgrade on the new machine:

Here are four utilities, which can display your product keys if they are still there:
    Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
(He did a good job of providing a wealth of information.)

    Also: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml
    and: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html
and RockXP: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4138.html which has additional features.

If Windows 7 Professional came preloaded on the old machine you cannot upload it:

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

  • transfer a victory. 8 the license to a new computer home build?

Hello.. I need not help more.

Because the Windows 8 license you have purchased is an upgrade, you must also transfer the license of Windows 7 Home Premium to the new computer that you generate.

To install a Windows 8 upgrade version, you must already have Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP installed on your PC.

If you have formatted the drive until the upgrade of Windows 8 version has been installed, you will not be able to use your upgrade product key to activate Windows 8. To activate Windows 8, you will need to install your previous version of Windows, and then reinstall Windows 8.

If the Windows 7 Home Premium is an OEM System Builder License, then there not any transfer of rights as you have already installed and activated on the previous computer. You can always install and upgrade the computer to Windows 8 and reactivate over the telephone, but it is not guaranteed to work:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then clickrun, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • HP 15-f209wm with Intel Celero: need help with a unusual amenities. Install windows 7 on a new computer windows 10.

    Hello

I am really puzzled here and need help you guys!

A friend of mine, who is not computer savy is used to windows 7 and would like to 'return' in Windows 7 to a windows 10.
She recently bought a new computer:
Black HP 15.6 "15-f209wm with Intel Celeron N2840 4 GB memory 500 GB (windows 10)

And had me working on it to install it as a Windows 7.
The problem that I didn't forsee is that after I installed wiondows 7 Nothing worked because all the installed drivers were too 'new' for the Windows 7 operating system at least that is what I think the problem is.

The main thing that doesn't work is the USB ports and Wifi,
and I cannot find drivers to make this 'connection', this 'bridge' of sorts between Windows 7 operating system and the hardware inside the computer.  And I can't find solutions on the net!

An idea that I'm trying is to copy and paste drivers from another computer Windows 7 HP, on it. But I don't know if that's going to walk.

I am really confused with this and need your expertise!

    We thank you in advance.

    * Note *.
This computer has not been upgraded from a previous version of Windows.
I tried the Driver Booster to see if it would be the auto scan, detect and install fix it but it didn't.
I got the Lan/Ethernet is finally working.

    Hello:

This driver installs usb, not the chipset driver controllers... (the last driver that I posted on my first answer).

Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/25687/us B-3-0-Intel-USB-3-0-Driver-for-Intel-NUC6i-x-SY

According to the specifications of product for your laptop, the USB driver above must have worked.

If the usb driver 3 above fails to install the usb controller...

Please view the the hardware ID for the USB controller requiring driver.

To find the hardware ID, go the Device Manager and click on the usb controller requiring driver.

Then click on the Details tab in the upper part of the window of the USB controller.

Now you will see a drop-down list of property, and it will be set to the Description of the unit.

On this list and select the 2nd (Hardware ID).

After the first string of characters you see in the window.
