Triple boot Xp/Windows 7 32 bit - add Win 7 64 bit?

I can keep my drive with the dual boot XP/W7 (32 bit) and install Windows 7 64 bit on an separate SSD with all versions still selectively bootable?

I don't want to use XP mode on 64-bit and transfer some non specific folders and files.

I can (or - it?) I ??) install W7 64 bit AND use the remaining part (as partitioned) of the SSD as cache?

SSD drive (at least some manufactured products) want about 7 to 10% of the disk unpartitioned to serve what we call "Provisioning" to improve performance and TRIM.

  • ITunes skipping after upgrade to clean boot of Windows 7 64 bit HP Pavilion m9500y

I recently updated my m9500y to vista 64-bit home premium to windows 7 Professional via an upgrade to boot. Since the update iTunes ignores intermittently. Can I close iTunes and reopen it and it will play OK no problem jumping. Sometimes it takes to open and close the program several times before that it will play correctly no problem jumping.

I won't have the same problem with Windows Media Player as I've seen in other posts on this and other forums for the problem of Itunes jump.

I completely uninstalled iTunes such as recommended by HP before you perform the upgrade to windows 7 and I have all the HP windows 7 and the Microsoft updates, including the drivers and firmware.

I even tried to uninstall completely the 9.2.1 64-bit version of itunes, including registry keys and installed the previous version of Vista 64 bit which worked perfectly before the upgrade. However, I still had the same problem.

Just in case my driver realtek HD audio version 6.0.1.5910. I do music professionally and HP Smart Media and Windows Media Player simply do not cut it. I have my iTunes works properly all the time.

This is the only problem that I have. Everything else works perfectly.

I did the same windows 7 Professional upgrade exactly the same way on my Inspiron 1545 Dell 64 bit machine and I do not have the itunes problem to jump on this machine. I hope someone has a solution.

I think, with all posts on this problem on this and other boards of the HP HP machines he owes to its clients to have their engineers and programmers reach a solution. I spent at least 50 hours on the problem.

Thanks for the suggestions, however, neither worked. However, all is not lost. I finally found the solution and cause, and the problem is solved. It turns out that some third-party modules were cause of conflict with itunes. I found this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2292?viewlocale=en_US to Apple support.

I give detailed instructions on the way which we MSCONFIG to solve conflicts in Windows Vista and 7, which could be the cause of problems with iTunes. After change startup programs and services, then by adding them one at a time after restarting whenever I finally was able to hide the indentify the third specific add on that was originally my itunes jump like a needle to jump on a vinyl record when the weight of the pick-up arm is set to lowest.

In my case, it's a tool bar add-on in my Explorer window.

I also checked the other this fix from Apple and would suggest that anyone having a problem with itunes to jump or other problems itunes with Windows 7 to do both. One of the link above and this one: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1362

So, the bottom line is the problem of: Itunes to jump after Windows 7 64 bit clean upgrade HP Pavilion m9500y, boot IS NOW RESOLVED.

  • virtualize windows 7 triple boot MacBook pro using fusion - no training camp

Hello. I know I've seen many, many messages online on using Bootcamp, but here is my situation. Once again, sorry if this has already been - I searched for a long time, read many messages from Woodyz and others, etc...

    I have a triple boot MBP - refit on/dev/disk0s1, Snow Leopard on/dev/disk0s2 (HFS +), Windows 7 Ultimate 64 (NTFS) on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 (ext4) on/dev/disk0s4 and/dev/disk0s3.

I'd only (for now) to be able to run the Mac Fusion to run Windows (Visual Studio is the primary reason and other members of my group are those of windows).

    That's what I tried:

1.) not mounted/dev/disk0s3 of disk utility

    2.) / applications/VMware\ Fusion.app/Contents/Library/vmware-rawdiskCreator/dev/disk0 3 WIN764 free (once I tried ide) to create

3.) Ran Fusion Version 4.1.3 (730298) to get:

New-> continue create a virtual machine-> custom-> etc etc that up a localized vmwarevm in the Virtual Machines folder...

4.) I then change, with a mac Editor (nano), the vmx in this file to add:

    scsi0:1.present = 'TRUE '.
    scsi0:1.virtualDev = "free".
scsi0:1.filename = "... / WIN764.vmdk" (because the 2 files created by rawdiskCreator are just above this vmwarevm folder.

When all this is done, I just get the rotating bar of DHCP and it says no operating system is located.

I can't find instructions step by step for those of us who do not use bootcamp...

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Steve

Occasionally, I need to create a Virtual Machine using a physical hard disk, temporarily placed in a FireWire enclosure, so what I do is to create a regular file based VM using VMware Fusion and make sure that vHDD of the machine virtual is on IDE.  Then, I use vmware-rawdiskCreator and create a set of files hard for the pHDD as like an IDE drive.  I then manually remove existing hard (empty) files of the virtual machine and place those created with vmware-rawdiskCreator in the packaging of the Virtual Machine and make the changes in the .vmx config file above.  Now depending on the physical Machine, the pHDD came and what OS is installed, I have to first start the Virtual Machine with an ISO Image of the custom of a boot disk WinPE that I then inject the required drivers for disk controllers HARD & keyboard and Windows registry entries when a Windows OS and any additional settings that may be necessary.  This is done to avoid type 0x7 BSOD, etc..

