Swatches Panel > add colors used - converts all MP to treat!

Why, oh why doesn't Illustrator do that - when a file audit and determine what colors havbe served, clear the swatches Panel and then hit 'Add used colors' are a wonderful way to get a peek at all the colors used in an file - BUT - forget it if you use PMS (which I do), because all the PMS to convert to the process Oops!

Can't understand why this happens. A useful function otherwise is made much less usable.

Sadness.

What do you expect when you delete a spot color that is in use?

  • Adding swatches to the swatches Panel toolbar... takes default background color

Hi I have some problems with the workflow in Photoshop. I'm new to Photoshop CC.

    I was previously using CS3

I don't know why this is the case, but has been use to easily add the color of foreground for samples and now I have the colors of the foreground color, background to get the color I want in my color chart. It seems counter intuitive. Did I miss something or is there a switch to choose the color of the background instead of the foreground color when added to the swatches Panel?

Choose the color Panel, and then click the foreground color

my color chart do not appear in the swatch Panel when I open a new document cs6. 10.9.3 MAC user

Color chart is included in the new profiles of documents appearing in the menu 'profile '. Were you by selecting a profile from there deliberately? What happens if you do now - select 'Print' or 'Web '?

If the documents do not always contain the nuances and you are certain that you do not change the document profiles, then they could have been damaged.

  • I want to print or export (PDF) a design with an indication of pantone colors used without separations so that our customers can see them (not in CMYK)

Before I used illustrator CS, I was able to point used on a print or PDF with coreldraw pantone colors.

Can someone tell me how to make such an impression with CS6.

My customers saw no Pantone colors used in the design (not in CMYK)

Add your tones to your Swatches Panel (window > Swatch Library > color books > Pantone + solid coating >)

In the menu drop-down of the swatches Panel, select all unused nuances and delete it. Also remove all unused swatch groups.

File > Configuration of Document > do the purge. 5 ".

Use the text tool to indicate the spot colors on the outer edge of the background area lost, do the color type matches the specified color spot.

Save as PDF. This PDF file printed with purge will show the spot. Alternatively, you can select 'Add crop marks and color bar' in the print settings, which should also indicate the tones.

In InDesign, you can add a box to your page slug, where tones usually added.

  • How to customize the size of the "Swatches" Panel in Photoshop CS 4/5?

    Swatches Panel.JPG

    Hello
    (1) using the edge of the bottom right hand corner you can drag a Swatches Panel to a smaller or larger size.

The picture above was taken with the dimensions of the swatch group counld drag down does not further in a smaller size. I want to reduce the dimensions of the Swatches palette to show only a row of small color tiles to increase the space of my place of work in Photoshop CS5.

    (2) also, I would be eternally grateful if one of you could tell me how to assign some shortcut keys for color chart custom color that I select with the eyerdropper tool and save in the swatches Panel.

No and no. Sorry, it is not possible. All panels have a fixed size that cannot be further reduced. And assign shortcuts to swatches is not possible in any application that I know. It is perhaps the case in dedicated toon / coloring tools, but generally it isn't really make sense for the generic graphics applications as you can easily exhaust your shortcuts just for that...

  • How to: need to take the line and be able to add color to the areas

I have a bit of drawing that I've vectorized it in outline, I wish I could add coloring to drawings is simple steps where I would theoretically add a color box and some how cookie cut the color on the lines, I can get as much as it is some areas but not in others, I know I'm doing something wrong , can someone help me,

as in a coloring book, you have the outlines then each area can be colored

    LITTLE,

    Try this:

    1. Select > all.

    2 copy.

3 group. (Just to group your line drawings, so you can select it later.)

    3 paste in front.

4 pathfinder Palette: click the icon of the divide more (left, bottom row).

5 Color Palette: click on a color, as applying to a fill. (The fill icon background/contour part must be at the front.

    6 object > arrange > SendToBack.

    7 separate.

You should now have an object filled for each region Visual envelope of your work at the chain, under the Assembly-line work in the stacking order. You can re - color filled areas by selecting and changing their fill colors.

If all areas has not created you can fill a closed path, there is a gap between some lines around this region. You must ensure that all the areas you want to color are less than completely surrounded by paths. In other words, to the method above works, paths that define a region coloring must at least touch each other. (Best to make them pass as either little - although it has less than the weight of the race.

    A similar method:

    1 Select all.

    2 copy.

