Tri color swatch Panel

Is it possible to sort the entries in the swatch Panel so that they are in alphabetical order? It sounds like an obvious thing to do and something that I would have thought that InDesign would have done himself.

  • Adding swatches to the swatches Panel toolbar... takes default background color

    Hi I have some problems with the workflow in Photoshop. I'm new to Photoshop CC.

    I was previously using CS3

    I don't know why this is the case, but has been use to easily add the color of foreground for samples and now I have the colors of the foreground color, background to get the color I want in my color chart. It seems counter intuitive. Did I miss something or is there a switch to choose the color of the background instead of the foreground color when added to the swatches Panel?

    Choose the color Panel, and then click the foreground color

    Now, when you choose swatches > new nuance he must choose the foreground color

  • When I open a new illustrator document color swatches cs6 don't appear in the swatch Panel. 10.9.3 MAC user

    my color chart do not appear in the swatch Panel when I open a new document cs6. 10.9.3 MAC user

    Color chart is included in the new profiles of documents appearing in the menu 'profile '. Were you by selecting a profile from there deliberately? What happens if you do now - select 'Print' or 'Web '?

    If the documents do not always contain the nuances and you are certain that you do not change the document profiles, then they could have been damaged.

  • Pantone color chart do not appear in the swatches Panel

    IM in the process of conversion of a logo to spot colors. When I open the swatches Panel and choose one of the books, pantone, the Panel opens on what you see below. This same thing with all the books in color except for the basic of illustrator books.

  • Swatches Panel > add colors used - converts all MP to treat!

    Why, oh why doesn't Illustrator do that - when a file audit and determine what colors havbe served, clear the swatches Panel and then hit 'Add used colors' are a wonderful way to get a peek at all the colors used in an file - BUT - forget it if you use PMS (which I do), because all the PMS to convert to the process Oops!

    Can't understand why this happens. A useful function otherwise is made much less usable.

    Sadness.

  • Color picker Panel / exposure to user for the creation of Swatch - in SCRITPING

    Hi all

    I am in need to Show/display "Color Picker Panel" in InDesign, the user to select their desire of color to create a shade through SCRIPTS. Can anyone help me in this.

    I wrote a similar sample of ColorPicker Script in the past, too.

    • create the document
    • Create the rectangle object
    • Show ColorPicker
    • choose color with ColorPicker
    • create RGB color sample
    • (convert to CMYK color)
    • rectangle object to that shade of colouring

  • Spot Color Swatch color change

    Hello

    I've almost figured this out but have to hang up.  I am trying to replace a color with another color from a Pantone library. I use Illustrator CS6.

    I have this script that I found here:

    #target illustrator

    var app.activeDocument = docRef;

    with (docRef) {}

    var replaceColor = swatches.getByName('Pantone_152_C').color;

    for (var i = 0; i < pathItems.length; i ++) {}

    with (pathItems [i]) {}

    If (filled == true & & instanceof SpotColor fillColor) {}

    If (fillColor.spot.name == "HCS Orange") fillColor = replaceColor.

    }

    }

    }

    for (var j = 0; j < stories.length; j ++) {}

    with (stories [j]) {}

    for (var k = 0; k < characters.length; k ++) {}

    with (characters [k] .characterAttributes) {}

    If (instanceof SpotColor fillColor) {}

    If (fillColor.spot.name == "HCS Orange") fillColor = replaceColor.

    }

    If (instanceof SpotColor strokeColor) {}

    If (strokeColor.spot.name == "HCS Orange") strokeColor = replaceColor.

    }

    }

    }

    }

    }

    }

    That works, but only if the new PMS color is added to the list of swatch.  It seems that I can't get the nuance in the list easily using a script (which I have no experience with) or an action.  Nor can I change the name after var replacecolor as seems to only pick up the swatch Panel and not the Group of colors or color book

    Any suggestions would be helpful, I'm looking to have to change the 30 000 files.

    Thank you

    Matt

    are the target color and the color of the same destination in each file? in other words, you are constantly changing "HCS Orange" to "Pantone 152?

    If so, you could just set the color of pantone at the beginning of your code. as follows:

    #target illustrator

    var docRef = app.activeDocument;
    var swatches = docRef.swatches;

    try {
         var replaceColor = swatches.getByName('Pantone 152C').color;
    }
    catch (err){
         var replaceColor = docRef.spots.add();
         replaceColorColor = new CMYKColor();
         replaceColorColor.cyan = 4.84;
         replaceColorColor.magenta = 66.58;
         replaceColorColor.yellow = 100;
         replaceColorColor.black = 0.21;
         replaceColor.name = 'Pantone 152C';
         replaceColor.color = replaceColorColor;
         replaceColor.colorType = ColorModel.SPOT;
         replaceColor.tint = 100;
    }

  • Broken Swatches Panel

    Hello

    My Swatches from InDesign CS5 Panel crossed yesterday.

