Transform an image back to a shade?

Thank you in advance to anyone who responds to this... There is probably a better way to ask this question but I am quite new to Illustrator.

Basically, I had created organically a shade of this floral print and then someone sent the raw of this swatch file. They made edits to it and then sent this back that looks like this (see below). Looks that they filled with boxes of my swatch boss. But where's my swatch boss?

I just want to have this raw swatch file, in order to then make changes more than necessary and fill in other forms of my color chart. However, when I click on the box, it says that there is no fill. And I see not my floral swatches in the swatches Panel.

Thank you again for any help... oy...!

It can be a clipping mask? With her selected press Alt + Ctrl + 7, or go to object > clipping mask > Release. See if that does nothing, it should allow I hope it allows you to access the shade to be able to rebuild.

If this isn't the case, you are able to post a link to the file for the test?

    I'm not sure that's what you have in mind, but if you want to clear your RAW settings, you can do from the bridge by choosing the image and the settings by choosing Erase as stated above.

  • Why transform masked images leave a gray outline?

    I created a new layer mask to an image, but when I use the free transform tool to resize is smaller, there is a pale gray outline to the left around the image. Why is this happening and how can I get rid of him?

    OK just an update on this. I think that the response of Conroy may be technically correct, but it seemed to solve my problem by converting just a layer to a smart object. I can't have my problem very well described initially. In summary:

    Problem:

    Resizing a layer (making the smaller) with a style of using the free transform tool created drop shadow effect a grey outline around my image / object.

    Solution:

    Convert layer to smart object and then using the transform tool solved this problem.

  • You can transform an image in a button/reagents object?

    Is it possible to do an imported picture, a sensitive subject - i.e. when I click on it, it reveals something else? I don't see that option anywhere. I thought that maybe advanced actions, but I have in vain.

    Thank you.

    You can insert an image button. In 8 Captivate, you click "Interactions" > "Button", and then in the property on the right side bar you select 'Image button' and then click on the folder icon to select your picture.

    If you want it so that when you click on the image it reveals another object, set the action to be Show > your object.

  • How to break an image up to 4 shades of a color monochromatic and pixxelate/mosaic?

    Hi guys,.

    I am working with a friend who is building an art installation - this is a set of 128 x 128 of cubes on a vertical rod which turn sideways - and each face of the cube has a different tone of color - say gray for now... so on all 4 sides of the cube that rotates, it can set black 25%, 75%, or white.

    Ive tried a few hours now to work on a process by which we can break any image down for this system - mosiac/pixelated at 128 x 128 and composed of a range of mono 100%, 25%, 75% and 0% of whatever color he wants...

    Any suggestions? Thank you

    1. image > adjustments > Posterize...  4 steps

    2. color sampler tool: Mark 4 trays as indicated

    3 curves.  CMD + Opt + shift click on each of the markers to place values on the curve

    4. with the information as a panel guide, move each with the up and down keyboard arrows to create the specific values you want. You will find only #2 & #3 need adjustment. (Type the key move you each markers... Look at the black point of the brand)

    (5 place a grid on the image, and modify all the boxes that are not a flat value (if desired) or after the Posterization, explore filter > Pixelate > mosaic according to the resolution of the image)

    ankkip,

    You can (always keep a copy of the original work):

    (1) cut the path indicated in the Anchor Points where the rounded end of the original deadline of the race begins and replace Stroke/No fill for all the paths of the limit;

    (2) object > mix > blend Options, location not specified > 1 and guidance > align on the track;

    (3) select the paths of both side of 1 limit) and object > blend > Make (you may need to add one or more anchor Points either if the intermediate stage seems odd);

    (3) object > blend > expand and separate;

    (4) choose the path of the middle and give the law (corresponding to the distance between the path of the border side) and Cap round/Join.

    The new path must now complete and put the side and end paths limited. You may need to make adjustments.

  • Why not transform the work? I'm doing a simple resize a smart object, and I constantly have problems. do not transformation. I had this same problem on several images and I've just updated to the latest

    I had frequent problems trying to resize the smart objects - I am unable to use the transformation. I had this problem on several images. • When I transform a raster (png) image, a smaller size it keeps the original resolution?