Note: When it is necessary, you will WPA (Windows Product Activation) and other issues of product activation type to be processed when doing this and not all product activation type number are rectifiable so keep that in mind.  Windows and Microsoft Office should be supported by VMware Tools, but others will require creative, if possible solutions, if their manufactured products will not support this usage scenario.

For some information on what is required I basically used information in the importer.iso in the bundle of VMware Fusion.app to validate my own scripts/programs to do the same thing as VMware Fusion as if it was done on the Boot Camp partition.  The content of the .iso make good reading, if you understand such things.

I inserted the cd and restart the computer, but the installation does not start.

The computer is running windows 7 64 bit I want to change to 32 bit

    Hello

You can boot from another drive? Maybe that Windows 7 is noisy and so it can t be read correctly.
    Check this box!

If you want to downgrade from 64 bit to 32 bit you do a fresh install. This means that you need to clean your current Windows partition so backup all files first!

There will be problems with a Dual Boot Vista/Win7?

    Hello

You must ensure that 64-bit Windows 7 drivers are available from the manufacturer of your computer for all the hardware, or it will not work properly.

And is the same for your printer, etc.

Read this tutorial on dual boot them, including system requirements:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/5166-dual-boot-installation-Windows-7-Vista.html

    See you soon.

p.s. We need a full license of Windows for two operating systems, as upgrade does not here apply.

    Hello

    ·         What is the number and model of the printer that you are using?

    ·         How many computers are connected to the host computer?

    Method 1:

You can check the items below that explain how to install a printer in Windows 7.

  • Windows 7 64-bit UEFI boot USB

    Hello

yesterday, I received my new PC. There are asus z87 gryphon UEFI BIOS ver 1707. I was assembled and tested before delivery for me. a test of the operating system was installed for testing and then removed before I got it. I bought this version of win 7: http://pro-jex.de/shop2/Windows-7-Professional-64-Bit-OEM-Vollversion-Betriebssystem-SP1

It's a win 7 64 bit dell OEM. now, I couldn't install it, I only got to the step "expand windows files" and then it will fail with the error code. 0 x 80070017 the dvd is damaged. the dvd looks like it has stripes and used before. but I have the key that should be enough to activate and register windows 7.

After that I tried to do a dvd on my laptop with Ultraiso image but I got stuck and always frozen at 75%.

so I tried to install an ISO image file from digital river. I was able to install a version of windows 7 32 bit on my new PC with a USB boot. I used the windows 7 usb/dvd tool, but now when I try to do the same thing with a win 7 64-bit, the tool says 'invalid ISO file. I found all sorts of things about how I can't make a boot usb for a 64 bit OS form a 32 bit OS. and also is that I have a UEFI bios, it seems that I must examine a few extra points with this kind of bios.

can someone please give me a step by step guide what to do. I want to install windows 7 Professional 64 bit on my new PC. and like I said my purchased OEM dvd seems to be corrupted, BUT I have the key to activate by phone. Wrap:

currently has new PC: windows 7 32-bit professional.

USB drive 8 GB (which I used to install win7 32bits)

It works now and btw the dvd is not hacked, the key that comes with it works. but you must activate by phone because it is an OEM version.

  • 650 HP laptop Windows 7 64-bit boot problem after installation of the graphics driver

I bought the HP 650 laptop which came with Suse Linux.

I installed 64-bit Windows and tried to install the corresponding graphics driver:

High definition (HD) of Intel Graphics Driver

as indicated in the list of drivers for Windows 64-bit here:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5225013&...

After installing the driver asked me to restart the computer and after the reboot, boot, Windows boot after displaying the Windows logo on black background the computer restarts again before you boot into Windows.

After this crash to start a startup repair is suggested and I can complete the restore of the system that allows me to connect to Windows but I have not installed display drivers and things like Aero do not work.

I tried several times and re - install drivers and had the same problem after each attempt.

    Help, please.

It's quite a few updates failed.  This can be linked to the issue, but we don't know really until the update problem is resolved.

Read this document to Microsoft as it addresses this particular error.  It also has various tools to try in case the first option does not correct the problem.

You can also try the Windows Update troubleshooting utility included in Windows 7.

Go to start > Control Panel > find and solve the problems under system and security > fixed problems with Windows Update under system and security.

    Let me know what happens.

Explorer Windows and Windows Media Player can not handle ID3 version 2.4 tags in any version, until and including Windows 7/Windows Media Player 12. Windows can understand ID3 until and including version 2.3.