    When I select a text box with the arrow tool, I should be able to click on the "box" or "T" icons at the top of the Swatches palette to choose if I want the box to change color or type of color to change. These items are not selectable.

    It works very well in the color Panel, but not the swatches Panel. The swatches Panel works fine when I connect with a different user account.

    I wonder what preference file causes this problem. I tried many files of Adobe preferences out of my library, without success.

    Here is a screenshot of the problem Panel area. I have a text box selected when I took this shot:

  • Problem with the swatches Panel

    There is a problem with my Swatches Panel.

    When I select an object that can be colored in the page, such as a box, I choose a color for it in the swatches Panel. but, the little icon top left of this Panel that normally indicates if the color is applied to the fill or line, is empty. I can click on the arrows swap fill and stroke, near the icon and the fill and stroke will swap; but the icon is empty... just gray.

    Indicators of background and outline in the Panel of colors and the toolbar but displays correctly, however.

    The swatches Panel is displayed correctly when logged in another account.

    I'm on a Mac and tried to screw up the "idcs5_Swatches Panel.mxi" and "idcs5_Swatch Library Panel.mxi" files or not available.

    Is there another file I should try screw up? Could this be a conflict with another program?

    Thank you!

  • Swatch Panel weird glitch

    When I try to change a shade existing CMYK, spot color palette seems to load on top of CMYK sliders and I can not change the CMYK swatch.  This has started to happen a week ago out of the blue, and it won't go away.

    I took a video screen to specify, because when you read it like that probably sounds ridiculous:

    https://youtu.be/b6FZXEb_tx4

    We never seen anything like this? I would just point out: PROCESS and mode CMYK color is selected. But the picture represented is Pantone spot.

    Someone has an idea how to solve this problem otherwise that uh, reinstall ID?

    I use InDesign CS4 on OS x Snow Leopard.

    I'm sorry. Found the answer. Why this forum is always offering the right search results after I post a topic, ever?

    In any case, the answer is here:

  • My newly created model swatch will not be displayed in the swatch Panel

    I created a model of plaid and dragged to the swatch group. When I tested, I realized there is some error so I deleted the swatch in the swatch Panel, then edited my original (created a bounding box with no fill, no stroke and sent to the rear). When I try to drag the new model highlight in the swatch Panel, this time that it will not be displayed; But if I create a new shade of single color it will be. Help!

    I had the same problem, but the answer by Monika helped me to understand the problem: I divorced from all elements in the model, then checked each one in the appearance Panel. I discovered that I had inadvertently forms filled with a pattern. When I deleted all those unwanted models of each shape and banded everything, I could record the reason as a sample.

  • See the current color Swatch

    Hello

    When we choose a color of the swatch group, it changes our foreground to this color swatch color.

    So maybe go us back in our paper and some paint. Now, let's say that we want to choose another swatch color, which is similar to the last swatch we chose, but just a bit darker. The problem here is that the last sample of color we clicked on does not remain highlighted in the swatches Panel, so we know exactly what we currently use. So if I want to choose a shade that is just a little bit darker that the one I use now, how can we know what shade to click on if I don't know I'm already on that?

    In other words, is it possible to establish a border or something around a shade that we choose, so that it remains "highlight", so it is easier to reference from when changing color using the Swatches palette?

    No, unfortunately not. The top example is only in CC and CC 2014. The Color Picker is as close as I get. You can still use the swatches Panel when the switch is open, and you can choose and compare samples in this way.

  • How to customize the size of the "Swatches" Panel in Photoshop CS 4/5?

    Swatches Panel.JPG

    Hello
    (1) using the edge of the bottom right hand corner you can drag a Swatches Panel to a smaller or larger size.

    The picture above was taken with the dimensions of the swatch group counld drag down does not further in a smaller size. I want to reduce the dimensions of the Swatches palette to show only a row of small color tiles to increase the space of my place of work in Photoshop CS5.

    (2) also, I would be eternally grateful if one of you could tell me how to assign some shortcut keys for color chart custom color that I select with the eyerdropper tool and save in the swatches Panel.

    No and no. Sorry, it is not possible. All panels have a fixed size that cannot be further reduced. And assign shortcuts to swatches is not possible in any application that I know. It is perhaps the case in dedicated toon / coloring tools, but generally it isn't really make sense for the generic graphics applications as you can easily exhaust your shortcuts just for that...
