trigger on the user account expires or lock?

How to capture an event when a user account lock or expiring soon?

There the trigger? (Oracle DB 11g R2)

concerning

The preliminary calculation of the expiry of lock and password of the account by the triggers is not possible. run tasks scheduled every day to find the State of account and a user password expiration status.

If you can, monitor the profiles assigned to users to find the password expiration.

Thank you

To check the expiration date, you will need to view dba_users query.

According to your request, his shows correct value and it expires Dec. 30, so you can connect with this user until Dec 30.

  • Can I disable the alert "the referenced account is currently locked...". »

A client asked me to allow on their domain account lockout threshold.

I made the appropriate changes in group policy and also set up a notification by e-mail under Task Scheduler that is triggered by event ID 4740 appearing in the security log. http://community.Spiceworks.com/scripts/show/1588-send-email-on-account-lock-out

It was during the test I noted after the nth wrong password, I got a screen on alert "the referenced account is currently locked and cannot be logged on.

I tested again with an invalid username and did not get the same message. This is potentially a problem because it means that an attacker can't see a difference between a valid user name and an invalid user name without having to know any correct password.

Is it possible that I can disable this alert screen so that the attackers are not presented with a way to validate user names?

I am already aware that locking accounts are more favourable for other reasons the customer is informed of the possibility of an attack denial of service which deliberately trigger these locks and took some measures to mitigate the effects.

However, because an informed decision was filed with stick to the strategy of locking of account I want to be able to mitigate this undesirable if possible another consequence.

  • Need to access the user accounts from previous installations

I am running Windows XP Pro, and I have installed new software.

When I have it ran for the first time my PC crashed. Now, whenever I try to load it up it just keeps restarting before you get to the login screen. Safe mode does not help you, or doesn't last known good configuration. There is no recovery point recorded.

I searched online for help and tried to repair the Windows version by inserting the CD and choose 'Repair', but there is no repair option. He wants me to install a new version of Windows on the partition, which, from what I understand, going to wipe my user accounts. It would be a big problem, as I have a lot of data out there that is very important for me who is not saved. My fault, still backward, etc. No not after the sympathy, just stating the facts!

I also have Windows XP 64 is installed on a separate partition, and I loaded this up to see if I can see the user account I want to access. I can. But I can't access it because it is password protected, and it just comes up saying 'access denied '.

So, how do I gain access to this user account? Doing anything to the working version of XP64, either by repairing the other partition inactive?

All welcome, no matter how much of a long shot it is advice. I'm getting desperate!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Malkeleah,

I had real problems trying to get Knoppix to work. I downloaded on my laptop, then had to put on a USB key to burn on the PC with Win 64 on (portable DVD player is read-only), but I couldn't do burn. I kept of burning errors using the built-in burner after first unpacking the ISO on the laptop (no support ISO native in Windows XP), or when I tried to install on win 64 the system burning software I got error messages saying: the software wouldn't run as soon as I clicked to install it. And Yes, I checked that I was using the software compatible 64-bit! No idea what it was, the 64-bit version has never really been used, not even well why it is installed.

In any case, after that much hitting my head on the office followed a couple of pints in pubs, I managed to find another way around this problem, which was to take ownership of the files according to the instructions on the Microsoft Web site:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/308421

It worked wonderfully for me, and I have been able to support Windows 64-bit, re - install XP 'normal' and then appropriated again under that. 2 files come with errors and would not sell the property, but they were not even remotely important if everything is good. I got literally thousands of other files that flies over without any problems.

In any case, thank you for taking the time to help me, I'm sure that your method would have worked if I had been able to create a CD (I would have posted off the coast for one if everything else has failed because they will send one in the world for any $2 IIRC), but for someone else who did a search and found my ad the above that I mention is worth a go as an alternative method.

And no, I didn't have the encrypted files. Just locked the account of some simple password protection.

    Thanks again,

    Chris.

  • The referenced account is currently locked and cannot be logged on to. How to unlock it?

