  Try the pencil or brush tools. They allow freehand drawings. The pen tool is really reserved for Bézier drawing.

  The tool is there, but you need to scroll down to get it. Plug the top of the toolbar and move your finger down slowly. As your finger moves over the tool icons, a ToolTip will appear showing you the name of the tool. The Freehand selection tool is located in the game under the Lasso tools.   Hello. I'm new to photoshop and have a lot of trouble to choose no matter what form that I shoot. I'm doing a tutorial that is to fill a gray canvas, then by drawing a small white rectangle inside the largest canvas/rectangle gray. (I have not forgotten to unlock the bottom).

  My question: How can I select and fill (white) the second rectangle I draw over a gray rectangle?

  The rectangular selection tool should create a selection that you could edit > fill or use it as a layer of a solid color layer mask.

  I tried for hours to combine two curves I draw with the pencil tool in the form of what I can fill it with a color or a gradient:

  The top row has two lines (rubbed).   When I move them around together, I get a nice shape "flame" I want to use a logo.

  The low line shows what happens when the two 'lines' are 'filled', and what happens when the flame is "completed".   I tried all manor of consolidation, merger, combining... I lost track at this point...

  I think part of my problem is that I guess would be the pencil tool to draw lines (or 'ways' are perhaps more accurate?) - but it seems to be 'forms '.

  I tried to use the pen tool, but the curves are never as smooth as those that I drew "Freehand"...

  What should I do / do differently?

  Just drag - select two higher points with the direct Selection tool and KBSC CmdOpt-shift-J allows to unite lines. Do the same thing at the bottom to fill the shape.

  You want to do a random draw on the fly on a 8-bit grayscale image into a container of Vision.  I then want to merge this draw with the actual image.  I suppose that the draw is an overlay.  Vision has a superposition of merge command that requires RGB destination.  I then used the IMAQ extracted SingleColorPlane to extract the plan of the intensity of the RGB image so that I can return to the plan format unique (U8) use IMAQ ImagetoArray fx to get to a table.  I tried to extract a number of different types of aircraft, but do not see my line on the resulting table (which I display in a graph of intensity).  I don't see the original image.

  Any thoughts on the best way to accomplish a merger of the draw and the original image?

  I write an example showing my current best effort quick a solution non-Vision, not covered with this problem. This approach was mentioned in my previous post.  I will cross-post this in the forum LabVIEW also since it is a solution of pure-LabVIEW.  It is difficult for me to believe that we can not directly to these "overlay" information using NI Vision NI LabVIEW.