    3 group.

    4 paste in front.

    5. set the features to round the ends.

6 object > path > describe the path.

    7. pathfinder palette: AltClick the button Add to the area (at the far left, senior) form.

    8 object > CompoundPath > Release.

9 choose a colourful filling, none related.

You should now have a closed path setting inside each visually closed region and a single path describing everything. Delete the latter.

This method uses the rounded tips to help fill the paths. OutlinePath step converts the paths of the filled shapes, including round earmolds, which hopefully will overlap. Unions of operation Pathfinder those overlapping paths within a single compound path, removing duplication. Releasing the compound path leaves you with the individual subpaths, which correspond to the inside edges of the surrounding features visually closed regions.

  • Why don't I have as many files XP update [start / Control Panel / Add or remove programs / currently installed programs and updates]

Trying to clean up the hard drive, among other things, I found the following in files

XP [start /control Control Panel / Add or remove programs / currently installed programs and updates]

22 updates for ms office 2003 dating from 22/01/2007.

8 updates for the 2007 office system compatibility pack that goes back to the 10/02/2010

190 updates for Windows XP, which dates back to the 29/06/2006

6 updates for windows xp media center edition 2005, which dates back to the 29/06/2006

Are all these necessary, and if not, how can I do to clean them?

    Thank you.

    Hi Renee-me,

I recommend that you do not uninstall the updates that are installed on your computer.

Windows Update makes the secure PC and helps run smoothly.

For more information, refer to this link: Windows Update

We suggest to delete the Windows updates only in troubleshooting an issue that may have been caused by an update. Refer to KB 310312 for more information on how to use the disk cleanup to free up space on the hard disk.

    Hope the helps of information.

  • Swatch Panel weird glitch

When I try to change a shade existing CMYK, spot color palette seems to load on top of CMYK sliders and I can not change the CMYK swatch.  This has started to happen a week ago out of the blue, and it won't go away.

I took a video screen to specify, because when you read it like that probably sounds ridiculous:

    https://youtu.be/b6FZXEb_tx4

We never seen anything like this? I would just point out: PROCESS and mode CMYK color is selected. But the picture represented is Pantone spot.

Someone has an idea how to solve this problem otherwise that uh, reinstall ID?

I use InDesign CS4 on OS x Snow Leopard.

I'm sorry. Found the answer. Why this forum is always offering the right search results after I post a topic, ever?

  • My newly created model swatch will not be displayed in the swatch Panel

I created a model of plaid and dragged to the swatch group. When I tested, I realized there is some error so I deleted the swatch in the swatch Panel, then edited my original (created a bounding box with no fill, no stroke and sent to the rear). When I try to drag the new model highlight in the swatch Panel, this time that it will not be displayed; But if I create a new shade of single color it will be. Help!

I had the same problem, but the answer by Monika helped me to understand the problem: I divorced from all elements in the model, then checked each one in the appearance Panel. I discovered that I had inadvertently forms filled with a pattern. When I deleted all those unwanted models of each shape and banded everything, I could record the reason as a sample.

  • How to add colors to my company permanently?

Of course, I know how to add colors by document but I just can't understand how I can add colors to stay. I mean, so that they are listed when I open a new document in InDesign.

A response in English is perfect, but if someone wants to be able to answer in Dutch it would be a little bit more easy since I use the Dutch version of InDesign.

To do this, close all documents (but leave InDesign open).

Now add any colors you like. You will find that any new document you create includes these colors.

  • Best program to add color for PDFs?

I have no experience with Adobe, with the exception of Acrobat.  I use AutoCAD to PDF 8.5x11 floor plans and simple site maps. They are black and white simple.  Now, I want to add a color to them, green for grass, tan for the building and other colors according to the needs.  Additional color can invade the black lines of the plan.  My questions are 1. is photoshop or lightroom the program easier to add color? 2. I have always used PDF files for simplicity, these programs support PDF or should I use JPEG, TIFF and others?

    Hi David,

You're in luck, because all of the Adobe Creative Suite programs can read and write PDFs. Photoshop is a natural for what you want to do, and you can open the PDF directly with Photoshop and even save it in PDF format when you're through, from Photoshop.See my tutorial written: Photoshop PDF - Creative, Sweet!

You will need to invest some time to learn Photoshop, but it indeed will allow you to make the changes that you are wanting.
