• Illustrator CS6 display problems and Yosemite

  I recently bought a macbook pro with Yosemite and problems with Illustrator CS6.

  There are so many bugs that I can't set as follows:

  • Dialog boxes appear off the screen
  • Cannot scrolling completely on the dialogs for the column

  First of all, remove column view until Apple fixed.

  The right path/order is to upgrade the operating system, and then reinstall the applications. If this isn't the case, already, in my view, that it should be, at least for Illy.

  You could reinstall using the way complete three steps to ensure that (if not, strange things may persist):

  (1) uninstall (check the box to delete the preferences),

  (2) run the cleanup tool, see the link below,

  (3) reinstall.

  I would like to add additional information. The problem occurs when a drawing tool. Retangle, ellipse... is used. Also when scrolling the adjustment of work plans and using the lasso.

I don't know if this question belongs here, but I'm currently running a trial of Illustrator CS6 and I think to buy once my 30 days expires.  However, I'm looking at the Adobe store and it seems that I can't buy Illustrator with student price (the only programs listed with the delivery of education are Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash and packages of CS).  I know that it is still possible to buy Illustrator CS6 since I find at regular price ($599), but I'm just curious to know if this means Adobe gradually some editions of student/teacher CS6 or if my account is just to be weird and it is still possible to buy Illustrator with the discount.  Thank you! (Also I totally get the encouragement to subscribe to CC instead, especially with the rate of first year at low prices for students, but it is mostly for purposes of self-teaching/hobby - not so much for professional training.  Once again, thank you!)

  I'm afraid that the educational version of the unique applications option was limited to Photoshop and a few others.

  The best option, in my opinion, is the standard, which is cheaper than the single no educational version of Illy (Design and Web Premium has the same price as Illy).

  Please, do a right-click on Illustrator and run as admin. If you still encounter the same problem, then uninstall and try to reinstall.

  I used to install the trial version of Illustrator CC on my desk and then during the trial run out I decide to go with illustrator CS6 instead, so I decide to buy &
  Illustrator CS6 install on our desktop and everything seem to be fine except

  the problem is that our .ai file is located on the network design team shared drive.

  When we try to open the file from the network drive with illustrator CS6, it says "this file is not found.

  -We try to copy the file to the network drive on our office and can open the file without problem

  -If we double-click directly on the file from the network drive to start the CS6 illustrator with this file. He has also very good, no problem at all.

  - But if we first open the illustrator CS6 and try opening... and then again browse to this file on the network, then "this file is not found.

  -CS6 Illustrator have no problem opening the file in the local hard disk.

  Hi, I just could solve this problem, a path of the folder in our network is contains a character of Thai language.
  When rename us all English characters, it is able to repair!

  Maybe it's a bug since Illustrator CC is quite open this file, but in any case if it works at least I don't have to guess anymore.

  As stated, I have a full licensed version of Design & Web Premium CS6.  I also pay on behalf of creative cloud "photography" get photoshop and lightroom.

  When I open Illustrator CS6 it tells me that my CC to trial has expired and it prompts me to the licensed software.  How can I get that back to my fully paid for the license?  I do not remember to register for all test under my account, so I am at a loss!

  You're SUPPOSED to be able to keep the CS6 (or earlier) with a subscription of clouds, so I have no idea why your CS6 does not work

  Greetings Illustrator scripting gurus,

  Looks like the forum script has been very busy lately with just one year ago. Congratulations to all of you who have been answering the questions. I hope to have some time soon to participate more that I have lately.

  So I do not know if I nailed the issue properly in my topic so please allow me to explain. I wrote an application in Visual Basic that interects with Illustrator CS5.1, or at least he did until I installed Illustrator CS6 trial. I'll switch to this version at some point in the future, but for now I still need to use CS5.1. Previously (before installation of the CS6 trial) I just used - CreateObject ("Illustrator.Application") - to create an instance of Illustrator. After you have installed the trial CS6, the current version kept CS6 launches. So I thought - easy enough - so my line now - reads CreateObject (my. Resources.CurrentVersionCS) - where my. Resources.CurrentVersionCS = "Illustrator.Application.CS5". But keep shooting instead of CS5 CS6.

  I gave forums to research a good 'College Try' to try to find the answer before porstiong, but came up empty. Could someone lend some meaning to this for me?