This is the error I get when I enter the correct password also. I have Windows VISTA and I have a set a local policy for the account lockout threshold. My friend wanted to break my password without knowing it. It is not a domain account. Mine is an independent home PC. There is a single account that is my account. I tried in safe mode (even with the command line too), but even then I get the login screen & tell me to enter the password. If I enter the password, it says "the referenced account is currently locked and cannot be saved in. There is no fingerprint reader in mine either. So how I now access my account & see my Office I couldn't since 4 days now! Suggestions, please WELCOME!

Next time consider that to have a friend who does not really know what there mess in this connection with your computer isn't a good thing. Nor is defining an account lockout policy without knowing what you do or creating an additional administrative account so hot either.

The faster and easier to solve this problem is to enable (disabled by default) built-in Administrator account and set a null (blank) password. Allowing this account will put an icon for it on the logon screen so that you can then you connect, make an emergency administrator account (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or other), change the passwords of other accounts, etc.. When you are finished, log on the built-in Administrator and in the "CompAdmin" account and disable the administrator built-in again if you want this additional security (recommended). Leave the account "CompAdmin" rise and future emergency situations given that the account for your daily work must be a Standard account. See the end of this post for general information on configuring user accounts in Vista.

    http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/

Download CD (.iso) image and burn as an image, not as data. You will need a third party burning software. Then boot with the CD that you created and follow the directions.

Once all of your changes, on the account of CompAdmin disable the administrator account integrated yet for security reasons:

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

General information of user accounts *.

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is an OS multi-user with system built-in accounts such as administrator, by default, all users and guest. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it will take third-party tools and work outside the operating system.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

    Hello

Click the account icon that was locked and enter the password IF you know and otherwise:

Try Safe Mode - several times, press F8 that you start. The Admin account there is no default password
so unless someone has changed, you should have access there. Then Control Panel - accounts - users
Manage another account - use this down your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times.
Then fix the password in your usual account. Do not forget to leave your account administrator if you
    wish.

If no joy Mode without failure:

Try this - use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times.
Then fix the password in your usual account. Do not forget to leave your account administrator if you
    wish.

Make another Admin account with your password and use it to fix the others if necessary. (just for
repair, don't use regular account, not a safety valve) always keep a spare ADMIN account.

    Hi Paul,

    1. what anti-virus software do you use?

2 you use the password while logging on to the user account?

I suggest you of change the logon window and the shutdown preferences in Windows XP to resolve the problem.

Setup configures Windows XP to use the friendly welcome logon screen and close buttons, if your computer is installed as a computer (a computer where a network domain has not been specified).

This article describes how you can enable the classic logon screen used by Windows XP Server that resembles the following example:

    Log on to Windows

    User name: _______
    Password: __________

To temporarily use the classic logon screen, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete twice on the Welcome logon screen.

To configure Windows XP to use the classic logon and shutdown for each logon screens, follow these steps:

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.
    b. double-click user accounts.
    c. click on change the way users log on or off the power.
    d. Click to uncheck the use the Welcome screen check box.

Note: If you disable the Welcome logon screen, you also disable the fast user switching option.

If you want users to press CTRL + ALT + DEL before the classic logon appears like a Windows XP-based computer that is joined to a domain, follow these steps:

    a. click Start, click run, type regedit in the Open box and then click OK.
    b. click the Winlogon subkey at the following registry location:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
    c. click change, click newand then click DWORD value.
    d. to change the name of the value, type DisableCADand press ENTER.
    e. keep the data value set to 0. The set of data values appear as 0x00000000 (0).

Warning: Ask users to press CTRL + ALT + DEL before the classic logon screen appears.

If you don't want that, then come back in a classic.

Note: To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Thank you very much!

Try to find that the problem with the user account is probably not worth the time it would take. Restart the computer in Safe Mode. When you are prompted, choose to log in to the administrator account. Go to control panel > user accounts. Create a new account here. Name anything at random for now. Now navigate to my computer > C drive open > Documents and Settings folder. Your old user account. Now locate all records containing your files. Copy and paste them in the folder appropriate for the new account. Now delete the old account.  You can now change the name of the new account name you had in the old account. It is probably the best way to fix it.