    I'll describe my basic setting to help answer the question.

    (1) I am the conception of a corrugated litho label. The work plan of size is size 1:1 to the size of print box.

    (2) chart most East of vectors. No problem.

    (3) some graphics are rendered png of the product. Here are the rentals makes high resolution (600 / 1200 dpi).

    (4) when I add in the file in illustrator, they are size superior, they should be. If I simply turn the scale to 50% is the resolution of the raster image remain the same?

    Transforming the image in Illustrator does not change the amount of pixels in the original image.

    You must

    1. Find out from your printer what resolution they recommend.  Although the label for corrugated will be 300 dpi or less, usually 2 x lip.
    2. Open your image in Photoshop. Unchecek resample, change your dpi to your porinter say you.
    3. Save your image

    Now when you place it in Illustrator you will get a maximum quality of your image if you do not evolve, or reduce the image. If you need to put the bigger picture, then you will need to return to a higher resolution. Don't worry about the scale of a small amount of 10% or less, but something bigger that you can Sam art see pixellation.

  • Update 2015.2 CC, now your self on import makes all my images in black and nothing won't fix it, what can I do?

    Having a bit of a strange problem with the update, I tried to post to the bug forum but I have had no response to the initial post more than 12 hours. I work in a nightclub, so I tend to leave the 'Auto-Tone' to do a lot of work for me, since I have to deal with anywhere up to 400 frames per night. After I have updated to the new version, I met a problem very very strange. When I import my pictures from my camera (D610), auto tone transforms the images to complete darkness by dragging the slider exhibition completely to the left. Where it gets weird is, no matter what I do (drag the slider to the right... etc) nothing gets my images of this complete blackness. I have tried everything I can think, I've updated my display drivers, I disabled the GPU acceleration, I reactivated it, I've updated ACR, I rolled back my display drivers, I have disabled all the plugins, I even went that Lightroom will also uninstall and reinstall. Nothing works. It becomes quite frustrating and I can't find any solution everywhere I look.

    Details: AMD A8 clocked at 4.3 ghz, AMD GPU R7-300, 16 GB of RAM (DDR3), Windows 10 Professional (never had no problem with that).

    UPDATE: by pure morbid curiosity, I've updated Lightroom on my laptop which runs care completely different and low and behold... same problem. It is certainly not my system that is at fault and Lightroom.

    Hi Eirereb,

    Please follow the steps if you see black pictures after importation into Lightroom below:

    1. Turn off apply tone auto under Lightroom preferences settings
    2. Restart Lightroom and then import images again.

  • Change the base color of a raster with a gradient image.

    Hello

    I have a small picture of raster (png) (8 wide x 75 pixels) high I have beautiful is looking for arrangement or gradient shades of green.  I have a site of sample that I created during playback in class CC of DreamWeaver in a book that contains this image horizontally to create backgroung for a navigation menu.

    I want to "recreate" the same effect for my own site, but in shades of gray instead of shades of green.  Can someone tell me what is the best way / tool in Photoshop or Illustrator that would allow me to change this raster image so that every shade of green is converted to a corresponding shade of gray, while retaining the same general effect / appearance that I try to recreate?  If you could point me to a tutorial or explanation of how to do this, I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

    One of the simplest ways is to simply convert your color to grayscale image.

    • Image > adjustments > Desaturate or shift-ctrl-u (windows) shift-cmd-u (mac)
    • Image > adjustments > black and white, this filter will allow you to preview so that to change individual colors if necessary to darken or lighten the shade. (That would be more sensitive with a multi color image)
    • Image > adjustments > cmd - u (mac) Hue and Saturation or ctrl-u (windows) this command will allow you to desaturate a color or change its hue and or brightness. (This works well to change from green to blue for example but will work to desaturate both green)

    Most of the people is called destructive commands because they are permanent.

    • Layer > new adjustment layer > Hue/Saturation
    • Layer > new adjustment layer > black and white
    • Layer > new adjustment layer > gradient map

    Here are the layers while not destructive in that you can go any time back and change this setting assuming that you save in a format that takes in charge the layers. As psd or tiff.
